  1. the M4 and MP5 ARE NOT SNIPER RIFLES. They are rapid fire assault weapons used by spotters for close quarter engagments. They have no where near the range that a true sniper rifle has and accuracy of a true sniper rifle. I would not list the M4 and MP5 as a "sniper rifle" unless you want to look lke a complete fool.

    Does the word CLOSE RANGE. Mean anything to you?

    These aren't for pick bird out of trees at 700m these are fore close range work in a city where you rarely get 100m away.

    I also have included a M40 and A Barett 82a1. So go ahead and flame way. I really don't care. I have heard worse.

    The SR25 is a modified version of the M16 and M4 so do not tell me they cannot be made into sniper rifles. And alot of the SR25s I have seen are using .22 long. rock.gif

    So now all Mp5 and M4s need to and will be removed that leaves all of you with only a FNmag58, MArk 23, 40, and a Barrett light fifty. Or mabe I should just quit I have taken enogh crap in the comunity already.

    So say what you want moderators do what you want I don't care.

    I really don't see what makes the a3s muzzel so wierd.

    The weapons will be JAM compatible.(For ones that are coded into JAM)

  3. As far as I know, all MP5's are supressor capable.  I know for a fact that there are QD supressors for both the "3-lug" stle flashhider, and the more popular "Navy" style.

    Also, instead of making a "M4 Sniper Rifle", how about a Mk11?  Here's the info

    Actualy it was late here where I posted and that SR25 is similar to what I made. I know that the SR25 exists but The sniper rifles are with the eceptoin of my M40 are special aplication. rock.gif (I forgot to make a 82a1 "light fifty".)

    All MP5s are capeabl of useing scilencers with the eception of the MP5SD is has a scilencer that it is part of the weapon and can not be removed.

    I for got to add to the list that the M29 "Saber" with a scilencer was added.

    Shte MP5 sniper rifle has a lenghtened barrel and slightly longer stock. it's for close range work. the M4 mod 25 (Sniper rifle Sepcial aplication.) Is for medium range work and the M4 bolt action is for longe range. The 8281 light fifty is for LRHTI.

    Sorry my site is down but I might be buying front page.

    These are pictures from my multiplayer test I conducted over my lan about 4 days ago. They didn't lag to badly (We had lot's of stuff on the map.)

    So any questions comments or things that could be added?

  5. I have but one question.

    If I have made a model of a man that has some special objects attached to him that are nonloded. IE the texture isn't looser on them and such as the degradeing quality on other lod section models. So how can I reduce the vertex and pollyandquality of the showen texture on the model?

    Or do I have to go and make a whole new low resolution model of the man ? Or wil the lods automaticly increasing in number change the quality of the model if I copy paste it?


  6. I tried a to make a small script for OFP to carry people like you can in SEALs but it didn't work to well.

    BTW What happens in multiplayer coops where you get wounded?  rock.gif  Without instant healing multiplayer games would take forever.

    BTW no disember ment or lot's of blood it causes lag and it would mean that OFP1 addons would all need to be redon and requireing a new imput system causeing total incompatibility with OFP 1 addons thier by takeing a way one of the features.

    (Compatible with OFP 1 soldier addons.)

    Dunno about grenades, but there are certainly road flares.

    Also, flashbang grenades would be nice...but I'm not sure if they were around back in the era in which OFP2 was set...

    No flash bangs until the late 70's middle 80's. Why LA's D-platoon (SWAT) was just formed in middle to late 70's and they used gas mos of the time. (CS gas.) Flash bangs are correctly named NFDs and come in all shapes and sizes also the standard flash bang used by most tactical teams is called a NFD (Noise Flash Device) #56. Also they are avaliable with 40mm canesters that have rubber buletts in them they are called Hornet's nests. All of wich didn't really come into wide spread use until late 80's early 90's. Mostly in Vietnam it was smoke (Somtimes cs but mostly the loved was the white red and yellow phosperous grenade smoke.) Some pinaple grenades earlyer in the war, later on it was mostly lemon syle ones. M18 smokes were prety popular ans still are.

    Trip flares are good but base perimeters don't need to be lit all the time because that would tell the enimy all you are doing. Mostly now in place of trip flares thier is a trip device that activates a glow stick that is high intensity and it can be used over and over. (Glowsticks are needed for each use.) Teams of 2 and 4 guards peform a eliptical pattern and check for the triped glowstick traps.


  8. I just had another cool thing happen in OFP. When my brother and I were playing on our LAN this morning my brother was attacking a squad of west troops he shoot a RPG at one of the west soldiers at under 20m and it hit the guy and he just kept running upside down an didn't even get hurt. Shortly after I order the AI driver of my squads URAL to come up and he just decided to drive into a building at full speed. After dammageing the ural a few of my men got out and he backed over them for no reason than he sped up and came strait for me and kept chaseing me. My brother decided a RPG dont the tail pipe of the ural would fix that AI and insted the guy got out of the truck and ran off. MAbe he had a little to much vodca last night. rock.gif


  9. No not really. IF you do attach a seperate M2 to the tank via script though. Than the commander has to get out though. It's on the OFP editing center I think. rock.gif Weird I tried it.

