The rest is bull? Cobblers. Not only is it true, but extensive records exist, detailing all of your infractions, the decisions made amongst us and you are more than welcome to have them posted here to show you that I am not talking from my behind. The records that prove your less than impressive track record exist - since they are your record, it is up to you whether you want them plastered here in public, for everyone to see and for your embarrassment, or whether you want to take it on the chin like a man and face up to your behaviour. I have 1 PM from you, dated 12/04/2006, containing no content but a little moan, to which I replied. Your accusation is unfounded. Quite rightly so, however, there's nothing to sort out if I hear nothing from you stating your case. I am not aware of any PMs I may have missed. Whose decision is it then? It is nothing but your own decision, you decided to accuse me and other moderators of ignoring you and victimising you, I merely responded to those charges. Yet again you show that you can't own up to your own behaviour. I refer you to the rules: A Warning Level was therefore very lenient. Whilst password crackers are not explicitly stated in the rules, they nevertheless pose a violation of the quoted article (in spirit, if not in word) and I deem them unacceptable for these forums. Circumventing somebody else's password seems very questionable at best, at worst it is illegal and in order to avoid any repercussions, I choose to follow a hard line towards these tools. The fact that you got a lenient treatment, instead of what's stated in the article, reflects the ambiguous nature of that particular nature and considering your past track record, this is very lenient indeed. This depends entirely on your behaviour on the forums over several months. Your posting, and especially the tone of your postings, has been noted btw. Let me make one thing clear to you Espectro. You have been a constant irritation for the past 4 years. You are very very lucky to be allowed to post here, a lot of your former troublemaker friends are not so lucky and are still banned. Your behaviour has not improved over the last 4 years, you have constantly been argumentative, breaking the rules and then not facing up to it. You continued to spam and then decided to level public accusations against me and the other moderators in this thread here. A lot of people have been permanently removed from this forum for a lot less. You are walking a fine line and I urge you to rethink your behaviour on these forums, esp. considering your past behaviour. You are not being victimised, but your past track record will come up when you next break a rule. Repeat offenders are an endangered species on these forums. I suggest you have a good read through the rules yet again, and don't break them in the future. All you say is true, but is so highly exagerated. You are the moderator, though, so I will not point things out for you as it will most likely result in yet another perm ban on my behalf. You just seem to turn and bend all the posts I make into so blatantly negative I could almost laugh if it wasn't so terrible sad. Cheers

Quite simple, people who apparently do not understand computers or know what they are doing and people who want to degrade the game and make others think it is bad,I have seen people with personal hate for OFP that would stop at nothing to make others think its worthless, and though this may sound 'gamist',they are usually bf2 players. Oh no, don't feed 'em

You must have linked to something naughty me thinks! Â Hehe... Yea, I linked to a software program that can find a lost password for a .rar file. Perfectly legal program - that is why I cannot imagine why that would cause a new bar in the ban'o'meter - but then again, Ex-ronin never liked me and have banned me before for no reason and been unable to tell me the reason... I guess that's how it works. I don't know who to complain, since no Admin will respond in PM - so I assume this is the right place? The admins are awfully quiet atm. though. Selective memory and unfounded accusations, eh? Let's have a look at your track record: 07/09/2002 - Personal attack against a moderator 28/09/2002 - Banned for unacceptable remarks regarding the rape of women 11/10/2002 - Sneaked back in under false username - banned again *at various times other times coming back with various usernames* 04/04/2006 - Spamming in this very Mod Thread 31/10/2006 - Discussing piracy and cracks on the forum On top of that, numerous occasions where you were flaming, spamming and whenever you got caught, you would lie to get yourself out of the situation (which you never managed to do). I suggest you drop it, as you're not doing yourself any favours - quite frankly, I am astounded that you are still around and posting, with that kind of track record. The two above this is true, but the rest is bull. But there is no reason to discuss this... But you must admit it is a little weird that I have to post this in this thread just to get your attention? If you look in your inbox, you would see multiple messages asking for clearness. Any contact to other moderators have simply been 'I don't wanna get involved in that, sort it out with ex-ronin himself'. Not too easy as you simply ignore any kind of contact (except this, which is a very low form of communication - I don't think a public thread like this should be used, but it is simply not my decision). But now that I have your attention - this 'cracks and ilegal software' - is that the bruteforce program you are reffering to? The reason I ask is well.. Is programs for finding a lost password for windows etc. also ilegal here? The reason I ask is, that the program I linked to isn't a crack. It is simply a program that tries various of combinations to find the correct password in a .rar file. I have tried myself in numerois occasions to need it, either because I password protected it myself and simply forgot the password, or that I had forgotten where I had downloaded the archive from (which is where the password normally is public available from). I must admit that I have never seen a software developer use .rar password protection as their way of protecting the software they have copyright on. Last - does the bars never go down? Cheers and hopefully the end of this discussion.

