    Nogova Virus Escape

    yea it laged to high heaven though! and that was with just the 3 player max limit. Although iv got a little somthing thats pretty much in playble form that involves zombies, 5 players, and set on mapfact nogova with lots of little features and such. Never been released since i could never get any one to host it to test the damn thing out before i finished all the optional missions off. Ah well, going a bit OT now. So just to stay slightly on topic... Cant d/l on rapidshare...

    Also come to think of it, itd be pretty easy for you to make your own chopper with harden armour values and possibly higher vaul consumptions (since i remember in at least on of the strikes you would have to go and refule now and again) by simply unpbo'ing an apache addon of your choice, changing the values in the config, and then pbo'ing it back up. Of course if you wanted to release the mission id advise on asking the addons makers permission to release the modified apache.

    so im guessing you guys are looking at destroyble building animations like we've seen with the bridge in one armed assualt video? If it was an animation, it could of been dynamice destruction. I dont belive any info on it has been revealed beyond a video clip.

    Ah reminds me of the old days when i sluged away trying to make (one of the first i belive) zombie scripts for normal OFP civies for my MP Skye Virus mission that predated the Nogova Virus missions. (i didnt make the Nog Virus ones btw) Thats the only reason i even botherd to learn how to script in OFP so i could make my own zombies Then of course the zombie mod came along and such. Any way, ill be sure to give this one a try when i get some time.

    The War of the Worlds?

    Hey people, I was just sitting here thinking how erm.. intresting having these things in OFP would be Im sure a few people here have read the book? (i havent but got a genral idea what its about) Plus i hear theres an upcoming steven speilburg film of war of the worlds. Im thinking a CTI game Humans Vs martians would be pretty damn cool, watching these machines of death marching across the horizon. Theres a few alternative designs that can be found by a quik search through google if you dont like the classic 'retro' alien machine. Heres a few cool ones Any way this will most propely just stay as a pipe dream, I would attempt to model one my self but last time i tried my hand at o2 i could barely get my head around making a box with the help of sevral Tutorials Well hope i aint the only crazy fool who would like to see these babys in action. Ps. I have the RTS game of war of the worlds that have sevral models of different alien machines if any one wanted me to take a couple of shots of them for refrence. Edit: Darn forgot the 'S' in worlds on the titile.

    Great stuff, And glad to hear your coming back for armed assault. Hopfully Arma will give you guys a better opertunity to more finely tune your work with new scripting possiblities and better support for vehicle animations (for the big mechs) then you currently have in OFP. Im sure we'll see some top quality sutff from you all! Good luck guys

    Quoted for truth. Seriously, im sick of every time i click on the threads in this section of the forum i always find another 5 page discussion on a minor inperfection that what already discussed to death in the same thread 30 pages previously. Its turns into a big circle of disussion going over the same things over and over intill i new screen or video is release and people start to pick out every little thing wrong 'omg that soldierz left hand little fingers nail is pointing 1.5 degrees teh wrong way!1 this game sux i refuse to buy it and even encourage people to play BF2 instead!!111' Seriously Arma going to be a huge improvement over OFP in its current form at 75% complete. Most major issues from OFP id presume have been iron out or improved upon. Most of us here have and still do put up with the minor imperfections of OFP to this day and STILL get the most enjoyble experience of any game out there to be released in the last 5 years. Now give me the same game, with better graphics, bigger and more guns,vehciles, islands, built in CTI, more possiblilties open up for mission making due to character switiching and other improvments, MP JIP, and numerous other improvements and im sure as hell not going to let the fact that the soldiers seem to float .5 of a centermeter of the ground of you look REALLY closey going to put me of buying this game and get another 5+ years of enjoyment out of it. /rant Edit: Also: Nuff' said.

    Wrptool is what people make islands with i belive (or am i getting confused with wrpedit?) and the wrptool development team, i would presume, are the guys who developed it.

    yep, if do a search in the addon section youll find these islands. its called somthing like ACE islands, im not entirely sure. But yes there all as big as the stand alone islands. This looks pretty intresting but i can imagine it needing a lot of players and time to play. Maybe a possible candidate for 'the longest game' thread on this board Edit: Found a Link at OFP.info, not sure if any newer versions have been released.

    Like many have stated theres a lot of bugs in this (which i was expecting being a beta) Non of the space marines work(as in i when i place them in the editor and start the mission i get errors and mission wont start), and quiet a few vehicles and other things cause me to crash back to desktop when placing in the editor and pressing the start button. Aprat from these few teething proplem its shaping up to be a great mod.

    Starcraft CTI

    well i just reinstalled starcraft again lately. Been having some fun playing random people on MP. I think maybe just to start off a small ammout of addons could be made to get the ball rolling? Im thinking maybe just Terran marines, some little melee zerglings (useing the JP mod dino scripts and animation with permission) and maybe just a terran bunker. Then wip up a small MP coop mission where human players are terrans and must hold of a swarm of zergs for X ammount of time

    Not bad! not bad at all what are the dammage vaules going to be like? will it be able to destroy a car in few shots or one? Maybe (if you get help on the scripting front) it could set infantry units on fire (with maybe a green fire?) with one shot. maybe you could retexture an civilian model into a chard burnt body too so when the said victem dies you could deletevehicle the unit and spawn a setdammage1 burnt body. Just some ideas... Keep it up!

    well its pretty much playble in its current form (since i did release about a year back) its just it could use a few more tweaks and additions. If you make a search in the User Mission section for it youll most properly find the old topic. I belive a few people made mirriors for download. Lately i still cant find time to make any more addtions to it because of college and just srtarting a new job.

    Sounds great any plans for misc items and objects too? maybe a soldier with power armour (mrk1 & 2) or some rusty old corrigated iron houses and walls ect.. good luck with it

    Longest game online?

    As it stands theres only 9 small and simple scripts mainly for unit spawn and random patroll. The other units on the map are the convoys and a few tanks and choppers on gaurd waypoints, and convoys on sentury waypoints. so when you attack a convoy, with out any fancy cpu heavy scripting, the nearest group of tanks or choppers will come to aid the convoy The only addiont im considering is adding a port where convoys and tanks will spawn once there former counter parts are destroyed, and return to there gaurd posistions/looping waypoints. This port will be heavly defended and players must destroy it stop things like tanks and more convoys spawning. So itll take some time for players to gather enough resources and weapons to attack the port before they can start liberating the island (since any thing they destroy prevoiusly is replaced at the port and sent back to the location)
