What are the best flying/piloting missions?
Doc. Zaius replied to Silent N Deadly's topic in USER MISSIONS
This one is quite good. The concept is pretty bog-standard, but the execution is outstanding. It even has an HTML flight manual to guide you through Hudson and Pennywise's F/A-18. -
Nice pics, all. -- US Army Special Forces on patrol with Tonalese government troops, central Tonal. Addons used: BAS Delta/Ranger pack, VITAPC, BAS Tonal/OPFOR.
-
Awesome pics, everyone. Love those Snake Eyes, Mr. Burns and thirtyg. -- JSDF General Kosuke Nakamura is recieved by a guard of honor at Tonal International Airport. [mg]http://lateshow.walagata.com/JSDF_General3.jpg[/img]>100kb Addons used: BAS Tonal, Battle Over Hokaido units.

One more, since I'm doing this rather than write a history essay. Addons used: RHS T-55 pack, DKM UK Pack.
-
Nice pics, everyone. -- Longbow on the prowl... Preparing for a pop-up attack... Targets identified. Master arm set, LOAL mode selected... Hellfire away! Taking a closer look... Addons used: Llauma sky, Y2K3 Config (for the Longbow)

Source Nice to know our NZLAVs are being put through their paces.

Thanks so much for uploading them. And a b-side. Awesome. Â

Thirty seconds. We went like this, he went like that. I said to Hollywood, "Where'd he go?" Hollywood says, "Where'd whoooo go?" Ah, such a guilty pleasure.

Wow. One righteous, ass-kicking helo. cassandra: Will the intro music from the demo mission be released from your MP3 site? I like it a lot.
-
I liked the Scottish song in BlackHawk Dwon, but I can't remember it's name. Minstrel Boy by Joe Strummer and the Miscaleros?
-
(For those that mentioned the Medal of Honor series) I almost forgot about Michael Giacchino. I loved the musical score from the PS2 version of Medal of Honor. My favorite being the tune from the level 'Arnhem Knights' - a sample of which is available here. (Right click, save as. MP3, about 5 mb.) He also did the music for the Medal of Honor series on other platforms, Call of Duty, and occasionally for the TV show Alias. More samples of his work are available here.

I have to echo Llauma's Has Zimmer sentiments. I particularly liked the stuff he did for Black Hawk Down - Gritty, intense. As for other composers, I find that James Horner's musical score from Glory is a favorite.

Can an Apache Longbow sucessfully lock up a Lotus Exige at minimum range? Silly, but entertaining nonetheless. (Especially when the rotor-wash starts moving the car. ) http://www.sleepy-fish.com/sleepy/Top_Gear_Exige_hi.wmv (44 mb)

I concur with most of what you say, Unhappy customer. Was it a stupid mistake? Of course. But are there any friendly fire incidents that don't look stupid in retrospect?
-
Great weapons. I've found that they're incompatible with the eECP. When playing with them through eECP the weapon name displays as the M24SWS and has the same sounds and (presumably) characteristics. The M-82 lacks the effects, too. Works fine through Pappy Boyington's Y2K3 config, though.

Agreed on both points. (My mind exploded trying to work out twelve Hellfires and 72 FFARs.) And, yes, Clarkson hosts some other things. I especially liked a series he fronted called 'Speed' where he did stuff like ride a jet powered bicycle and put an English Electric Lightning in his garden, much to his wife's chagrin.

If the crew sees it they can lock onto it, whatever the object. You flight sim fans going around ruining our aviation fantasies. Have you watched the clip though? The test parameters made the demonstration about as realistic as that Comanche scene in The Hulk. As I said, silly but entertaining.

This is what too much time on one's hands looks like. On a side note, I had no idea Flashpoint's aircraft take steps to avoid colliding into ground vehicles when flying very low. That's quite cool. Anyhow, back on topic: A video of the 'aforementioned Harrier vs Dump car with super engine on an aircraft carrier' segment is available here. It's a Real Video file, though. Â

Awesome.

Nice shots, everyone. -- Advancing to contact... (DKM's Challenger 2, BAS Tonal Island, Llauma's sky)
-
Yes, that was my favorite part. The last paragraph, especially.
-
This is brilliant.
-
I can see them. Looking good. That camo looks effective as hell.
-
Nice work. That Cuban Mustang skin looks cool.

Beautiful.
