As long as this game runs mainly over the cpu you can have dozen of gpu features, non of them will help you. Most bad think is that we dont get much better cpus the next 2 years...

I dont think so, since the perfomance gain with the new intel generation is so thin, that the prices dont go much down. Look at the current gpu prices for the new AMD cards. The 380 kost the same like the 280X. The 290 cost the same like the 390.

Funniest think is, canonlake wich should come 2016 got delayed until 2017. So no new CPU performance jumps until 2017. Or maybe with the AMD ZEN CPUs if they are good.

I overlocked my old FX-8350 with around 300Mhz~700Mhz and i did not got a single fps more. You should better stay save with that and dont overlock. I cannot recommendend this cpu for arma 3. Currently my FX-8350 is in my secound pc, i replaced it with the i7 4790k. I can play a lot of actual games with my secound rig, but Arma is NOT PLAYABLE during multiplayer with that cpu. I have around 1~20 fps with that cpu.

As i heard, AMD plan's to bring the ZEN CPUs with 12 cores. So i could be that AMDs cpu's will be good at multi-core games. Maybe they will be weaker with single core performance. Currently ArmA dont profit much from multi-core CPU's, maybe it will change with the addon and DX12 support. If not you drive better with high clocked single core CPUs. But that is an big maybe, we dont know much yet about the ZEN CPUs. I really hope they will be good, INTEL needs someone to fight with. The last INTEL CPUs had big prices, but no big perfomance jump between their own last gen cpu's. I dont expect a big jump from the 4790k to the 6700k, maybe the jump will be higher in the next generation if AMD pushes INTEL with good ZEN CPU's. Additionally iam intrested how ArmA will be better with high clocked DDR4 RAM.

Confuesed a little, so basicly it is included but not used by the standartunits or what? Because i read happening in an upcoming update... (Sry i dont started arma a while ago)

You can buy a i7 4790k and have bad fps in multiplayer matches. I would wait for the next intel generation with DDR4 support. Yes there are currently some DDR4 Intel cpu's out but they are all slower then the 4790k at games. ArmA improves a lot with high clocked ram and high clocked (single core) cpu's. So i would advice to buy something in that direction. GPU does not matter, a GTX 770 is good enough for all effects.

Even the gtx 970 is enough to get bored in arma 3. The problem is the ram and cpu.

Ah ok, no we just place the modules on the map to force the ace settings.

Iam currently testing, i have CBA+TFR+ACE3 and this project reality island loaded, i cannot kill enemy AAF Units. Just explosives works. @Bigpoppablunts What do you mean with force server settings with ACE3? I have the following modules on the map: ACE Ballistics ACE Blue Force Tracking ACE Explosive System ACE Hearing ACE Interaction System ACE Map ACE MicroDagr ACE MK6 Settings ACE Name Tags ACE Respawn System ACE Weather ACE Wind deflection ACE Basic Medical System ACE Set Medical Class EDIT: I tried to remove all the modules one after the another to find out wich module cause this issues (because without them all is fine). It is the ACE Basic Medical Module what cause this issues. Iam now checking the configs of the module... EDIT2: It is the setting: "Prevent Instant Death" that cause the issue, if i disable that, everythink works fine.

We tested today ace3, we encounterd a problem with the enemy AI. After we shot two AI's all AI's on the map got immortal. Any idea what could cause this? We use tfr + the included cba and the rh m4 and pistol pack. The only way to kill the AI is to use a car (drive over them) or explosives. We use the basic medic system (not the advanced).

BI could just bring these models out (With better quality) and add some new features that improve the experience and the naval dlc is done. (Badass Feature would be walking on moving ships, but that will be a dream forever i guess :-( ) At lease a fully working carrier for jets/heli would be nice. So i can make invade xyz island missions again :D

There is only one solution to this! NAVAL DLC INCOMING! I dont know why this game is so hard lacking ship enviorment. Some working submarines, some destroyer, some aircraft carrier and we would have a lot of fun on the sea in arma too.
