I think you only have to replace the defaults from the Data and Data3D pbos in the \Res\Dta\Hwtl directory.

There's always Inquisitor's NVGs You need to un-PBO the Res Data and Data3D files to install them, and I get occasional crashes, but they give you a better field of vision and better image quality.

The only 'jump to soldier' feature I ever remember seeing were in the Rainbow Six series, as well as it's bastard-offspring, Ghost Recon... For me it was only a work-around for the friendly AI, who often seemed to be asleep at the wheel.

I use Paint Shop Pro to add a light-source illumination effect in the top right corner, before adding a slight blur to help get rid of any nasty jaggies. Thanks for the comments, guys.
