Thanks mate. Just so you all know, an update is in the pipes - I'm gonna remove grenade sounds since I can't find a way around that small bug, and add about another ton of sounds from Q4 into combat, aware and idle categories. Once I get my hands on the Alfa demo, I'll be sure to start revamping the Russian voices too, with help from a Russian-speaker. -

Well, before anything happens, you might want to go out on a limb and ASK Llauma and RHS if they'd consider marrying their addons and posting it in public. From observing other's problems, people who don't ask for permission before attempting to modify an addon get some very nasty messages and labels thrown at them. However, if its for private use only, and you can find a modeller willing to do it for you, feel free - but I don't think RHS + Llauma would appreciate it being posted online without their permission. -
After finishing this campaign twice before, I got bored, and added my player a HYK Ultra M16 (the gun that fires laserguided bomb bullets ). Then I kept my squad at home except for one with an AK47 and RPG. Between us we managed to plug the soldiers coming out of the trucks and the tanks - I fired about 50m away and it killed them without hurting the trucks too much. Then I jogged down the ridge to the south a little bit, set up shop and waited... ...when the relief convoy showed up, I UltraM16'd the BMP into the north Nogova sea. Was great fun.

T55 hasn't got a turnout animation for anyone - weird. Yeah, no commander MGs... Nice textures and model, but I don't think I'll be giving up my RHS T55s or ORCs T72 for these ones. PS. What does the cyrillic on the side of the T72 mean?

Ah, mate - this isn't my area of expertise. You'd have to ask an ECP member about this (do it via email). My addon simply adds more voices, it doesn't change the frequency of speaking them. I am, however, interested in that too - please let me know how you go with that.

Thanks guys. Soon I'll release an update with more Russian voices (I think I'll borrow a few from Retaliation: Peacekeeper) and with fixed bugs. Thanks for the kind comments - glad I could give back to the community for once! -

Gedis - the Shilka has been mentioned about x,000 times. It is the reason for the delay being released this long. No offence to anyone, but I wish everyone would stop asking for stuff so the team can finally get their gear up without having to wait longer to improve one teeny thing. If you're asking about anything, I suggest you read back - it's sure as hell in there. Examples: the M1A2 and Shilka were both mentioned about 50 posts back, and the Shilka about 3000000000 times.

What do you mean exactly (in a strictly technical sense) by optimization? You mean removal of all scripts, unnecessary eye candy P3Ds, textures etc that are not required for strict OFP running? -

As far as I know - no external scripts are required for running, it's simply a matter of whacking in the addon and adding some entries into the ECP function files. I imagine that if the server had this addon installed, everything would run fine, seeing as other ECP addons work too on a dedicated server. Anyone want to try it out for me? -

IMHO, between themselves, the ECP team and the FFUR team combine to make (no, not Captain Planet) something quite close to AA quality. Especially when you consider what Flashpoint looked like in the beginning, and what it looks like now... whew! Someone should make a video of it. Anyway, if the release is in a coupla days, I imagine the only thing left for the FFUR team to do is upload it. Can't wait!

Good on you, mate - all the best! Â One last totally irritating addition - don't forget kneepads. They look good, realistic and help disguise texture stretching in that area.

Forget my previous post, I'm having a really blonde day today. DLEM - been studying the pics <drool>. Just some points - don't forget about the velcro US Flag/Unit badge thingies on the arm - perhaps you could ask ThunderBird84 of FFUR to borrow those patches from his textures? Rather than make an ACU cover for the armour (since you already have   (silly me), could you please make an ACU camelbak and ACU pouches? This is so that primarily woodland-users (like me! can not be shot up too much, and for a bit of realism too - perhaps even two variants, one for desert, one for woodland, with the only differences being the pouches and camelbak? Another thing - please make a base model without armour and webbing for garrison use. Last thing, you may wish to vary the pouches carried from unit to unit (that is, give the machine gunner two box pouches, the rifleman 4 or so M4 mag pouches, etc etc). I'm fairly sure this can be via hiddenselections. Once your limb problems are fixed, this will be THE ACU addon to have, I'm fairly sure - the textures look really good, and the gear looks better! Please don't stop working on it! Â
