Last I heard it's based in the Doom universe but not following the events of the game. In my opinion its a good idea since you wont piss off the fans for getting the storyline wrong. They already got the basic idea of doom lost. Mutated zombies and a super special force. Can anyone say: "Resident evil"? It's a rip off with the Doom name and franchise slapped on it.

I don't get it with Online petitions. In fact, I wish that website was never created. Now every fanboy for any game, movie, or original idea thinks he speaks for the entire community in his little mind and then makes a peition. BANG, petition. BANG, petition. "I petition Relic to release patch!", "I petition ID to help with DOOM!", "I petition FOX to release a source code for AVP, a game they gave up two years ago!". The only remotly interesting thing in this movie is that it's done by the guy who did Species, Leathal Weapon 4, The Devils Advocate, and a couple more. I'm not saying he's a great, good, direction. No more work coming from Anderson in the future for directing, but he's written another RE movie. I enjoyed, actually, all of his movies (never saw shopping tho). Never said they were great. All of them would probobly get a 4.5-5 on my scale. That's the most, though. But Bollocks just sucks. I saw the AITD trailer and had no idea for a long time that it was from the game. Really. I had no clue. All I can say is that this industry is going in the toilet. It looks like 2005 is the year Hollywood picked to destroy the game-movie franchise by hiring these hacks for directing them. They're all bad, and none of them produced anything breaking. But they hire them anyways. I simply cannot follow this logic. Wouldn't you hire a good director? Wouldn't a good or superb director rake in MORE money if the movie was actually well done? But now it's a true sign as to where the American entertainment industry is going. Yes, down the toilet. The past few years have been filled with these cookie-cutter comedie and love movies, and it's a complete disgrace of all film industry. Especially with the use of singers such as Beyonce or some other failing 'star' in order to draw in any audience, let alone screech at a high pitched volume stupidly at the famed Oscars! Oh no! Nameless comedic boy cannot get date! Woah! Original thought! Miss Congeniality 2! Wow! I'm sure that's the best idear evar! What a disgrace. Its no wonder theatres are losing money. They overcharge tickets to have people watch movies with no value. They rise higher and higher in prices only because no one wants to watch any of this crap-infested stupid movies. There are only a few that even remotely look good this year. But I'm not holding my breath or have any hopes, because it is simply stupid these days to have any. The use of hack directors and big name stars ruin the movie you expected to be great, only to find out they used the only presentable shots in the trailer. Not to mention these movies have nothing to do with the content they are basing it off of. Alone in the dark had martial arts and gun fights, despite the games being a horror series. Watch the trailers. Don't bother with the movies. Much more entertaining. It's just...stupid.

Just a side note: Canadian soldiers in the battle of Ortonoa used their Anti-Tank rifles to punch through walls of buildings in order to advance from one structure to another without going in the street. Usually top floor to catch Germans off guard and prevent grenade casualties. Just a quooosten: What's the difference between an AFV and an IFV?

I created a short mission on Dek Seang using eight squads of JJR Vietnam soldiers, and one squad of VC(me). Mission was pretty simple, stop two of those squads from travelling up the road and reiforce the village, stop four coming from the opposite direction, and then clearing out the village some distance ahead. But I hadn't realise that I screwed up the waypoint synchronization with trigger and ended up having eight squads of really mad JJR soldiers running at me. What happened is taht those in the village were set on SAFE and Guard, while the others on a simple move command. I guess those two remaining squads in the village heard the commotion I had with the first two squads and started moving in my direction. So when I was beginning to work on the four squads heading in my direction, another two appeared out of nowhere on my left and started opening up! I lost four guys from the withering gun fire, and I only had six remaining! I put up a good defense. The four squads I had to take out with the help of my machine gunner. We had killed about four of the first squad when a grenade smashed my medic and RPG. But what was left of that squad we were firing at were taken out by a well thrown grenade from my second. Another five were killed by another grenade, this time from my fifth. But the two surprise squads had cut both of them down in a crossfire from the bushes. My position was beginning to look rather weak. So, in the end, it was just me and my machinegunner. We both were able to finish off two squads from a good hill top position. About twenty dead after a moment. They really began to open up at that point, grenades and machine guns smashing the area around me. My MG was taken out by a pistol bullet from an officer that ran up next to him and fired, while I was busy reloading. Thankfully he was killed by an enemy grenade. But before I could put in the fresh clip another officer ran up to me and jammed the pistol right under my coolie and opened up. By by brain
