How to convert pbo to 3ds

I have... just not enough apparently. So you mean I should fully explore the program before I ask questions? What a novel concept! OK, I withdrawal my previous request

    Milkshape 3d

O2lite does seem to be a good program (I'm new to it, the jury is still out). However, it would be nice to be able to convert 3d models from Milkshape (and all other 3d programs, particularly 3DMax 3ds files) to allow the OFP community to take advantage of pre-built models that are all over the web. You'd still have to add the LOD stuff, but it would save a ton of time and push mod development forward at a much faster rate. Deke

How to convert pbo to 3ds

The OFP Editing Center has a oxygen to 3ds conversion utility for download. It's in the Editing center under 3rd party utilities. No idea how well it works. Personally, I'm more interested in a 3ds to p3d conversion tool. Anyone have any idea if this exists? Oh, the URL is http://www.ofpec.com/ Hope this helps, Deke

    .3ds models into oxygen

I'd love to know if .3ds to oxygen file format was possible. I'm new to 02, but there are tons of available 3ds models on the net. Would be nice to be able to convert them over and just do the texturing/lod stuff. If you can help, I'd much appreciate it. Deke
  5. As is the norm, once I ask the question I find the answer on my own. The image dimensions must be in 16x dimensions... Duh! THanks for reading this anyway Deke
  6. I'm trying to learn how to use O2 Light and completed the tutorial available on the Breath site with little difficulty. I'm now trying to work on my own denovo project but when I attempt to load a texture I get the message: "Cannot convert 'left_view.gif" to 'left_view.pac'" I searched the forum and the web and could not locate any specifics on texture rules. The textures that came with the making an m16 tutorial load just fine and I'm using all the same settings with my own textures. Any suggestions as to the problem or other things I should read? Much appreciated! Deke
