    We are exploring the options for Dedicated Server packages for the game in general right now. At Alpha launch there is no separate package; you will only be able to -server command-line it. No Linux DS at Alpha launch either.

    It means the ability is there, as much as it is for A2 and OA. We will not be ready to deliver a full SDK with updated tools at the start of Alpha I'm afraid. A lot of knowledge from OA is applicable, some is not. We'll try to deliver documentation during Alpha and Beta, and of course with the release as best we can. The rest will be up to your creativity.

    Approximately 7GB - our minimum requirements are higher to allow for extra content later, and some space for your OS to run healthily.

    As is mentioned on the website, this only applies to the first 500. You will be given access to a separate website where you can leave your name for the end credits.

    Correct, the regular version goes out first on the 5th. The people getting it then will get their invites added to their Steam account on the 14th (to share with friends).

    Hi, so there is no error message about CRC corruption for example? Is this a DVD version bought at retail? Note that sometimes the progress bar is already filled (:o), but it's still installing. I guess you've waited a fair while though.
  10. We see a long potential life for TKOH, even if currently we don't have the resources to actively develop for it. We do have some plans, and would like to return to it when we can.

    updated samples package?

    Hi there! Since we mentioned that intention, we unfortunately went through quite an extraordinary time (e.g. due to the Greece situation). This has put a large strain on our resources, and we've had to prioritize other things. I'd like to try to still get this updated, but I can't get you a good time estimate right now unfortunately.
  12. Hi, there is a way to skip missions using a cheat, but you of course should not have to. Can you try to do another contract first? E.g. a training lesson? Maybe this would restore your heliport status.

I realize it may not be the news you were hoping for, and there are not many details as of yet.   15. I'd probably use a combination of scripting commands like boundingBox and selectionPosition, to detect the 3D position of the bucket is inside the bounding box of the dam.
  16. Yes, technically the game allows you to fully mod the audio configuration and source samples. But the sound engine is getting quite complex and needs a fair bit of tuning to get it sounding right for the various components, RPMs, etc. Replacing samples could get you somewhere, but it may not be good enough.
  17. What is the dam technically? An object, or 'fake' water surface on terrain, or something else? That will determine how you can detect it.
  18. Hi, if it's the volume, it would be more feasible to create a configuration mod and lower the volume there. Our community WiKi is a starting point for documentation, but another community member might be able to help you out with a mod template quicker.
  19. Hi, I'm afraid there is no native support in TKOH, so only if your graphics card has general support it might work (there are known issues even then).
  20. Make a copy as back-up and try :) If that does not work, you could try finding manually the controls lists and copying over those.
  21. Ah, now I understand the confusion. The Hinds you do see were merged in via Rearmed from Operation Arrowhead, so they are not Take On Hinds' Hinds :confused2: Hinds is a separate installer, so not sure why it's not presented to you in Steam. If it was installed you could check the Expansions menu to make sure it's enabled, but it sounds like the problem is a lack of installation.
  22. Hi, do you still have your profile from the demo available in your My Docs folders? Perhaps you can use it from there with some manual tweaks.
  23. Check all the sides and factions, the SuperHind isn't OPFOR AFAIK.
