  1. Rat's, haven't played this mission for a long time, but the men should follow you. Have you assigned them to a seperate team (red, blue, etc) than yourself? Also maybe when you hit the ~ key to order all it's selecting everyone but yourself and the driver of the APC. Look at the bottom and make sure the green box is around everyone, you may need to hit it again. Maybe I'll fire up that mission later and see.

Yeah buts an animation of the guy moving slowly forward with the rifle shouldered vs a guy walking with the gun on his hip. It's kinda a halfway inbetween a slung weapon and one that is ready to fire. I know it's nitpicking and not needed, just clarifying what the thread starter was pointing out.

  3. Which month. I've bought the North America one that is published for June at the very end/start of May. Weird how different magazines have such different scheduels. Most articles in the NA are 3 months old because of this.

  4. Well the mission where I saw the script used the UN addon, wasn't talking about the actual script. Haven't seen it used in any other missions besides that one. Wish there was some more out there.

  5. That's essentailly what flash tool does for you, but it achives the last ten saves for each mission you are doing so you can load up an earlier save if you go too far down a path and want to go back to an earlier time.

  6. It doesn't even have to BIS that does it. I don't know, but the OPFediting center website seems to be the center for this kind of thing. They could put one together and when a mission/campaign is released it could say it's "OFPEC" certified, meaning it uses only the addons they endorse, ie 1 UH-1, etc.

  7. In RL would small arms fire actually take a hind out of the sky? I can see a lot getting damaged, not working, but to actually fall out of the sky?

That's the problem with OFP, it doesn't really have that fisticated damage model. You can't knock out the optics or render a weapon in-opratable with a lucky shot. It all adds up until it falls out of the sky.

  10. Also paintball is a highly different sport than combat. If someone is good at the one it does not mean they are good at the other. I know some guys who were bragging that they kicked some of the Tact team member from the police here. Maybe so, but put some guns in their hands and have them try to take them on in a CQB shootout, my money would be on the tact team.

  12. Yeah I know, I won't want dinosaurs either, just being sarcastic.

But at the same time I will keep an open mind to different addons. Look at DevilChasers mission, forget what it was called, but it was very cinamatic and interesting, but it involved some super spetnaz guys who could kill something by looking at it. They would look at a tank and it would levitate and then blow up. Hocky, but the overall production qualities of the mission were unbelievable.

I cringe to think of the zombie/spiderman/xmen/mummies/vampires or dinosaur mods that may come out.

I can bet that someone is going to make something like dinosaur mods.

Speaking of which.  I don't know how O2 works.  Is it possible to make characters that are not derived from OPF anyways?

    I mean like animals or dinosaurs?<span id='postcolor'>

What's wrong with a dinosaur addon? We all can relieve our Jerassic Park fantasies. I can kick a raptors ass tounge.gif

  14. There was a really nice atillary spotting misison on Flashpointarena before that page went tits up and I haven't seen it anywhere else (haven't really dug for either so who knows)

It used the UN forces addon and you had some radio commands in the map. You basically called in the x,y and z coordinates that you wanted using values that changed in the radio. (this could be tricky in veteran where you had to read the map). You then called for a marking shot. From this shot you got a visual of where the arti is aimed and you could change the position, call another marker etc until you were happy then call 'fire for effect!'. Also you could specify if you wanted a wide or tight pattern. While firing you could also tell them to move to the left right up down to walk to fire across the target. Very nice and worked good. I really liked that mission.

  15. I don't think Jets and planes are errelavent models. I won't fly them, but they will add atmosphere to the game. Planes streaking overhead while on a mission (just fluff part of a mission) or spot a airstrike with my spec ops team. Raiding airbases with the tarmac full of planes or a large cargo plane unloading in the background of a cut scene. They all work for me and will add to the game.
