  3. I got great inspiration when listening to the Episode 1 Remix Though it wasnt a mission, it was an intro... Really neat actually. Otherwise its Linkin Park, Limp Bizkit or E-type all the way. Though the last doesnt really belong there Oh oh, and I have TRIED to make people get really inspired by telling them to slam tanks into the ground to the tunes of Requiem (I44 script job testing). Hm, I wonder why no one have done it yet...

    I havent talked to them really. As I said, it isnt priority. After one actually get Oxygen its something to ask for. Im just playing around with it, to see if it is a possibility (the new testversion (not available for download) is really sweet, with sounds and all... And one can get killed by it:) but that is a messy buisness to make happen ) I know about the speed, one of the reasons I released the early beta was that I wanted feedback on just that. About controlling the train: Stopping it via an action on the cm menu can be made very simply. But that was not my idea from the start. The train is designed to be part of the scenery, and possibly be used as limited transportation (well, obviously, its already possible ). But I do not think I will be make it player controlled. I have recently posted current test version features and planed features in that thread, if you want to look. And it would be nice if you came there to come up with suggestions (ad for I44, if you didnt notice ) And this is now going offtopic... eh... Oh, yeah: We want trains in Resistance!

    Hm... That sounds odd... I have my ext, sqs and sqm linked to notepad, its working fine. OFP shouldnt care about such settings in windows anyway. Just make sure it isnt a hidden .ext.txt. Maybe try and linking it to something else, like wordpad? Or EditPlus (downloadable, much better text editor, just search)?

  12. Has anyone gotten obj = nearestObject [obj2,"All"] to work? I was trying to make my train script (info here and early beta download here) kill all objects that enter its path, but it doesnt seem to work... Does the types with "-" sign in the comref dont work with this? Detecting specifics, like a west medic or soldier works, but just detecting a "Car" or "Men" doesnt work... Sure, using specific types works, but its much much bigger...

  14. Ah, so many hard words... My brain hurts... Youre talking about copying stuff that others made? As long as one give credit to the one that came up with the original thing... AND if one improve it, if one do a worse version its not so good Otherwise I could care less. I suppose someone will instantly start "improving" my train script for instance and say "Wohoo, I made a train with smoke!". My new version with smoke and sound is already done, but still... Nothing is sacred when it comes to data...

    "person setFace soldier" The examples shows "setFace "Face10"", which is kind of odd (same as the first line in naming), but I suppose you do _aiunit setFace "Face10" for instance. BUT you cant grab a face somehow So its hard to do... (Maybe you can, but I dont know how)

    Why dont you just try it? Do what the comref says and see what happens... I dont know exactly what it puts out when using "player", but I suppose its meant to spit out variables that you want to check. Maybe comes up where the error messege comes (you know, white text up at the top)? I use a hint window for debuging anyway, so I dont need it

    One could probably do it, but it would be to hard on the computer... Its better just to script the specifics for a mission one is working on, like cars driving around or people talking on a square or walking around... Then you only get the ones you want, when you want them.

    Dont forget facing. If you want to for instance show the ai in a cutscene facing a building then the cutscene stops, the player should face the building. Just a few lines there, get the dir before removing the ai, set the players dir as that.

    No idea... Is it possible? You can always quickly replace the player with an ai... (move player away, move in an ai). Then when its over you move the ai away and place the player at his position...