That's brilliant thinking, trevor! That must explain why he caved to the Democrats and booted Rumsfeld the day after the election! If anything, Bush will probably be open to compromise so that he can leave office with decent approval ratings. How, pray tell? The US's recent foreign policy adventures hardly compare to British or Roman imperialism. The scale is far too small, there's no attempt to install American culture, and so on. For starters, if the US was actually going to indulge in full-bore imperialism, why not invade Venezuela? They've got lots of oil, and there'd be no stomping on a hornet's nest of Islamic fanatics. Or if there was some pressing need to get Iraqi oil, why not just use to power of the Marines and Navy to capture the oil fields, set up a defensive screen, and simply pipe the oil to a harbor and bring it out through the Gulf? There'd be no need to pacify cities like Fallujah and Baghdad if the US was simply invading to gain resources. Not to mention, I'm pretty sure any self-respecting Roman would have been insulted if you thought America's Inspector Clouseau-quality Iraq adventure compared to the conquest of Europe, Asia Minor, Egypt, and North Africa. I'm just as saddened as you. Turn away from religion? You're asking this of a country where snake-handling is still considered an acceptable religious practice in some regions ? Not to mention that until three years ago, there were states where sex between gay men could be punished with 10 year jail sentences (Not to mention that under Idaho law, sodomy could theoretically be punished with a life sentence). It's not all that weird. Remember, the US was founded just a few hundred years ago by religious nuts with guns, so it's quite understandable that religious nuts with guns are still an important political force. It is weird when seeing it from overseas. After all, the people who founded America, mostly comes from Eurpope. The evolution seems to have just halted overthere. The American leaders used fear as a tool to 'war on terror'. You can also see this by the recent 'scandal' of a muslim getting into the congress overthere. People are afraid of it - they have fear. And it is only themself and their leaders to blame - it's called ignorance.

LOL  55% well look this screenshot.... http://games.tiscali.cz/reviews/arma/img8.jpg no wonder they gave 55% i would say tiscali need a better computer  I dont get it... The build is one of the newest ones - and it still look worse than some of the mods for OFP?

are you referring to capitalism or perhaps nationalism which they sure aren't No, i'm talking about religion - which I pointed out. Anyway, what Denoir said really made me think. I didn't realise the American people to be that far behind Europeans (if they are even following EU?). Perhaps the US people are getting more and more religious? Who knows - it sure is a whole different topic. It is just pretty weird that religion (Christianity) is so hard boiled into the leader of the states when looking from over here in Denmark, where oppinions, values and leadership isnt considered a religious thing but - well, a matter of oppinions and the person himself. The US just seems so middleaged in it culture, while the technology is certainly up-to-date. A nation leading it's people by fear - that's a dangerous mix.

lol, I doubtit - since its a perfectly legal program. It is normally used for legal reason, but can of course be used ilegal... Same way with software like Windows, Firefox, Internet Explorer and others - Can't believe that would have anything to do with it.
-
Let's hope this will turn America away from being the religious rightwing extreme country it is.

The czechs aren't known for their vodka, they're known for their beer. No wonder they've got the world's highest beer consumption. [im]http://www.api.or.at/akis/kurzinfo/intkons/gif/intbierkons.gif[/img] Budvar is a really great beer. I guess I'll have to drink some while waiting for the demo... edit: German gaming magazine Gamestar looks for some people to test the game with them. http://www.gamestar.de/news....er.html Munich, Germany. Actually, my favorite czech beer is urquell (spelled with some umlaut, this crappy UNIX machine won't let me, though). Im so ashamed for being danish though, only a fifth place - I do what I can to make it better, though. Must be all the 'private' importing from germany

Why did I get another ban-o-meter? Also, Ive had the two others have been there for 9 months now... Weren't they supposed to go away after 2 months each? I have tried PM'ing both Placebo and Ex-ronin with no result, so I assume it is someone else from the mod-staff? (I don't wanna spam all moderators with the same question since that will only lead to confusion). Cheers

John Kerry obviously tried to provocate Bush, and not the soldiers in Iraq. When he said "stuck in Iraq", he meant that Bushwas stuck (hence Iraq is all Bush is talking about - nothing else.). That people think Kerry tried to provocate the soldiers, is a result in Bush' comments to Kerrys speech. The picture of the soldiers is quite funny though, and shows extremely well how biased the news and oppinions these soldiers are given. But who could blame them - they are afterall far away from any non-biased news source.

I dont know much about BF2 - never played it to be honest. I know what people around here think about it, and I don't wanna try it out, since im absolutely sure it will be crap (in my eyes). I didn't like BF1942, and I assume BF2 gameplay is somewhere around it. I like gameplay, teamplay and long-lasting battles with military radio contact over Teamspeak. That is why I liked OFP - and will hopefully enjoy ArmA as well. I can't follow you (topic-creator) 100%, though - I only rarely see any bashing of BF2 (or any other game for that matter) on these and other OFP-sites. When I see them, I simply ignore them - you should do that too. I assume most people around here are enlightened enough to see that BF2 is meant to be played in another way than OFP and ArmA is - it's quite simple. Minesweeper will probably not be liked by most people inhere (don't flame me now), but that's because it's meant to be played differently than what people here seek. I think the upper statement about BF2 is the first time I even mentioned BF2 here or anywhere else among our community. -
Hmm, the majority of the ofp-community is Europeen.

A Athlon X2 4400+, GeForce 6800GT 256 and 1 GB RAM is far from a low end machince. It is still possible to turn down settings even though you on a high-end machine

Link Removed, Warning Added //Edit - Since it uses the bruteforce method, you cant have it run on multiple archives, but you can have several instances open at once cracking the code.

Yea, the flashpoint1985.com was alot better... It had diaries etc. when under development, and videoes of all the vehicles and stuff like that prior release.

Well, I agree that it isn't a big deal, but I still think some of the guys sent downthere are way too young. How can you decide if you want to go to war when aged 18 or 19? A different debate none the less -
Actual units firing the shells...

Yep, so if I ever say anything stupid... You know it MUST be one of the mods playing around

Maybe they shouldn't send out 20-year olds to a war. This isn't the soldiers fault, it's the ones who sent them out.
