  2. Hi community!

    I am the Dragon44 and I release some addons of the Brazilian Army. For some time I make addons from Brazil and other Latin American countries and I hope to soon launch a few more addons that I have here. In the future I plan to release addons for ArmA2 too.

    The first addons that you can give are airmobile infantry and MBT Leopard 1A5 which is currently the main tank of the Brazilian Army.

    I am looking for an addon that had seen long ago that changed the textures of the streets of the game, but until now could not find, if anyone knows the name or some similar addon I ask you please post here. I'm making a new island and I would like to use this addon that greatly improves the streets and roads of the game.

  4. I got it! thanks for help Kju :) now the model is locked and the addon is functioning normally.

    I'm with other problems regarding the construction of aircraft's, but I'll post this in another topic.

  5. The error continues. What I did was unzip the file .pbo after being compressed by BinPBO config and change the format .bin by .cpp ... ok, when I was in the game to see the soldier he appeared like this:

    I think that is missing the section CfgModels in config, correct?

    If I leave the config format .bin the game closes and the error.

    Thank you for your help, at least the soldier is already appearing in the game.

  7. I'm trying lock an addon of troops that I made using the model of BIS, only when using the BinPBO to lock the addon in the game and I see the soldier's game an error and closes. This only happens when you lock the soldier, is replacing the config and am using the p3d soldier almost unchanged. Log BinPBO issues that apparently shows that the error is with the program. The file to be binarized has to be placed in some special folder? or have to put any command on BinPBO apra work properly? this only happens when binary code addons soldier.

  8. That's why not much talk these issues here in the forum, I have to fear :butbut:! people think that something is wrong and we end up paying for it.

    From my point of view what happens is that we can enjoy the other games, including all of them, I do not want the addons ArmA are the only "imported" but has a thing or two we can take. And it need not be banned because of people using the wrong program, just people do not leave these people to disclose them here at work and in community sites dedicated to the game.

    I see the FS, GTA and other games available addons excellent and I wonder, why not ask the author for permission and transform this into an addon? Now if I make this addon from scratch for sure he will be beautiful as the model for another game and I lose more time.

    Same with the addons ArmA see such an addon of SuperPuma already launched and ready, and I would like to make an addon of SuperPuma more so have to make from scratch? is easier to ask permission to the author of this SuperPuma released and use it, for me it is same with other games, if we can use other addons just changing textures of the weapon or other things because we can not use addons for other games, it quaze the same thing.


  9. That is the version I use most often, I am wondering, did select the proper FOV when you imported.

    ok, I will follow the recommendations of the configuration 3dripper posted here on the topic ;) Another tip for those who want to import the models of the FS is to use the "MDLtoDXF" with this tool you will pass the files on .mdl to .dxf and 3dmax files can be opened after .dxf is only for export. 3ds and open in oxygen2.

    Below is some pictures of that two aircraft converted by this method that quoted. The inner part of I am creating textures through photoreal and most of the textures I'm using the outside of the FS:

  10. Hi!

    I search some time ago how to convert the FS models to 3DS for O2 can convert to and put in the game. Able to convert models from other games as GTA and BF, the only way that was posted here in the GTA forums, because I believe that with the authorization of the authors of the 3D models do not have any problem moving to the ArmA\ArmA2. It is something we should explore more of the community as these other games offer many good models and that of course would give great addons. I am converting some models in secret for ArmA\ArmA2 always with the permission of the true author, and my only role of the converter and the result has been very good! Once the work is finished I will launch for the community too. And if interest I post here are my methods of converting these games, FS, GTA, BF and others ...

    In 3DRipper when I caught one of the FS aircraft and opened it in 3dmax it was flattened, but impossible to take the model =S

Yes it is truth that this must be used with much caution and the community has whenever to control addons converted, I do not want to see people using this of missed form, rank this for good addon-makers that it is community has. I think that this tool is a form to improve and to enrich our works, you converts the model of some game but you only go to have the base of its work the remain you are with you, you have addons-makers in the community that with a devotion pledged on one addon converted would make an excellent work. This is only the first step.

    I search the conversion of some models of different games because always I think (ours as this he would be excellent in the ArmA) and search as to pass, forever to improve the game. And I look for through this topic to share my knowledge on this, to share these discoveries and thus to extend each time more the content of addons of the ArmA. But it is this that says, has that to be used of correct and moderate form, that they go to convert search the authorization of the real author of addon!
