No, not a full year, about 10 months, if our log is correct. PM the mod who added them to you... How can I see who it was?
-
When does my WL decrease? It's been a year now...?

What clans? Are they gonna play OFP instead then? Who will they play against, lol? Anyway - with that attitude, you be grateful you weren't around in OFP 1.00. Far more serious problems were present back then - and MP with more than 4 players were unplayable 100% of the time. Thank god that most of the community is aware of the potential of the game, rather than its current state.

OFP was a singleplayer game with added multiplayer feature. ArmA is a multiplayergame with added singleplayer feature.

Crashing to desktop in cut scenes and stutter
Espectro (DayZ) replied to Daston's topic in ARMA - TROUBLESHOOTING
Please don't spread this nonsense. ArmA works fine under Vista. It is of some other problem. -

Vista supports directx9 fine. I am using vista and have Audigy onboard sound. Works like a charm. Try run the game as administrator. -

Very nice mate... But why is the guy wearing sunglasses on his ID-card? Isn't that a bit weird? Just a minor detail, of course -

Armed Assault.info : Some people are complaining about the campaign to be not as elaborate as OFP campaign was ... Marek Spanel : Yes, it' real, we have a campaign with a military point of view, not a gaming one, we know it. While developping the game we have to make choices, we have chosen to work on the core of the game itself, the engine is really a new engine! ---- Rofl - This made me grin a bit for myself... Isn't this the quite oppocite? The campaign in ArmA is so imprecise and unrealistic from a military point of view.... Hmm, I might have misunderstood what he said - or?

I don't think the pilots ever mentioned tanks... they only mentioned riveted vehicles, green vehicles and what appeared to them as to be ZIL-157 trucks, so if they indeed were iraqi army vehicles trying to pose as british vehicles with orange chevrons on top, you would let them pass even if your ground controller would tell you there were no friendlies in the area, right? Â I've just watched the video again of youtube and it's got audio comments stating the A-10s were flying at 10,000 feet and then dropped to 4,000 feet to engage - which I find odd because normal A-10 flight altitude should be lower than either - and I don't know if I'd recognize any vehicles nor orange chevrons from an altitude of 10,000 feet, but alas, I'm no aviator... Though why the iraqi army would have green-painted vehicles and orange-painted rocket launchers would intrigue me alot - wouldn't think that to be normal... And here I thought that in the 21st century with GPS etc at least the ground controllers should know what the battlefield looks like... Wouldn't want to think what would have happened if the ground controller had ordered an MRLS strike on said "targets"... Â Edit: I wonder why the local FAC's accompanying the british units didn't get on the radio and checked in their positions and told the pilots exactly where all the friendly forces were before the A-10's made their run... Â Yea, but you can hear how lousy the pilot is to figure out what area he is watching. Numerious times he mistakes West from East.... That isn't very profesional. They also report the orange roofs of the 'tanks', which should be the fist indication of friendlies - and you have to be 100% certain of the vehicles - especially when they are marked orange. The pilots is the only ones to blaim. Of course it's a mistake - but if I was fighting down there, I wouldn't want them over my head... Pilots who doesn't know the four corners yet...

Hey guys, just stumbled upon this one: http://arstechnica.com/journals/thumbs.ars/2007/1/25/6755 Go to link for full article. Now, How in the world can a big company like Sony even believe that it can get away with something like this? It clearly HAVE to be a mistake... But how in the world does this happen - where did that picture come from?

Windows Vista Finally Released (Drivers too!)
Espectro (DayZ) replied to sickboy's topic in OFFTOPIC
For system builders-only are OEM releases which the computer selling and building companies may use to install their new computers with which they sell... Think about Dell, IBM, Acer etc... These versions are cheaper than the retail versions or upgrade versions that  customers can buy in the shops. If you have a willing computer shop, you can get such version there with the only downside that you can't use it to upgrade If I build my own PC - can I use these? I heard somewhere they are basically the same, but won't work if you replace your motherboard. -
Partly destroyable buildings

Yea, I already stated that earlier in the thread. The parts need to go all the way up, more or less vertical :-) -
Partly destroyable buildings
Espectro (DayZ) replied to Espectro (DayZ)'s topic in ARMA - ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
Yea, the rest of the building will still be enterable even though some of it is destroyed. I could imagine simply making all four (if split up in four pieces) should be made enterable indepentendly so it won't really have any impact on AI pathfinding when some of the building is collapsed. -
Great to see a reply from you Suma. Any chance that the work on the patches to be 'more open'? Maybe having a status quo page updated weekly at the biki telling us what you are working on? I'm not asking for an entire essay here, of course - just a list. Cheers

Exactly... But a square building with roof isn't that many polys. Even if it was multiplied by 20. -

Heh... I gave them a couple months now... It's just a bit frustrating looking at ya two 7600GT when you can only use one of them. I'm gonna get Vista final soon. Does anyone know if it's legal/possible to install Vista on two PCs? (Home Premium).
