    AI Difficulties

I'm not too bothered about my medic healing the injured pilots. Just I don't want the pilots to suddenly realise that my medic is nearby and try and crawl out of their hiding place into a street full of militants with AKs to get healed.

Seems I've got another problem too. When the blackhawk comes to extract the medivac team and casualties, it lowers the rope ladder and everyone climbs on fine, but sometimes then it just sits there and hovers without leaving.

Resistance "Counterstike" - Jipped out of kills

I had three helicopters on this mission. A V-80, a Mi-17 and a Mi-24. I took the two hinds out with RPGs and the V-80 with a sabot, hoping that clearing the base may allow me to escape with all the ammunition I had collected (which was a lot), but due to some bug I was placed in the next mission with next to nothing.

With regards to my second problem, the fastroping sequence seems to be working now. I don't know what was causing the random "eject" issue, but using multiple waypoints to slow the blackhawk into the drop-zone appears to have worked well. As for the medics issue, if anyone can think of a way that I can get the injured pilots not to try and seek medical support from my team, but then be treated by the medics in the medivac team, that would be fantastic. I've not enough experience with scripts to know how this kind of stuff works.

The american PBR shouldn't present any problems really. I've used it a few times before and it always works fine. Make sure you have the waypoints set correctly. As for placing units in boats as individuals, this should work if you ungroup each unit and give them all waypoints individually. Using "get out" would work to get all units out of them boats, but it's far easier to give the boats "transport unload" waypoints instead, which will mean they kick out all the passengers themselves. Using individual units instead of groups however may present problems incase you want large numbers of units, as there is a limit to how many groups can exist in one map (something like 64 groups) To make the russians stay standing, add the line this setunitpos "up" into their initialisation field and they won't lie down.
  6. I've got a couple of issues here about a mission I've been creating for a couple of days now. I've searched the forum adamantly for an answer but no luck with that. The mission started off as just teaching myself how to make cinematics, and I used a blackhawk down idea for the intro. I've ended up making and entire mission though now for the fun of it. I have two wounded pilots from the crash who are hiding in a small cluster of buildings. You're meant to cross the city and radio in a chopper to medivac them, the medivac works by fastroping a small team of medics in who treat the pilots and radio for the chopper to return and they climb onboard via rope-ladder. I've used Tonal as the map and chosen the large, eastern city on the map, to base it in. The problems: 1. I have a medic in my team, and as we close in on the crash site, we get within a certain range of the pilots who then decide to crawl out and try and get help from our medic. I want them to ignore our medic and wait for the actual medivac team to arrive. I obviously could solve this by removing our medic but I don't really want to do that, is there a way of scripting it somehow? 2. The helicopter I am using (BAS-UH-60L) is brilliant. They have done a fantastic job on it. However, I've been having difficulties slowing it down enough to fastrope accurately. The mission being in a city means I need the chopper to be very accurate about where it deploys the troops. I've tried using plenty of waypoints to slow the chopper down on it's approach, but strangely when I did this it just threw the passengers out, ala eject style. I've also tried using an invisible H, raised to flight height, but this seems to have no effect, maybe because the fastroping system never actually tries to land. 3. The helicopter is flying in a circle around the city, which it breaks out of when I radio for the medivac team to arrive. However, there are two large towers in the city (as you may know if you have player tonal), and depending on where the chopper is in it's flight path, sometimes it collides with the towers enroute to the drop-off. I'd rather the helicopter avoid them for the missions sake (and political correctness I might add) Is there anyway of trying to get the chopper to go around them every time, bearing in mind that its flying in a circular pattern around the city. Thanks in advance for any help.
