Well this aint the game you was talking about but it is a Lego inspired one called Block Land Its multiplayer, you join a server with a few people in and just build things. I havnt fully played it yet but from what ive seen its pretty fun. Some server admins and change the weapons to deadly so you can build some castles then fight. Pretty fun!

Hey guys, well iv been busy for the last few days fiddling around with WrpTool and i am in the process of making a island inspired by Evil Clown's waste land island, Mad Max films, And Fallout series of RPG games. I would release a small alpha, beta what ever (never been good with technicle terms ) but my island making skills are still weak and there appaers to be a proplem, most likely with the config. it starts up and i can get it in game no proplem, but when exiting from the Mission editor with this island loaded causes OFP to crash back to desktop. Although i will realease it as it is if theres enough demand and i am looking for a bit of help from some one just to look over my map and sort out what the proplem is? any way the island is a Post Nuclear Apocalypitic wasteland with many shanty towns and make shift fortresses made out of mainly scrap mettal and materials. Long winding roads and wide open spaces are plentyful and many ruin towns, villiages scatterd around to keep you exploring. The island has a almost square shape to it with a huge mountain rang running diagnoly through the middle of the intire island with a smooth flat bit in the centre of the mountian range to allow access to iver side of the island. the rest of the island is mainly smooth bumps and humps. Hey guys, I havnt made any new progress on the island as yet, been extreamly busy over this weekend. Mr.w0lle has fixed the proplem with the CTD so i might release a early beta soon. -
ova at ofp.gamezone.cz i spoted on tha news a fallout/mad max type truck so i was woundering if there is or if any one is making any more addons/mods of post nuclear war stuff

Marco Benz Armored 5t Truck You mean this one,the 6th one down the list. I shall be releasing an early beta soon. Kind w0lle has offerd to take a look at my CTD proplem and i have sent him the files. Thanks w0lle! Hopfully if i or w0lle manage to fix it i will release what i have so far. im 3 quaters away through a new town to the north of the island at the moment, it has a large fort in the center and extending to the south onto a cross roads leading to town. around the fort there are shanty towns and ruins. in center of the fort is a large (compard to all the shanty huts) building surrounded by a small wall and scafolding. Im imagening mission makers useing this as the towns mayors house or what have you -

If you keep getting CTDs try removing the Grid class, afaik you don't need them at all on a 25km island. Not very sure at all tho but I never used it on my islands and they're all working. The Cutscenes line looks ok for me, I don't think that's the problem. hmm now my island dosent show up in the island selection screen in mission editor at all now Thanks guys for the positive feed back and suggestions and thanks for the offer of texture help wipman but at the moment im trying to keep the island simple (for my sake) and adding more textures will be more confusing for me after the first release of this island i will concentrate more on textures in the next version, as it is at the moment texturing ground with lots of different textures and making it look natural has got me stumped. Ill be looking over the manual later after towns and forts are placed. -
Hey guys, Heres a demo of my new mission! At the moment theres no intructions or breifing so ill tell you them (how kind of me ) You start off in your base. the middle building of the 3 barrack looking buildings is where you buy troops. the tent is where you buy weapons and ammo. and thats it for now will be adding few more stuff later. now idea is that you must protect the 3 towns, la trinite, saint louise, and larche from zombie invasion. You will be informed when one is attack, quikly load your men into your chopper and fly them there. Try and protect all the civilians in that town. If all the civillians should die then your funding will be cut by 5000. You'lll recieve 15000 every day inless of course one of the towns civillian population is wiped out. and thats it at the moment. later versions ill add reasearch,special missions, and vehicle shed. Nope just the normal windows warning 'im sorry but OFP has encounter a proplem would u like to send a report etc..' Nice mod i just downloaded it i use to try make my own mock musket battles useing a few resistance hunters, this is ten times better though! Gives me an idea for a new mod! Zulu!! -
isnt that tabrium a bit big? i always thought it was a little bit smaller compared to the size of a normal guy. like about the size of a football or somthing. also will the tibweium cuase dammage to soldiers then make them burst into flames?

West + east = friends script..any ?

let me explain more the trick just mention. If you dont want to use create unit you can just place a, for example, west soldier. set his propabilty precence (one of the sliders at the buttom of the place unit menu thingy) to 0. then place down your east soldiers and group them to the west soldier. making sure the west soldier is the group leader. Now when you start the mission the west guy is not there and the east guys are now 'friendly' to west forces, but in reality there actully class as West. so if there is any east soldiers that where not grouped to a west leader they will reconise these east troops that are friend to west guys as enemys and other way round. -
Hmm i think a perfect zombie map would be enclosed tight spaces? Any way, yea i noticed a few ares of land that where white, with no textures. Ideas for more islands? hmm how about a nice medium - small sized island with a good few cramp and enclosed towns, also with a good few mountain and other natural choke points. perfect for a zombie mission or CQB missions? I was thinking of making my own island, but couldnt find any decent tutorials that told me how to rais and lower land i know how to texture, and i tired raising the landscape but when i go to veiw it its just water and a big square hole in the middle where my land should be im using wrpedit btw.

hmm dynamic mission? im thinking, multiplayer, 5-10 people, all start off in different locations, different locations produce different recourses (food, building material, oil) players need all of these to survive, build things like vehicles, defences and weapons, and oil for fule. players have the option to either fight amongst each other or unite with each other. and how about some random AI bandit attacks thrown in for good messure. Sounds good Might make a mission like this, when i find some time. Just downloaded the latest update, very good

lol thanks for the help but i already know how to get them to attack, my question was how to make the 'spawn logic' in release candidate 4 to work. as in spawning zombies when you put the logics of how many x meters away the player has to be before it spawns etc... -
Well thats the point you have to manage your group of 12. and cart them around from town to town. other wise you'll just get bored if you got enogh men to defend all the towns at the same time. Also once i implement the Deployble MG research you can deploy 1 or 2 of these in each town and man them with few your troops, giving you an effective defence in all towns. but the ammo on these m2's only being 500 you'll have to keep them pretty well supplied. And tanks, even without fule would still be quite powerful against the zombies, and i can only spawn certain amount of zombies at a time or other wise it will lag like hell. (already dose a bit) but ill think about adding M113's. also i think ill increase the time between attacks, because iv noticed that you never really seem to have enough time to defend one town, check it for any zombies left, go back to base, rearm, and get to the next town. When im playing at least i just end up going solo with 9 clips (which run out pretty fast ). Yes, ill download them and use them in the next version. And if your woundering why im useing Crew soldiers, well its because they look kinda like there wearing body armour and got a plain non camo clothes. So they look like sort of special agents for the zombie defence team. If you catch my drift. Cheers for the replys

Ok downloaded releas candiate 4 (yay ) but i cant get the spawning game logic to work my scripting is still a bit rusty but i think im gettin the gblallgroup array wrong. what esactly do i put init? group names? name of 1 idevisual to be group leader? or am i way off? -

Also I think it be a good idea to put an example mission up on the site so you dont get so many questions and people having proplems just a simple desert island, 2 groups of soldiers,few groups zombies and all the game logics needed. Also what dose the diffculty setting "romeo univers" do? seems the same as easy or medium. And i cant get the spawn working but i supose thas a question for mission and editing topic.
