Try to use Steam to verify your game data; it should be one of the options in its application :)

DnA replied to tenskytarou's topic in TAKE ON HELICOPTERS : MISSIONS - Editing & Scripting
The command you're looking for is createVehicle. I don't have the class name for the crates handy, but it will allow you to spawn dynamic crates. -

DnA replied to kaspern83's topic in TAKE ON HELICOPTERS - TROUBLESHOOTING
If these are truly drivers issues, there's not much we can do from our side :( If you can try to rollback to confirm, it would help to isolate the issue to the drivers. -

You should not have to get in as copilot and take over controls. We'll have a look to see if it happens to us as well. -

Take On Patch 1.03, "Bainbridge"
DnA replied to royaltyinexile's topic in TAKE ON HELICOPTERS - NEWS
The OP has been updated with a hotfix for the Windows Dedicated Server crash. You only need this hotfix if you want to host a Dedicated Server, not if you're just playing the game. Steam will hopefully get updated with the hotfix soon. -

TKOH Patch 1.03 - Release Candidate
DnA replied to DnA's topic in TAKE ON HELICOPTERS - BETA PATCH TESTING
Thanks for your testing. It seems this RC has survived through to the final release of patch 1.03 :xmas_o: -
Updated the OP with the release of the final 1.03 patch.

They are volumetric and you can fly through and over them. Certain weather settings may have a really, really high and tall cloud layer though. These settings can be played around with using script commands we have yet to document (they start with simul) :)

HUD guages without the flight vector?
DnA replied to JesseDavis's topic in TAKE ON HELICOPTERS - QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
Currently you can only turn off the entire 2D indicator layer (RCtrl + H). We are considering allowing a toggle of the movement vector for a future patch. In the meantime the only other option is a UI mod / add-on (not possible in the demo). -
As many as you care to write in your Java code But now you'll be able to debug them properly in an IDE (breakpoints, much :p)
-
Updated the OP and roadmap again, with the patch 1.03 RC and initial info on the scripting upgrade (which was pushed to the next patch).
-
Cool stuff Thromp! Once you are happy with the gameplay, you could also consider making this into a suite of scripted waypoints. That way people using your add-on can quickly make their own fire fighting scenarios. Not sure these waypoints are documented yet though

Constant Crash To Desktop after 5 Minutes
DnA replied to meach's topic in TAKE ON HELICOPTERS - TROUBLESHOOTING
Hi there, thanks for your elaborate report! You should be able to run the game fine at those specs, so let's see what else can be going on. First to get an obvious candidate out of the way: you are using the latest HW drivers? Secondly: we are soon releasing Patch 1.03, which includes both stability fixes, and also the option to try different memory allocators as advanced option. A Release Candidate for this patch has been released, but carefully read the warning please. Sidenote: I believe there are some posts in the A2 / OA forums explaining why task manager profiling of cores is not an accurate method of determining the game is utilizing multi-core effectively.
