Um... to me it seemed that they didn't miss all too many shots, and the ones they did miss came from full auto. It seemed quite good, I thought. I'd be concerned about how they didn't even get fired at once in retaliation, but then again the improved AI was not present in that version.

Sam would be right. However, a few people have asked me for permission to re-head these units, and I've given them permission. Sadly, noone has done it yet, and, as selfish as I sound saying this, I really haven't got time to do so, especially seeing as I'm going through another (yes, another) hardware upgrade - got my super-duper-WIFI-of-doom ASUS P5WDH mobo today.

The current cloud looks more like a LAW rocket or something similar, maybe even a mortar. The anims are nice, only the running and crawling anims need work IMHO. Running to prone is fully awesome.

Thanks for that Chipper - it's now a toss up between ASUS P5ND2-SLI-Deluxe and the ASUS P5WDH Deluxe - apparently SLI is only really necessary for those running games at above 1280x1024 resolution, which I am not. So maybe just one 7950GX2 will do me for now.

As Strango said, scopes that don't zoom serve no purpose in games, since players can aim accurately without even resorting to ironsights (unless they are true diehard realists and play without the crosshair - God bless 'em!. IRL, unmagnified sights are used for easy target acquisition, rather than having to line up your posts with the ironsights, making them especially useful in CQB scenarios. You just shoot where the dot points.

Damn straight - soldiers just don't go out into combat without gloves on these days. Combat with bare hands makes me cringe... and not just for fear of chipping a nail. Hell, paintballing with bare hands makes me cringe - I always bring the ole gloves along.

Of course, if the AI were that good, I'd think twice about getting to my feet in single player. Plus you can tell by the way the other guy kinda "floats" in little bits.

Sorry for double posting, mods. Need to ask this one: I need y'allse opinion on this. I'm upgrading my mobo to an SLI, super-uber-RAM capable one. My current one is an elderly but much loved and very good ASUS P5AD2-E Deluxe. I would like your opinions. I'd like to be able to: - SLI when I get the money. - Run 4GB of nutcase (at least 600MHz) DDRII RAM. - Support my Intel P4 775 Processor (NOT a Conroe/Viiv/Duo). - Support my Creative Audigy 2ZS SC. Thinking of maybe a - Gigabyte GA-8N-SLI => $125 AUD. ASUS P5ND2-SLI => $149 AUD. ASUS P5ND2-SLI-DELUXE => $250 AUD. I have no idea what ASUS' latest SLI offerings are, the P5Ns are all I could find in my local area. I'm a bit of an ASUS fanboy, however, and I mistrust Gigabyte for some unknown reason. I could use a P5W DH, however, I'm not sure whether it is compatible with P4s, and whether it even has SLI capability (though my local compy store says it has 2 PCI-E slots).

The 6600 isn't going to be the best performer in ArmedA, unfortunately, but I agree with Chipper that it's the pick of your list. Heck, I'm switching out my 6800GTO cause I fear it won't be good stuff.

Auscam whoops ass, IMHO (little bit of bias - see sig). On topic, ACU is VERY VERY hard to replicate in OFP. I should know. Why are people even arguing about this when there is the (unrealistic but necessary) choice to have BDU in OFP? Those who like BDU, keep it. Those who want ACU, switch configs. Debate over.

A subtle indicator of how much OFP runs my life... was bored yesterday, so decided to FacePlant myself! So here I am, looking very pasty and grainy, but happy in ACU... EEEK! And, on the brighter side, a piccy of the civvie police I'm working on (thanks to FDF, Deadmeat).

...I should be OK! No, I used to run OFP on an 833MHz machine, and the poor thing would baulk at the big levels in CWC. I'd want to gun up and over the minimum BIS-posted specs before getting ArmedA. Incoming Quad Royale! Â
