Actually, the OFP engine has those capabilities. The only downside is that it woulden't look as pretty. Since the game has voice over net, as well as lip sync for talking, it could be done quite well. The only problem would be trying to find good voices. Over the microphone, I have this tendancy to sound more like a 14 year old instead of 17 year old. Another problem would be camera placement. Since Operation Flashpoint is mostly about ranged fighting while Counterstrike is more of a closed quarters simulator, the placement of the camera has to be done well or it turns out badly. Tanks would be great. But I suggest if such a movie was ever done, they should be used by people. Since computer AI has a tendancy to "go wrong" , by giving a command to a real person, it could happen as scripted. All you have to do is find trustworthy people who wont screw up. Since there is a lack of spectator, or if any that I don't know about, support in the game, it would be difficult to keep the camera steady, etc.

But I think I have answer.  You know how in multiplayer when you die you become a seagul?  Well when you fly with the seagul note how it flys.  When you slow down to a stop, you are able to vertically land and when you speed up you fly like a plane.  If someone could find out just how to implement the same idea as the seagul it would work great.<span id='postcolor'> What if they assigned it as a helicopter? That might work. But then again, Im ignorant when it comes to such things.

The bayonet I could see. But a knife would be just useless and rarely used in the game. Anyways, its bad enough some players on the internet shoot their own team mates. Now you want them to knife them?

Several questions
DracoPaladore replied to DracoPaladore's topic in OFP : MISSION EDITING & SCRIPTING
I have been listening to them, but I wanted input from the players. -
1. How do I make it so when one or several targets are destroyed, the mission ends? This is a must in my mission I am making. 2. If objective is not acheived, is there a way to make it so it switches to another? 3. How do I make it make checkmarks and such in objective listings? I think there is a thread already for that. 4. Is there any tutorials on intro and outro's? If not, could someone explain to me how I can do this? 5. What is the best song to play? I have one set up when the player reaches a certain area, but I don't know which one is the best. If someone could suggest their favorite, Ill try that out.

Thanks alot. Thats a great help. But whats your favorite OFP song? -
I think they should work on the piloting AI still. Several times, even in very wide ofrmations or obvious manuevers, they always collide. Friendly, or not. Especially planes.

In need of somalians!
DracoPaladore replied to 160th(SOAR)LoNeWoLF's topic in ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
Well. I dunno. The best I can pull off my mind is a small addon that gives the resistance something called UCE or something like that. Say it at Operationflashpoint.cz under units in the addons section. -

*Sniff* I can smell the prejudices from a mile away. -
I've been working on a mission for OpFor involving a rouge group of resistance fighters(vs NATO) steals a confinscated SCUD(from the Russians) from them and attempt to bomb something. As to that something, I havnt decided yet. But I have been messing with orders and waypoints and what not. Now, how do I get the SCUD to do something? I know that it fires, but noting ever happens when it does so. IT just launches into the air and all you can really say is: Bye bye polygon! Be gone into the blew sky! IS there anyway to make this object detonable or able to target key points on a map? If so, what kind of damage does it do?

So far the only ones I really beleive from that list is the German officer, the Korean, the Swedish, and the Israeli.

Now what we need is for them to issue the correct colour schema for the theater of operations. Â It was painfully embarassing to see a picture from Afghanistan with the Canadian soldier carrying our colours wearing green camo BDU's. It's all well and good to have high tech camoflage...but only if it's in the right places at the right time. Hey Assault, can us civies buy CADPAT through surplus/sporting good stores? I am planning on hunting again next fall and this stuff looks really killer.<span id='postcolor'> Here was one great thing about the Canadian Greens in Afghanistan: They were great for night visions as they give off little heat and are hard to see in the dark.

Arggg, the pain! Ok! OK! Just one of those times I should have just put "Okie doky" instead. As for the topic, I think I saw one in the units/addons folder at http://ofp.gamezone.cz/

Well, my point does have some relevance if you think about it. If the player wants to play to a degree of realism, some militaries don't allow females in the service.

Morita SmartRifle (MK1) The standard weapon of the Mobile Infantry, a shoulder fired, fully automatic, projectile firing weapon. It uses a variety of ammunition including 7.62 mm High Explosive, Armor Penetrating, Training, and a collection of classified varieties. Uses power magazines for high capacity of ammunition including, rapid discharging, projectiles containing XC14 explosive warheads and other ammo types. (Thats the one most of the soldiers use!<span id='postcolor'> I enjoyed that movie. Might be a no brainer entertainer, but it was helluva fun at the outpost. My only problem with the movie was the killing. Humans were weak as hell. But I dont blame them when something twice as high as them are chewing on them like chew toys. One thing I dont get is: One minute, the bugs are dying just as the troops. Another, it takes like minutes or a whole squad to take another down! I think the movie was just lacking actual military intellegence and story from the book and suffered from a little lack of maturity. As for the thing in OpFlash. Personally, I get a huge disappointment when I see a super weapon in Opflash. When I play the game, I love it on true realism. I even have my father tell me how to supply and make sure my base is un breakable so that way I can try to get in it. I dont think it would fit. Anyways, have Morita rifle something vs a russian AK? With that armor? Wouldn't be very fair. I think creating a bug from the movie would be difficult with the Opflash code.
