How would I place a weapon on the ground so that it just lies there alone without anything next to it, and anyone can pick it up?

I saw this post and it made me think of a couple questions. First, how do I use the DOMOVE command, and how would you make it so that if the hostage takers saw the people trying to save the hostage, they would attempt to kill the hostage?

I think I found out my problem. I'm running v1.46 by the way. I put the vehicle behavior on "careless", instead of "safe" because i didn't think that there was that much of a difference. Well, now I know the difference, and it works no, so thanks for your help guys! -
My problem is that when I try to get a tracked vehicle (mostly APC because most tanks don't do this) to follow a road, i simply put a MOVE waypoint on road where I want it to move. The problem is that it doesn't follow the road and goes across country to get to where I told it to. If I try to put many waypoints on each piece of road where I want it to move, it stops and waits about 5 seconds untill it moves on. How do I make it stay on the road, and still not stop?

This might be impossible, but I figured if it was possible, the people at this forum would know how. I was just wondering if I could get a group of men to act like SWAT guys (like in Rainbow Six). If anyone has found out how reply, please inform me. -
I seem to have this problem when I set waypoints for ground vehicles. I set waypoints the vehicle to move along a road, which I have to set a bunch so it follows the road exactly, (and if there is an easier way let me know), and when it reaches it's next waypoint it stops, waits about five seconds, then continues on. How do i make it so that it doesn't stop and goes to it's next waypoint seamlessly?

When I was a noob and I was just playing around with a squad and some vehicles, I found out the M113 question. The soldier who gives the orders is the soldier with the highest rank. So most of the time, the driver is the commander. Also, keep in mind the M113 is just a troop carrier and the gunner is there just to protect, not to attack, so this could play an important role in who is the commander.

I agree with rufusmac. That sounds like a very dangerous job, and it would be pretty funny to see the looks on the rioters' faces when all of a sudden they have guns in their face. -

I'll be more detailed this time. :-D I want a group of men, probably like 3 or 4 spec ops guys. There will be like 3 or 5 of these groups that in the mission are going to assault a compound. I want them to act and engage like the guys in Rainbow Six, )e.g.: i want them to follow in a closer column then the one that they usually form and i don't want them to go prone.). -

What is CTD? (Might be a dumb question, just thought I'd ask) -
I noticed in the red hammer missions that sometimes resistance fighters, (well all the time in the first mission) are civilians with guns. I've tried giving them guns and shooting a bunch of them, but they act motarded and just stand there or lie on the ground. How do I make it so I can make them fight like regular ground troops?

I tried to do what Red told me to do in the mission editor to get my vehicle to go through the waypoints without stopping, but it didn't work. Anyone out there have a different solution?

I read a post that BIS had released an animation editor. In the post someone mentioned something about using it to make mechs and other walking vehicles. Is anyone currently working on something like that?

I've searched a number of sites and this forum, but I haven't been able to locate a good silenced sniper rifle. If you know where I could get one, please let me know.

Although the link mr. Duck did work, my internet connection right now is really slow, (it's peak hours for my ISP. Yes, unfortunately i am plagued with a dial-up connection) so I'll have to download it another time to see if it works. But, the links nopulse provided helped me find a plane that was pretty much what I was looking for. Thanks guys for your help!
