Imagine all the problems that would be solved if people would just read the Official God FAQ.

Great news - mission creators can attach addons to their mission-file. Rendering it alot easier to distribute missions using few addons over server protocol. Of course really big addons wouldnt be too smart to include, but its definately a great thing for small addons like flares, markers, weapons etc.

Seeing that the pope merely quoted a middle-aged document, trying to make a point, I don't have a problem with what he said. But a person like him should be very careful in what he states, and it should be obvious to anyone (especially him), that the muslim belief is very vulnerable at the moment, and that many people that believe in Islam will go the offensive way in these days instead of open dialog. That is why it was pretty naive of the pope to say such statements and not expect an uproar from the least enlightened part of the Muslim community.

I guess BIS is still hoping to get a deal with a larger publisher, and therefor can't publish much themself.

True, they should indeed let the soldiers legs move as well... He will never be able to shoot in a stance like that.
-
Nah he's aiming correctly just leaning as he does it, its not a mistake theres even an anim when the player presses v showing the soldier moving the gun into aim with his eye i dunno, i thought it was gd, ive always been told to do it like that, although i dont like the feet flipping up at the end bootneckofficer Thats what im talking about. The guy is ruining his knees-

I hope there is a runners up prize as you seem to have put a lot of effort in and I wouldn't like it to be wasted @Espectro - any chance of posting a list of people who have entered just so I know my entry is in, my epic entry, my winning entry. You are in Ë -
Putting up a website with values for the most known vehicles would be pretty nice... I will see what I can figure out, BI might be helpfull towards ArmA values prior release.

I agree... The animation of the falling-to-ground soldier is very crappy... A trained soldier would never fall down like that... It won't take many minutes in a combat zone before the soldier is unable to move at all... I wonder why they changed the old animation from OFP?
-
That is very sad. As a soldier you are trained to make the sights go back... But that fast is a bit unrealistic. I remember when I was in service, we were told that we at minimum should be capable of firing a precise shot every 4 seconds. But then again, we used G3 rifles which has alot more kick than any newer US ones.

if anything, it looks like its been left in the beta build to give the bullet path a visual entitity, meaning that they can easily check if ricochet's are working properly etc... its not the finished product after all well, if its for release nov. 10th, then it must be pretty final by now. This is, however, probably an older build. //Edit Not october 10th, but november of course :=)

We indeed does miss a scandinavian publisher.

Hold your horses... This is the problem with microsoft. You can't just up and 'not use Windows Vista'. I'd gladly not use Vista if there would be an alternative that could run games. I was kind of thinking i will switch to the PS3 for my gaming... keep the pc for important stuff, maybe i'll even save cash, because no matter how expensive that console is, it is still cheaper then a strong PC. But i'll still have to learn how that resourcehog Vista works, probably cause a lot of computers will have it. It is gonna take a while until we see directx10 exclusives, and therefor most games (also new ones) will run fine on windowsxp. If you don't like windows at all, I suggest you start playing Pong I am no MS fanboy, but I use the software I find best and easiest to use. I use firefox as a browser, because I like this browser. I use Office instead of openoffice, simply because I find Openoffice too slow and its simply unstable. For various other reason, I do use WinEdit as I write using Latex and CVS system. I use UNIX at my university, and is pretty experienced with it... And still, I will be the first to say that Windows is the only operating system that fullfills most of my needs. Not because it's MS, or because they have alot of money. Simply because it gives the flexitivity I need and still gives me a nice user interface that my eyes want. Other companies had their chance, and hopefully some new ones will get their chances in the new future. Until then, Microsoft; Carpe Diem! -

O Gee... Is MS really trying to exploit it's position and make money? This must be the first company ever trying to make money! Or not! Ive allways been fond of MS, I won't go for the 'lets cheer up for the underdogs hype' which seem to be the human nature much like helping the poor puppy stuck in the sewer. Why not just accept that the people at ms is alot more succesfull than any other software company, and give them the applause for it. They obviously have been doing good, and their software works pretty good. Sure there is errors and bugs, but it is pretty complicated software, and it's probably pretty hard creating an OS with so many features build in that can work together with thousinds of different hardware from hundreds of manufactures around the world. Somewhere which other software developers won't even aproach. Let's give MS a hand everyone, and screw the underdogs -

The word limit stays. I do understand the frustrations though, since I also tend to write longer stories. But the limit has to be somewhere, and as I go on the university in my "free time" , I do have a timelimit as well. The shipping of the trackir is worldwide and is of course included in the prize. You will not be charged for anything if you win Oh... For larger version of the screenshots, it is now possible to click on the little ones to access the larger version. Cheers. -
Dirstubing images, this one?: Hehe I just dont get it. How come every time I read an article like this, you get the assumption that it is a very very common problem and that nearly any gamer is either highly addicted to games, they kill people in their free time, or they a drug addicts. What these articles all have in common, is the lack of real comparable numbers that can go with their 'big words'. Any dead scientist would turn himself over in his/her grave after reading a piece of **** like this. No nothing to back up any of their arguments, except the very few incredible simple and obvious ones, that they always present to make the less-intelligent readers 'back on track', and makes them believe the entire article. The articles always float in the middle of truth, manipulations and direct lies. The people that DO take drugs while playing games - I bet they didn't start taking them in front of the screen in the first place. But what can we do to help it?
