When you order it you specify what version. -
Yes. They are heavier than an APC. The M113 was the last Army APC that I know of. Yet don't dis the M113 either. There were so many M113 variants. One had turret with twin TOW missle launchers. Looked really weird. When I was in, our mortar platoon still used the M113s. We also had them for comm and medics. Wanna talk about weird looking vehicles. When I first got in, they had these strange looking wheeled units known as Gamma Goats (not sure what the nomenclature was).

No, they ride in M3 CFV's (and Hummers). The M3 is the Calvary Fighting Vehicle.

Hey if you became a bird, you won the Flashpoint million dollar contest. Contact BIS right away to claim your prize. Tell em you won the "N00b" contest.

You called the M3 an IFV? You need to be slapped around. Never disrespect Calvary that way. You never know when a Scout has you in his sights Silent Death. (Edited by DarthBeavis at 5:03 am on Dec. 5, 2001)

Gunner and TC sit next to eachother in same turret. One rotates, they both do. There are periscopes around the TC's headd if I remember correctly (as there are for the driver. Observers also have periscopes.

I MUST have inert TOW missles!!! And how about MILES gear for my Bradley and M16 (we don't need to hurt those nice OPFOR fellas since they did nothing wrong to us). Oh, and saluting in the field will now be punishable by death. Since this game takes place in 1985, we must also have smoke breaks (smoke em if you got em).

About the Bradley not being available in 1985, here is the final word: I graduated from Armored Reconnaissance School in Feb. 1985 (trained from Oct 84 to Feb 85) as with 19D MOS, Bradley qualified. Stationed in 2nd AD (mechanized infantry unit if Bradley IFV's) until 1986. Being a scout, I was on an M3 Bradley CFV instead of the IFV. Bradleys were used in the 1st Calvary Division on my base also, as well as in our sister units in Germany (we had Bradleys there for our use during REFORGER). ----- Served as M3 Bradley Squad Member in Army 1984-1986, Calvary Scout 19D - Yes, in Real Life you really swell guys -

If you ever loaded a Bradley's TOW launchers you would know why you need AP and HE ammo available to the chaingun. It takes a while. Of course the turret is essentially disable during the process, but at least you could lower the loading door if you could not finish loading the launcher and then respond to any threat with the chaingun. There were M113s with TOW mounted turrets before the Bradley was in service. There are TOW mounted Hummers now (I was one one after I got out of the Army and went into the National Guard). I don't remember how the TOW2 missles were rated against the T80, but I know they will take out a T-72 if fired accurately. If you want some cool accuracy, have dismounted anti-tank weapons like the Dragon or the dismounted TOW launcher. There is also one similar to the LAW but it has four tubes connected and fires nalpalm projectiles (can't remember what it is called). I think someone should make a mod of a Gamma Goat mounted with a TOW launcher and chaingun. Also have a water buffalo to pull behind the Dootson Half (fill it full of mogas and blow it).
