  1. A very Merry Xmas and a premature Happy New Year to everyone! :xmas_o: We fully realize our December update was on the light side. We do all want to update you on our plans, but need a little more patience, given all that's still going on. 2012 was a year of massive highs and deep lows. We look forward to celebrating many releases in 2013, most of all Martin and Ivan's when they are finally allowed to return to their homes. :jail:
  2. Please let us know if it is. In that case, you could also try disabling / uninstalling Rearmed, so we know where to look. Thanks :)
  3. Unfortunately I believe the version mismatch between the demo and current full version is too big. We investigated compatibility with the full version while developing the demo, but the technical issues were not feasible to overcome.
  4. These modules are probably merged in since Rearmed, and they were mostly developed for A2 / OA. The environments made for TKOH are different in a number of ways, which may prevent the modules from working there well enough.
  5. Hi, it sounds like for some reason your helicopters are experiencing significant stress damage (can be disabled in the options if it's too frustrating). When you say it happens already at the ground, is this in the campaign and have you performed maintenance to repair them? Are you using a joystick and is it calibrated well?
  6. Even if the license would cover it, making use of external libraries is not a matter of just incorporating them into the project. Connecting all of the components to our own engine would take a lot of work, as it has for RotorLib. Once all of that is done, developing the flight model configurations is very time-consuming as well. We currently do not have an active project that seeks to integrate it.
  7. Just to confirm, yes, we only incorporate the RotorLib libraries :)
  8. Beta patch rev. 97057 released (1.05 / 1.06 required!) Changelog: This beta patch is fully aimed at solving the failed registration issue.
  9. To clarify for others reading this until it gets closed, the hotfix fixes this: http://takeonthegame.com/game-updates/ :)
  10. I usually go full speed forward and up at the moment where you bank right (in front of the smaller scraper, after the lowest CP attached to the scraper). This will elevate me to about 10 meters above the scraper and using the momentum I can make a turn towards the 2nd scraper CP without burning too much speed. This needs a video to explain properly :)
  11. Haha, brilliant! Your approach to the dance with the skyscraper is still different to how I designed it, but your turn also does not burn off a lot of speed :) #derbySieged
  12. Amazing work on that video Binary Orchestra! Myself and many on the team feel proud seeing you and others in the community put our work to such good and creative use. I look forward to more :)
  13. You could also try to default the Interface Layout in the Game Options menu :)
  14. Hi, this looks like the data got corrupted somehow. Are you running the Steam version? In that case you can verify the game cache and let it repair the data.

    Take On Patches!

OP updated to reflect release of a hotfix to Downtown.
  16. Hi all, We hope you’ve been having fun with taking on helicopters! We’ve enjoyed reading your feedback and are hard-at-work going through the posts here and on the Community Issue Tracker (CIT). We’d like to provide a quick update on the plan to continue our tradition of supporting games post-release: Patch 1 (1.02 - Alki) Released 04-11-2011 To be released as soon™ as we’re satifsied with our internal testing and are able to distribute it (development on this patch is already closed). It provides some cool tweaks to various systems, but focuses chiefly upon tuning the Career, its finances and some of the contracts. Patch 2 (1.03 - Bainbridge) Released 20-12-2011 The major flight model tweaks have been pushed to Patch 3, because they are rather advanced and we need to time to do them properly (in cooperation with our partners). Instead, Patch 2 will have a lot more miscellaneous fixes to all areas of the game. Significant improvements include reduced Ground Effect strength, a PiP quality option, Heliport character animations and a benchmark tool. Patch 3 (1.04 - Cougar) Released 06-03-2012 A larger update in which we aim to do tweaks to the flight model, based on feedback and close cooperation with RTDynamics. These changes are not trivial and affect all gameplay, so we need to make sure it does not do more harm than good. We also intend to roll out a major upgrade to our scripting technology, which many of you will love, and which will provide another glimpse into the technology for A3. Hinds Compatibility Pack (1.05) Released 15-03-2012 A pack to add new functionality required for Take On Hinds, as well as some fixes and additions to the main game. Patch 4 (1.06 - Downtown) Released 13-09-2012 Hotfix released 24-09-2012 to address MP registration issue Next to further fixes and additions, its main focus will be automatic merging with Arma products. Stay tuned for more on this next big patch. Hinds Patch 1 Patch 5 Beta patches Started 30-01-2012 Keep playing, keep posting and cya in the air!
  17. The hotfix and re-mastered patch versions have been released. If you are playing the Steam version: stop reading this thread and continue flying ;) If you had already applied Downtown: apply the hotfix only. If you had not yet applied Downtown: select the lite or full patch installer. You do not also need to apply the hotfix in this case. :icon_exclaim: You do not need to apply the hotfix or re-install the patch for the Steam version!
  18. This is looking great; as a Dutchman I have to proclaim my support for this mod. Keep up the good work :)
  19. You will be able to either re-install the re-mastered patch, or download only the little hot-fix patch and apply it. No re-install necessary if all goes well :)
  20. Yes, since DRM was removed in one of the earlier patches, the only active online elements are the main menu newsfeed and multiplayer itself. That also means that if you don't need these, and block the executable in your firewall, the game should still function.
  21. We are also preparing to release the fix for non-Steam versions. Likely course of events: beta patch, followed by a small hot-fix and re-mastered full versions of Downtown patch.
  22. If you all keep solving the problems you find, we will not have anything to do! ;) JK Glad you have it working now.
  23. Glad you found a way to get it working. I've added this note to the Community WiKi.
  24. Apologies for the troubles everyone. I've passed it on to the store support team to look at as soon as possible.
