  1. Another balancing question If i wanna make a campaign mainly for single player, how do I balance the use of AI soldiers? I dont want to use an AI commander I dont think because it just gets too messy and laggy. I think i wanna use Spyders recruitment mod. But how do I best balance what the player can recruit or at least make it so they dont just recruit a full squad with no consequence constantly? Or is there a better way to do it?

    Are you sure? Wiki lists that the pg-7v only penetrates 260mm of armor Abrams has 350 mm of protection AT THE LOWEST. Im not saying youo might not be right, it just seems odd that a primitive warhead from the 60s can take out a tank that came out in the 80s.

    Why is it that a regular old PG-7V warhead can one shot an abrams in RHS? Im hoping its some sort of glitch? A tandem charge PG-7VR I can definately understand but in the video hes just using the old obselete warhead.

  5. Also whats the official way to save/load a single player game? Assuming im playing on a LAN game, do I hit "save" or do I "abort"? And when I want to load back in, do I "resume" or "restart"? Thanks
  6. What are the best settings to use if I want to create a "winnable" insurgency campaign? For example, should I set enemy reinforcements to "infinite"? It seems like that would make sense for an insurency but also it seems like if i take over a sector or town, they would just retake it over considering their infinite manpower. Any good and simple way to set an "end objective"?

    Cant join my dedicated server

    So I set up a dedicated server with TADST. It shows up on the browser and evertyhing. ALL required ports are open. The mission im trying to host is a custom made ALIVE+some other mods mission. So I try to join the server, and it connects but the screen keeps "blinking" and i can see text that says something along the lines of "blah blah content no longer exists" I have the same mods enabled when trying to connect that I had when I made the mission. And the mission works if I try to play it in lan, so i dont think its a dependency issue. i tried deactivating ALL mods and making a mission from scratch with no mods enabled. And it works. I just dont understand because all my mods that I used to make the mission are mods that I have currently enabled now!     Have you guys discussed changing the ATGM firing sounds? They all have some characteristic sound and delay irl before they fire. IIRC the konkurs has a characteristic "zooooop" sound before it fires and the TOW has like a thump. To to mention they have more bass in real life. I think its excellent you guys added the spiral flight path though.

    how in depth is the armor penetration system in RHS? Does it matter where you hit the vehicle? Like say if you hit the turret of a tank, will you only damage the gunner/commander and not the driver? Is it possible to kill all crew and leave the vehicle "relatively" unscathed?

    So since there is no config for RHS, all the soldier classes of RHS will have the same coefficient? AKA an insurgent will be the same as a spec ops? Im assuming RHS units will still benefit from the AI changes however even without a config?

    What is the best difficulty settings (for Precision and Skill) to use in conjunction with this AI? Should I leave it at the default 50% for each?

    Is RHS meant to be played without ACE? I know there are unofficial compatibility files but should I just forego ACE when using RHS to keep things simple?

    I honestly feel like the simulation of tanks and APCs in RHS has now gotten to steel beasts level of detail. All the sights, lasing systems and stuff are accurate. Is there anything missing that makes RHS less of an armor sim than steel beasts?

    Are their classnames for the RHS factions besides US and RU? Like the CHdkz or some of the other greenforce factions? For use with alive.
  18. I have a question If I want more helicopters to spawn and spawn in specific places, can I put my own helipads down as objects? Will alive detect them as a spawnpoint for the chopper and place them their? Because right now on Tanoa for example, it is spawning Project Opfors Takistani Army choppers in hangars and other weird places where they will just suicide trying to take off.

    He means Syrian Arab Army You should consider making Hezbollah or Hamas, as they both have unique weaponry and fight in small unit formations, making them fit in the scope of your included groups. Also some cool south american factions for use on tanoa would be awesome. Maybe FARC?

    Why does that matter for a grunt? The average american infantryman doesnt do that, nor do most countries that ive seen.

    Just curious and this doesnt really have to do with the RHS mod but Why do russian soldiers wear balaclavas so much? It seems like even regardless of the weather they are wearing it.
