  1. Did you give them 'fire at will'? The AI will break formation for cover and to get a better shot, up to a point. They won't venture far unless they are given the 'fire at will' command. Try the disengage command to pull them back.

    Im usually a sp player as well. Don't have the time to dedicate to a squad. Play some coop with friends, but that only happens a few times a month.

  2. I agree that it shouldn't be instantaneous. Right now the animation is of you slinging your rifle across your back then drawing your sidearm. That's not how it should be. I really don't have a problem with the speed of the draw all that much, but you should be able to transition to your sidearm on the move. Jogging doesn't really matter either way as you can't fire while jogging, but at combat pace and below the transition should happen on the move.

  3. I have toggle jog/walk mapped to shift x 2 and jog/walk to shift. This way I can change my default pace by double tapping, then using shift to modify the pace holding it down.

    Not all is lost because if you have iron sights / optics up hitting jog speeds you up to combat pace, it just would be nice to be apple to speed up to combat pace while while not looking through the sights.

  4. I like the grenades on a dedicated key press vs having to cycle to them.

    The best system I think would be the grenade key is a toggle. Hit 'g' or whatever and you drop weapon on its sling and ready a grenade. You can then use the shoot key to toss the grenade, hold to cook, etc. while in the gernade state you can use the normal cycle weapon command to cycle your gernade inventory. Hit 'g' to toggle back to your weapon. This way you have the realistic delay of having to sling you rifle or holster your sidearm to switch to grenades, then throw them as fast as you can in RL if you wish and then toggle back to your firearm.

  5. In Arma 1 & 2 you could use the Z axis on trackir to have an analog zoom, both in normal 1st person and when using the optics. Right now you can map zoom to Trackir, but is all or nothing. There is no stepping and it feels very different and much 'clunkier' than in the past games. I hope this makes a comeback.

  6. Hi all

    The people were not in the city where the alledged crime took place and so could not witness or take part in any activity that is alledged happened.

    Hense they are being held for what they think.

    In other words thought crime.

    Kind Regards walker

    from what I have read they are being held because they refuse to participate at all. They can walk into the Grand Jury court room and answer the questions, ie didn't see or here any evil. Instead they refuse to even participate. Every witness is compelled to attend court. They aren't imprisoned for their thoughts or beliefs, but because they refuse to attend the court house.

  7. Hey Bullet. Thanks a lot, this helped me a lot and everyone with eyefinity should thank you ;) Im new and i didnt find anythink about it on arma2 forums but its nice to have guys like you on the board!

    I calculated the numbers again cause with 0.38/2.03 the menus where a bit thinner then normal. So the better numbers are (still not perfect but looks on the first look good):

    fovTop=0.38397244;

    fovLeft=2.047853;

    BUT, i still dont get it why there is still streching :(

    http://www.abload.de/img/tanksidescreen72zv1.jpg

    I just turned right. The tank on the first picture is still 2-3cm within the middle monitor, on the 2nd picture the tank is 2-3cm outside the left monitor.

    Hehe, look at the G36, it fills now my hole 27" on the right screen ;)

    Beside that, you dont know why the bushes, grass and other textures looks so crap by any chance on the first 2 pictures i posted? Look at the tank textures :-(

    There will always be distortion and stretching on the side of the screen. 4:3, 16:9 or triple screen. You just see it more pronounced on the wider screens.

    This article explains it and the website is a great resource.

  8. LOL

    Who says that a sim can´t be fun? Anybody who claims that sims aren´t fun is kind of stupid. Arma is really FUN, DCS is fun too and so on. I simply enjoy the challenge, learning something complex and then mastering it is fun to me.

    I know a lot of people who love Rise of Flight or Il-2 who can't stand DCS. They don't find the simulation of modern systems and sensors fun. How are they stupid?
