Hi, I'm having trouble getting the gun sight to work on my armed land rover. I can get the sight to be displayed and it will move left and right with the gun but it does not move up or down with the gun. In the memory lod I have the gunnerview vertex defined to also be part of the OtocHlaven and OtocVez selections and the turret section of the config looks like this: <table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE"> gunnerhasoptics=1; gunnerOpticsModel = "\UKFLRGPMG\km_fnmagoptics.p3d"; class Turret { gunAxis = "OsaHlavne"; turretAxis = "OsaVeze"; soundServo[]={}; gunBeg = "usti hlavne"; gunEnd = "konec hlavne"; minElev=-15; maxElev=+40; minTurn=-60; maxTurn=+60; body = "OtocVez"; gun = "OtocHlaven"; }; I've noticed that the gunnerview vertex doesn't seem to have any effect in game either, when I switch to the gun sights the sights appear but not at the point where the gunnerview vertex is positioned, instead they seem to appear at the same point of view as in the normal 1st person view. Does anyone have any ideas as to what the problem is? I expect it's something simple I've overlooked (it usually is) . Cheers DLM

Ferret. new screenshot at http://ofp.gamezone.cz
DeLiltMon replied to Capitaine Haddock's topic in ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
The Ferret entered service in the 50s and was finally retired in the early 90s. It was originally fitted with a .30cal mg but at some point in it's 40 year service it was replaced with the GPMG. Oberon's original model is fitted with the .30cal so there will be a 30cal version, We just swapped it for the UKF GPMG to create a late service version as well. Swifty, perhaps you should have included the original model in that line up pic. -
Bronco all terrain tracked vehicle
DeLiltMon replied to TakanoFukada's topic in ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
I can't see any other way of animating a track other than Bratty's suggestion of swapping textures to simulate it. -
That Draken looks great I used to have an Airfix model of the Draken, are you planning on doing a version with the long range drop tanks? They always looked like they were a bit too close to the ground to me

It seems to work for the FDF Patria though, unless they've defined it as something else in the config, hmmm.

Even THINK about it, and I'll ram your keyboard so far up your ass, you'll be able to type with your tonsils. And thats a promise I sense much anger in this one   Anyway, back on topic, they look very nice, will be downloading them when I get home from work

A "Pinky"? All loaded up with gear? That would be so nice... It was a topic about British addons no long ago. I did say about the Argentinian "Conflicto de Malvinas Mod". It would be good if we could get our hands on them addons. I meen to edit them, I have them in my HD, and they are not bad at all, but the latest UK choppers released by them could do with a paint job. The problem with all this units is that they are on the "East" side for the editor. So a cuple of changes could be done to them. An update of pre-resistance addons would be nice. Some unit addons are of good quality just needing updated configurations. @CERO. I think WaffenDennis is doing an American RSOV, but have no fear I'm working on Land Rover's for UKF and there will be a fair few of them  I am working on a USA RSOV.... But I started on the british pinky to ( I wont place pictures or release it till i got permission from Delitmon: Cause it's his Landrover 110 model.... Well DeLiltMon has no problem with it as long as you give him credits for model I wasn't aware that you were a mind reader Although you are right in a way, Waffen already has permission to use it provided credit is given, trouble is I think that old beta he is using may look a bit primitive next to the new UKF ones, I binned that model and started from scratch, there's not so much as a single texture from the old model on the new ones.

Personally I like the simulated sub launch idea, after all subs don't need to surface in order to launch Tomahawks.

If it is possible to carry vehicles in the same way as the MH-47 with other vehicle classes then that could open up a whole world of possibilities like vehicle carrying ships and landing craft as well as tank transporters (incorporating the towing script too) and aircraft like C130s As for the hovercraft side of things, the inflation and deflation of the skirt could be done with a rotation animation but actually getting it to travel fast over land and water would be the biggest hurdle.

I never said I wanted you to stop, I just got the impression that you might not be continuing with it as there were a few others in the works including a BAS one. If you are stil planning on releasing it then all I ask is that you give credit for using the model
-
That's based on my old Land Rover 110 beta isn't it? Not that I mind, that model has since been binned and a new one started from scratch. I recognise the blurry fuel cap (which I'd recommend changing if you do decide to continue with it ) and the the gear stick and diff-lock stick and I'm just curious to find out if my eyes are deceiving me or not.

150meg isn't a problem, that's about 8-9 hours worth, I can just leave it on overnight

Great news, I've got my 56k modem nicely warmed up ready for it How big a download is it likely to be i.e how many days am I going to be unable to use the phone whilst it downloads?

Looks very nice, especially the destroyed models

Many reasons, but mainly because I learned an awful lot about 3d modelling making them, the original Land Rover was my first ever attempt at 3d modelling and I thought I could do better. And I built the new one bearing in mind the fact that I had to make different versions from it so I made it as easy as possible to do things like remove the roof etc. I suppose this was the main factor as the amount of remodelling I had to do to make a simple change to it really annoyed me. So in a fit of madness I decided to start again, and I haven't regretted it in the slightest, I think you'll appreciate the difference when they're released. Although I'm glad to hear that the original ones are still in use.

How about JAR to go with JAM, not sure what it could stand for but JAM JAR would go nicely together But seriously though it does sound like a good idea

and I'd suppose you'd know, having nothing what so ever to do with the mod?

Maybe because we've been busy working on the units and vehicles, these things do take time you know and unfortunately we do have jobs to do as well  I don't want to steal the thread but I've dug up the latest pics I could find, a fair bit has been done to both units and vehicles since these were taken: Unit comparison, old model as released in the teaser pack on the left and the new model on the right. [ig]http://www.project-ukf.com/Jonno/images/inf_1.jpg[/img] [im]http://www.project-ukf.com/DeLiltMon/images/beta1_gs110.jpg[/img] [ig]http://www.project-ukf.com/DeLiltMon/images/beta2_gs110.jpg[/img] As I'm working on the Land Rovers, of which there will be more than just the 110GS shown here, I could bore you to tears with the list of what's been changed since these were taken, but I won't, trust me it's a long list  All pics well over 100kb, c'mon you know the rules, next time it'll be a warning box.

Well yet another great addon being made by martin!

Try Brrseb's tutorials, don't have a link to hand sorry I'm in work , they helped me get started using O2. -
Well yet another great addon being made by martin!
DeLiltMon replied to r1c0cH3T's topic in ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
Hmm. It looks like another addon maker who has no idea, what are sharp/smooth edges in O2 good for  I'm sick from good models with "cushion" lighting. Why when somebody spent month of work on modeling and texturing he cant spent another few hours with adding sharp edges at places where it should be?? That's a tad harsh and uncalled for, I'm sure Martin knows exactly what they are for. Remember this is a work in progress, a very impressive work in progress at that, one that I am eagerly awaiting. -

Very nice weapon, I look forward to v1.1 and a version without a scope  Would the Henry rifle you are planning on doing be the Martini-Henry by any chance? *Edit Just found a pic of a Remington with a mounted scope, they've come a long way since then (Taken from this page)