    But no it's not possible to build a tank in OFP1 right now with a commander controlled m2.


  10. Yes it can be de bined BUT the teams that have these  will not send you thier debined models or the tools.

    Also If you use the PBO dycrypter from the OFP.org site or off of cz it's the one with the rainbow color and it's a little window like. You can dycrypt the O.pbo and take the textures from thier. Or you can copy the data.pbo to your desktop and dycrypt it if it's fromthe CWC. V1.45-

    If you sent me a picture of the object you want the texures of I could probably De pbo the textures from the data files  and send them to you. wink_o.gif


  11. Mine would be that one level where James has to blow up some ammo trucks and a base in CWC. I snuck into the town by the ammo trucks and destroyed them than I cralled out of the forrest by the hidden base.For some reason the AI had left a Mi24 and I cralled under it as the patrol wen around it than I ran up and go into it and lifted of and blew the crap out of the hidden base. Destroyed everything. Than an enimy Mi24 started to shoot at my Mi24 and I bailed over the evac zone. (those far on the Mi24 come in handy. wink_o.gif )

    Africa is ok to fight on not many games based on africa. rock.gif

    Water is some thing I personaly want lot's of it mabe one side of a map is all water. Boats we need a few more good boats too. wink_o.gif


  13. Things that must be in OFP2.

    #1 Swimming

    #2 Jumping

    #3 Hand signals. (Use a activation similar to Tribes 2)

    #4 When looking at the map or menu the player will look like that's what he's doing instead of just standing thier.

    #5 Taunts. (Use a activation similar to Tribes 2)

    In case any one is wondering in tribes two you hit the g key and it opens a sub menu than you can still play and have a taunt/ command ready like g/g/a is a taunt that says someting and showes a action with it.


  14. With what I am hearing about it I don't think I will. I am going to wait untill thier is a demo of it out before I make any final judgements./ (By then I will have my new PC and DSL.) If it's all Vietnam than no I probably won't buy it. but IF and that's one BIG if, IF it clears up all the physics and problems with the units and unit iterface I will but it just for the sake of better game play. (IT has to have a oppen addon system and the tools need to be disriputed freely too.)

    If it's only in the seventies I don't think it's worth buying either. What was happening in africa in the seventies?

    Mabe the yomkipour (spelling) war. The Kontras and blah blah blah. All the US was involed in in the seventies in africa was covert ops helping people use stingers to shoot russian aircraft out of the sky. And a few embasy problems but not much more. So OFP2 is a Vietnam game now. What a let down. mad_o.gif Modern Delta Force and NAVY SEALs opperating with high tech eqipment in Sigon in the Hippy Days. rock.gif They had better leave the addon system oppen and send all the tools out with the game when you buy the cd. Vietnam is a good setting it's just not verry modern or easy to adapt modern themes to. crazy_o.gif But who knows mabe they'll change the theme. unclesam.gifbiggrin_o.gif

    And if the terrian is unlimited can we have huge map of Vietnam and parts of Cambodia an Laos? And mabe part of china? Than I would buy it and rate it #1 Vietnam game.

    As for the shooting down and destrying plaers when they leave the mision area that's not exactly a good idea either.


  16. Well No island no buying. I will not pucrchase a game that has these "Walls" I hate them and I find them extremly irritateing.

    I like the big islands better. If we have to have these "Walls" you can forget about flying you'll smash into these walls than what happens ? You would simply keep augering into them and you wouldn't move. We can not loose our islands in my oppinon Islands are better than these miniature worlds.


  17. While playing Jagged Alliance 2, I thought some of its features might be nice to have in OFP2.

    The support for new/more equipement, e.g. different kinds of body armor (FLAK- vs. Kevlar-West, Helmet vs. Caps,...), on-the-fly (at least in the mission briefing) modding of weapons, e.g. attaching scopes, bipods or silencers (if the weapon supports it).

    A kind of Stamina/Endurance feature beyond the short term breathing stuff, e.g. if you marched nonstop twice across the map in 50 hours, you would be tired, slower, less effective.

    A more sophisticated health system. Medics in the field usually just fix you up, so that your status does not become worse. Later you have to see a real Butcher (Doctor), that can cure your wounds. Same applies for damaged vehicles.

    For obvious reasons some of this implies the support for a different campaign system, more like a single loooooong mission, with phases of fighting and phases of recovery, rest and reorganisation.

    Can't think anymore - heading off to the next beer garden...

    Ok would you want this in multiplay?

    LAG and a multiplayer game would take forever this way.

    As for the bipods they have been made already.

    As for the flack vests look at BAS ranges and Delta unit's the have increased amor due to thier vests. This would be a night mare for just about every mod team. Now they would have to make all kinds of BPVs and differnt hats and stuff. It a novel idea but if you like a certian look or want several levels of armor just make your own models with all of these things made the way you wont the. I am just thinking of how hard this would be to patch and how this could possibly foul up some things for addon makers and mods. Though the mechanics would be a good idea a guy that carries a tool box around or a tool back pack and he could fix vehicles.
