Fair sumup there, XCess. If you're an advanced editor, you can make your own EECP, which I've done, and boy, it's the best bloody thing I've ever played. But any mod with a separate config cannot be used with another mod's config. That means no ECP/FFUR, for example. However, there are some "mods" which just consist of addons, and if you check they haven't got a config, you can use them together with ECP or FFUR, which do have a config, etc. Mod folders are also easy ways to keep separate from the original OFP folders things you mightn't want there, like 2GB of addons, sky packs, various experimental addons, llamas, etc...

Heheheh, I hope FFUR don't get the same idea, but it seems they're updating the old one until the new one makes an appearance, so I don't think they'll change the release date.

You are looking for the following file: In your OPF directory, try Res, then Bin, then there should be a stringtable file there. Open it with MS Excel, and you'll find the quotes down there (and I mean DOWN there - it's a bloody big file). Be sure not to screw up editing it though, save a copy first.

Thanks for your reply, mate. Though you shouldn't worry about the voices, I make missions with custom sound, so I know alllllll about that stuff. I've got voices from AVP2, Freelancer, Ghost Recon, everything under the bloody sun. Even Quake 4 and Doom 3 sounds are going in! I love modding my OFP! (Anyone think I should ask ECP if I can release the finished addon? I might be breaking about 10^8 copyright laws... )

Hey all ECP makers! I would like to add about 600 more soundfiles to the DSAI. How do I go about this? I'm guessing it should be fairly simple, and I can config-edit my way outta jail. What do I need to add (besides the sounds, obviously) in which scripts?

GS faces for Llauma head model

Bit inexperienced when it comes to face texturing... are you planning to make a faces.pbo for these? And does anyone have any idea if the BIS face -> Llaumax head conversion project is getting anywhere? I had a look at a few of the faces meself, Sputz - good job converting them. -
Ta Wilco - it'd be nice to have an alternate model for the US regs. Hope it goes well (could you please keep me updated?) Yeah, weapon pack needs a lot of additions and tweaking - like weapon inventory .paas, etc. If you wanted, you could make an SJB or LSR config to keep others happy, but it's just a suggestion. I reckon you ask CanadianTerror or someone similar to do some beta testing for you guys.

Ah, I can't do any texturing or modelling - I'd kill your Mod with my horrible texturing. However, I'm happy to send you the sound. Also, would you consider these three letters for your next version? A C U (pleeeeeease?) Your MARPAT and BDU textures are good quality. I'm not so much a fan of the weapon pack, however, but I'm sure your team are working overtime on it!

I've got a good sound for the M249 - fairly realistic - if you'd like to borrow it. It's from one of the old soundpacks, and was originally for another weapon, but I think it's perfect for the M249. Interested?

I'm fairly sure you can't do this in MP. Using different models in multiplayer will work of course, but apparently it causes either a ping-fest or CTDs. Any other ideas?

Or they could just redo the config to call it the M1A1 and add Marine crew if it's exactly the same. No point in making two, I spose.

The crew is looking good - but is there any reason you're sticking with the 1985 model? It's just those "shoulder-pad"/double-protection bits are throwbacks from the old PASGT/ALICE system - in the modern system you should be able to see the BDU vest continue over and around the shoulders, like in those pics I posted. I can see the bit I'm talking about on your pics, but they are then covered by them "shoulder-pads" on the shoulders. May I recommend you copy the collar model (but not the shoulders) from the 1985 model and stick it on the 2003 model, so you have the collar, but no shoulderpads.

Oh yes. Hoping you'd do a high res update o' those. Keep up the fine work. Just offtopic for a sec - IRL, are US regular riflemen recieving Aimpoints or Reflex sights? I know this has been answered about xty hundred posts back, but could someone please reiterate?
