Been away for a while. Some very nice shots, everyone.

Looks okay. I'm a Jake Gyllenhaal fan (after Donnie Darko) so I may see it simply for that reason. (Though, for the record, I vastly prefer his sister.) As an aside, re: Roland Emmerich, I find it interesting that Independence Day and The Patriot are often criticised for being too jingoistic, yet were directed by a German. (Not that I'm saying either were very good, even if I did think the F/A-18/Grand Canyon chase scene was pretty cool.)

I stumbled across this article the other day. May be of some interest. (On a lighter note: It would blow my mind if this thread descended into a flame war. Â )

I agree, Col. Kurtz. The Steven Wallace case sticks out in my mind.

Source. Hurrah. Interesting to see them revive the franchise and shift the focus completely after so long (Two, three years since CC5: Invasion Normandy?) and with some diversification - I get the impression that 'First to Fight' would be similar to Full Spectrum Warrior. More here.

New Zealand Police: The bottom image shows members of the Armed Offenders Squad, our equivilant of SWAT, who respond to regional call-outs. Of note is the fact that our beat/patrol officers don't carry side-arms. There's hushed talk of Sergeant's patrol cars with arsenals in the trunk, but as far as I know that's a rumour. My experience with the police has been rather limited, though the cops I've met and dealt with have been okay guys. One time, a friend of mine was driving with passengers on his restricted license (You must hold a restricted for one year prior to holding a full license. One of the terms is that you aren't allowed to carry passengers) which is a finable offense. But, this officer simply asked my friend to do twenty push-ups, gave him a warning then sent him on his merry way.

Well, it is. In a brand-diversification sort of way. Sort of. I'm looking forward to Red Phoenix the most. The book was pretty good as far as technothrillers go.

As a relative new-comer to the community with a decidely subdued entry, I was quite suprised to recieve so many votes - A huge thank-you to everyone who voted for my entry, and to Operation Frenchpoint for providing me with such a wonderful muse. Also, I tip my hat to Harnu for contributing so much to Operation Flashpoint Combat Photography. Now let's all get drunk and play ping-pong.

Nice shots as usual, Acecombat. --

- You often threaten to 'Stitch people's asses into footballs' and 'Dropkick them from here to New Jersey.' Ah, good times.

I'm trying to take advantage of my 15 minutes of fame before I'm declared a one-hit wonder. (Interested in purchasing a 'Doc. Zaius Lean Mean Grilling Machine'?)

Thanks for the votes and kind words, folks.

I agree. I remember there were threats of legal action by veteran's families because of some Ghost Recon mods that centered around Operation Gothic Serpent or contained actual names of the deceased.

My vote went to #3. Love them all, particularly #7.

I think there's a bundle being released with Forgotten Battles and the Aces Expansion Pack. (Excellent, excellent game by the way.)

-- Great shots, everyone. I especially like yours, AimPoint. Also, (my apologies if this comes off as a little premature, but I'm away until the end of the week) a very big thank you everyone who voted for my submission over here.
