  1. Serial number is the CD Key.

That error if steam is because it's not run as administrator, twice you've failed to mention which version of the game you have?

Maybe you should open your eyes and read the thread title you person you.

I put the cd key in where it asks for the serial number and it says:

    1. Activation process has been terminated

The SERIAL was not found in the database. Most likely the SERIAL has been entered incorrectly.

Press 'Back' to retry activating (please verify the correct input of the SERIAL) or click 'Cancel' to abort.

If the problem persists, please visit our support homepage for possible solutions: https://support.securom.com/PAunlock/?c=1200

Then it gives me the option to manually activate and I hit that then it says......

    2. An online activation can not be performed. Please contact your software vendor to manually retrieve your unlock code.

Please make sure, that you have prepared the following information:

    -Registration Code (Serial number)

-Unlock request code which is displayed below.

Please visit our support homepage for possible solutions: https://support.securom.com/PAunlock/?c=1000

Then it says unlock requestcode: XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Unlock Code: (blank space for me to enter it)

serial: (blank space for me to enter it)

I just had an epiphany. How about instead of calling a cd key a serial number, installation key, and registration code at different times during the installation process. We just call it what its real name is which is a cd key. Crazy right? So how do I fix this outrageous, crazy, insane, rediculous problem I'm having?

  2. There is a cap on speed of raising and lowering the weapon. Which is why you complain.

My complaint is if you are looking down your iron sites on your rifle and egaging multiple targets you swing your head and rifle together not your head faster than you can swing you rifle. Your head and eyes are stuck on the rifle and keep looking down it.

They move together when you move them together - slowly enough. It isn't different IRL. Try holding an object in front of you and start rotating your head very fast and count how much time it will take you to move that object in front of your view exactly where it was with your hands.

It is different just like I explained. And your argument is also disproven by the fact that NONE of this applies to left and right movement. Its like the gun is weightless and your head and rifle move instantly together. This is something i already explained in this thread. So the excuse of explaining this away as the weight of the weapon is false because the weapon is weightless in your left to right movement.

  3. The weapons weight huh, ok i didnt know that. But that is not how it should be if you are looking through your iron sites. What should happen is there should be a cap on speed raising and lowering the weapon. But youre head and weapon should move together if looking down the sites.

---------- Post added at 02:34 AM ---------- Previous post was at 02:29 AM ----------

And also.. if its the weapons weight then shouldn't it apply to left and right movement too? So like I said I'm right you're wrong. Thanks for the sarcasm though, fail.

  4. There is a really terrible nonsense feature in the game. If you move your mouse up and down your head moves first and your gun lags behind it and catches up to it after a second. So if you jerk your mouse up to the sky hard your head will look at the sky and your gun will take a minute to catch up to wear you're looking. But if you look left or right your gun and head move together instantly with no lag. So essentially you can shoot targets more easily and faster if they are to your left or right but slower and harder if they are above or belove you. Is there a way to make the up and down looking like the side to side looking? Please update the game and remove this crap or tell me how to fix it. Thanks.

  5. could u put the files into winrar and check crc32 i attached a screenshot of working files.

    http://dao.nu/bild/problem.jpg

make a new winrar archive and move the files inside it and compare crc32.

if they do not match the files are demaged.

write me a pn in this case and i upload u this winrarfile.

Hey, I don't know how to do that stuff. Do you think I could download those files and just replace them and see if it works? Where do they go?

  6. I made a thread about this on the DAO server website and one of the guys said

    23:46:03 Player Pvt.Tyrannical-C5-: Wrong signature for file c:\program files (x86)\steam\steamapps\common\arma 2\addons\ca.pbo

    23:46:03 Player Pvt.Tyrannical-C5-: Wrong signature for file c:\program files (x86)\steam\steamapps\common\arma 2\addons\missions_ew.pbo

    23:46:03 Player Pvt.Tyrannical-C5- disconnected.

I reinstalled arma 2 and oa and I'm still getting kicked.

  7. Do you have 2 5970 in crossfire? Is ur arma 1.59?

    Yes.

Myke;1891779']I don't understand why it has always be maxed out. This is pure nonsense. With your rig' date=' i'm sure you should be able to play with high to very high settings, probably reducing viewdistance to somehwat lower than 10000 will already give you a good boost.

FYI, the following settings rely on the CPU: Viewdistance, terraindetail & objectdetail. If playing with the viewdistance slider gives direct reactions on the FPS, then it is clear, your CPU does limit.[/quote']

What do you mean why it has to be maxed out.. because I want the highest graphics settings in my game to make it better. I am getting fps where it is unplayable at times and I shouldn't be thats the problem. Other people on ts say they are getting 60 frames.. i should be getting more than them.

  8. As above in what [GLT]Myke said, nothing broken, nothing to be fixed. CPU should not be running at 100% at all times, that's not good. But try out prime 95 and see how your CPU is working. There should be an tutorial on youtube or what not.. Also try out ArmA OA benchmark and see what kind of FPS you are getting.

Well the thing that's not working is I'm not getting enough frames to play arma on max settings much of the time. Just wondering with my computer if thats what should be happening or not. I have an alienware area 51 alx with the cpu and graphics cards mentioned earlier.. I'm gonna check out those programs when I get the time. Everyone else in game is saying theyre getting 60 frames.. i should be getting better than they are.

  9. Try setting "video memory" to "default" under advanced settings, it worked for me as I was experiencing similar issues.

That pretty much fixed the spinning around lag and a lot of the problem.. but still I check my graphs in the task manager and none of my cpus r going more than 80 percent and I'm still getting low frame rates and too much video lag.. You made it better thanks but does anyone know how to get cpus to 100 percent?

  10. Hi.. I'm getting a ton of video lag in arma 2 oa. I have intel core i7 x980 @ 3.33ghz. I think I have 6 of those processors. I have 2 ati 5970s. I was trying to figure out why and looking at the processor graphs in the task manager. I noticed they rarely go above 70 or 80 percent. My buddy told me to disable hyper threading and I did that and I still have the lag. Like if I spin my character around in place on max settings I get EXTREMELY bad lag. So I'm assuming its the processors not working at 100%.. So does anybody know how I can fix this and get these processors all working at 100% in arma 2 oa?
