    Cartoon series

I could see Devilchaser making a short story within the editor, but a whole cartoon series seems highly unlikely COLINMAN

do the planes continue in a straight line after you bail, then you can just line up your target and jump, or if it sort of drifts down then skill will come into play COLINMAN

I think Russel Crowe could play the part of spec ops pretty good. He has the worn grizzy look. COLINMAN

What is your perfect island dream?

Bit more rolling terrain, smaller hills all over the place, so you can lie prone and still have some cover in the open. Smaller tighter valleys with not just rivers, but smaller brooks, creeks etc. Tall grass (don't know how possible that one is) Small groves of trees. COLINMAN

    Bonsai

Sure, it's easy: Step 1) As you are flying the plane scan around to find a suitable target Step 2) Once target is aquired turn plane towards target Step 3) Once facing the target move so that it is in the center of the screen Step 4) Accerate towards target while making minor course corrections so that target stays in the center Step 5) Just before impact bend forward and kiss ass goodbye There, wasn't that simple COLINMAN

    The shilka

Well considering OFP has a single damage model that covers every unit in the game, that's what is going to happen. The Zuu can chuck a lot of bullets and they all add up into the damage done, thus being able to destroy a tank. In RL a tank wouldn't be destroyed by the 23mm, but imagine a lot of externail damage would be done, ie optics getting blown away and maybe a lucky hit to the treads immobalizing the target. As for infantry they are coming under fire from a barrage of 23mm exslosive shells that fill the air with shrapnel. If you are caught in the open by the unit in the game or RL, you will die think about it, in a 2 sec burst will shoot around 30 rounds, now you have 4 barrels so 120 rounds of 23mm explosive shells. I think that would do it. The fact that vehicles can detect you, it's a known fact that the vehicles have extra sensory perseption of the battle field once they are alert. There's nothing you can do about it. COLINMAN

    The shilka

When the Gulf War was on I watch footage of a Vulcan chewing up IFVs. They were moving around a battlefield and calling for people to surrender from damaged vehicles. If there was no movement the Vulcan hosed down the target before infantry moved in to make sure it was clear. It was an amazing site, watching basically the target explode as 100 bullets hit amost at the same time. COLINMAN

    Fighter planes

It's more along the line of a infantry sim and vehicle/aircraft arcady shooter. The flight dynamics and system modelling isn't even close, and it doesn't try to be close. It's designed for someone to jump into and start firing away and there's nothing wrong with that. I just look for more substance when I want to fly or drive a tank. COLINMAN

    Why is ofp rated "m"?

</span><table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1"><tr><td>Quote (Indychuck @ June 08 2002,09:50)</td></tr><tr><td id="QUOTE">Honestly I have never seen any rating on any game effect rather or not a parent buys it. Let alone see anybody at the store card people who are obviously too young for the games rating. The rating system has nothing to do with religion or exposing kids to violence. I see more bloodshed on my local news than I do playing games and I own SOF and GTA3. Â Game ratings are just a way to lay blame at something else instead of what the problem is. The Columbine School shooting they were blaming everyone. Games like Doom, Music, TV, books and everything. Instead of actually saying hey, I think these kids freaked out because they were constantly picked on and isolated. Sure there was signs of this but we were too busy with our own yuppie lives to see if our kid was ok. Ah I've got it, it's not our fault cause we're great people. It's those evil games I tell you. It's just passing the blame. Â During the 60's in America most got under the impression that everyone is a good person without faults. Any fault you have is not your our fault. This outlooks is very wrong and dangerous but still occurs today. Parents refusing to admit they lead selfish lives are to blame for game ratings<span id='postcolor'> How is accurating rating a game for content blaming the video game industy as a whole? Just because parents and stores are too lazy to enforce the ratings doesn't mean they are pointless. I believe that ratings should be used and parents should be more involved in the lives of their kids, like you said, that's the root of the problem. When I have kids I'm going to care about what they are doing and ratings will help me. As for games influencing people I believe that is true. You need to be disturbed in the first place, but everything around you will have an effect. It's nieve to think otherwise. Now is banning all things violent the answer? No it isn't, like I said these people need to be disturbed already. If it isn't games, then it will be books, movies, TV, D&D, mutlating small animals, etc that would feed there deprevity. The core of the problem has to be looked at and that ultimately is the home life and how that influences the rest of their lives. That's one thing I hate about our society right now, is that everyone is a victim and it's not their fault. We need to put the blame where it has to be and make people responsible for their own actions again. COLINMAN
