I think it was a suppressed M4 like you said. If they were a sniper team then Gordon would have been a scout/spotter for Shugart and a suppressed weapon would help him in that role. COLINMAN

I believe the game uses a global damage model for everything in the game. It would have to be re-written from a code level to get dynamic damage as you describe. Not easy to do. As for buring, I'm sure that's something easier to change. Vehicles smoke now, so I imagine you just need to lengthen the time of the smoking wreck. But everything has to be in balance, ie view distance, special effects (burning) level of detail, etc. to get a playable game with decent FPS. I imagine it's very hard at a design level to balance everything. COLINMAN

Then a some years later have a few national leagues set up maybe even two or three foreign immigrants playing and then declare the winners World Champions- but if it doesnt have at least reasonably high popularity in SOME other countries around the world then its a nonsense. basketball is played by a TINY minority around the world and has very little national popularity in Africa/Asia and Europe as well (although some more europeans play it-still a minority) so how can there be a credible 'World Championship'? why not call it the pan-american championship? still its fun to play<span id='postcolor'> I think you are wrong here. It's one of the most popular sports in the world. Every European nation has a league or leagues and it is played a lot in Africa. I know a ton of people who went over to Europe to play ( I played University in Canada and going to Europe is the only real way to continue your career). As for world champions name one team that would have a hope of beating the Lakers? I don't think any national team could come close. Now if the American soccer league had a championship and said they were world champions from it, whatever, but in Basketball it's pretty safe. COLINMAN

I don't have anywhere to host an image so if anyone wants to I'll email them and then you can see how ugly I am COLINMAN

A crack is warez for the simple reason that it violates the software licience. The licience would state that the code may not be altered, etc... and that's exactly what a crack does. COLINMAN

Go Lakers. The final was a disapointment, but I called it at the start of the playoffs that the western final between the Kings and the Lakers was going to be good and the winner was going to win. I was kinda hoping for Boston to make it out of the east, so an old school Lakers vs Celtic final would happen, but oh well. The Lakers have an unbelievable team and no one can touch them when they are on their game. Damn shame that I had to listen to Bill Walton through the whole playoffs, I hate that guy and can't stand him commenting on games. COLINMAN

That's a normal software licience 1 copy 1 computer. Some games allow the disk to be used in 2 machines, ie one normal install and 1 mp only install, but not many. Codemasters hasn't done anything out of the ordinary here. COLINMAN

Not sure what you are asking for, but you can shoot thru bushes, so don't bother lining up with a 'hole' just shoot and hit the guy behind it. COLINMAN

i agree tho, i find shilka engaging infantry quite unrealstic. vehicles yes, lone infantryman no, unless all the other troops around the shilka were also firing at the target... visiblity wouldnt exactly be fantastic in that thing ruud: use third person view when driving a tank, its unrealistic but much easier<span id='postcolor'> It would optics as a backup to the radar. And the Zuu engaging infantry unrealsitic in RL? Why not? I mean if the Zuu can see the infantry and can bring it's guns to bear, for damn sure it's going to kill the enemy, even if that isn't it's defined role! COLINMAN

I was thinking about how to improve the use of the LAW in the game as I hate the duck walk you do when the launcher is ready. My thought is when you ready the launcher you can move around as normal, ie walk, run etc. but you can't fire the LAW until you hit the crouch key and then you crouch down and bring the LAW to your shoulder to fire. So basically when you ready the LAW you sling your rifle and hold your LAW in your hands, but it isn't readied to fire until you crouch. This way you can ready the shot behind cover, then move into the open at a decent speed. Also this way no new animations are needed, just replace the rifle in your hands with the LAW and then the LAW on your shoulder when you move to fire. COLINMAN
