It sure does look like a whole new game, maybe that's why we haven't seen so much new stuff in the upgrades.

...or can I really here my enemys footsteps clearly at a distance of roughly 200m. Example, I sit in bush in ambush and sees these guys on the horizon about 300m out. As they close in on me I begin to hear this faint *tap* *tap* *tap* *tap* *tap* *tap* *tap* *tap* *tap* *tap* *tap* *tap* *tap* *tap* *tap* It's really annoying since they doesn't seem to be proccessed through EAX, thus I can't hear from what direction it comes from. It's pretty annoying when in the middle of enemy territory because of the *tap* *tap* *tap* all around you and you don't know where there **** it's coming from. *tap* *tap* *tap* *tap* *tap* *tap* *tap* *tap* *tap* *tap* /me goes insane

If there are any Myth players in here, they might already be familiar with the term. Those that are not are suggested to read this. The goal is simple, play any or all missions on veteran WITHOUT losing a single squadmate (for squad missions only, allies outside your own squad is not under this requirement) and archiving AT LEAST 3 gold stars. Do you have the guts for that? Currently I'm playing the Red Hammer under these rules, it's hard, but I have made it to mission 8 so far. For proving your accomplishment, take a screenshot of the debriefing screen showing the last page of the statistics and the score for the mission.

Just in case: Be sure to join servers with as low ping as possible. Many server-admins and hosts dislike HPBs (High Ping Bastards) because their high ping impacts the rest of the players, making effective teamwork hard (IE: HPB occupies a tank, all players in the tank gets lagged (lagged = game run very choppy, thus bad) generally making it impossible to do anything good. If you can't find any low-ping servers, use the All-Seeing Eye to find dedicated ones, they are usually better.

So you are basicly saying that a tank is "hidden" if it's engine is off, does the AI fall for the trick or do they just fire at will. (I imagine placing a tank somewhere and turn it's engine off, then wait until someone comes by)

I haven't seen the movie and I don't need to to say my fav character, the Ents (from the twin towers book).

Use the "ascend" and "decent" actions for choppers, they should work (works fine for me)

Registred version is not required... Have you tried waiting a bit. If the other players are running on slow comps or the ping is bad, it may take a while for them to get connected to the actual game. Either that or some other obscure bug or issue with your server. Either way it can't be GSA.

bad servers or your connection is screwed. Believe me, I got ADSL too and I'm lucky to find good servers with a ping under 200. Too bad that they are empty most of the time.

I bought the Gold edition (OFP and RH together) here in Denmark and got the Apache, I would like that they made it an options if you want the apache or the cobra. It just doesn't feel right flying an apache when your buddy is taking off in a cobra.

You are not alone much of the time, but in Red Hammer there's much more emphasis on yourself, the turnout of the mission often depends on your actions alone, or the action you order others to carry out. In fact there's only about 1Ë missions where you are in the recieving end of the command chain. This is not to say the RH is bad, it really is great. But you can't just follow the other peeps around and support them this time, you are the one that everyone is following this time.

Work together with your team and don't waste vehicles, it's annoying when someone takes off in a vehicle alone only to either get killed or crash without a reason when he don't need it anymore.

Try Mission editing

You can download a multi-save utility from Avon's faq right here: Multi-save Utility It basicly renames the savefile when you press your pause/break button and keeps it as a backup, you can then save again. It even keeps track of your backups (as long as you don't delete them) and offers a quick way to restore them.

Maybe we could pinpoint the exact location by calculating the stars positions, everyone knows how detailed the sky is (just look at the "escape from prison" mission)

If your squad keeps getting killed, then consider training a little more, I for once managed to beat the Pathfinder mission with only 2 casulties (sustained in the first village). Expect to do things yourself a lot even when your squad is still alive, the AI isn't competent enough to keep themselves alive so it your job to draw the fire away from them with a little rambo tactics, then they can give you supportfire and help YOU get out alive.
