Yeah, I'm having problems getting the pilot to face towards the enemy. The very first time we crest a ridge, sure, I can smear a couple of infantry in the valley below, but there's a tank and a BMP shooting me down in the meantime, and all I can do is sling cannon rounds at them because I'm sitting oblique to them. Died several times this way now, without getting a single Hellfire off. Might be because I'm trying to use ACE concurrently - I'll give it a red hot go in vanilla.
-
This solved it for me, although it's not ideal. In the UI, this bind is listed as "Next target (in vehicle)" - I don't have just "Next target" listed anywhere in the controls. Perhaps it's a deprecated control? Anyone got a screenshot?

Hah, not bad!

US Military Mod (80s, 90s)
CameronMcDonald replied to Delta Hawk's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
Likely to be the LODs changing. Perhaps Delta could look into them and make the change between them a bit less jarring. -
I couldn't get resting to work - and wasn't able for quite some time, even before 1.4 came out. For some reason, despite having "next target" bound, I couldn't rest on anything, no matter the keybind. I looked through the bug reports, didn't have any joy, then got fed up, delved into the autorest and PCML addons and changed "LockTargets" to "VehLockTargets" in the applicable scripts within, et voila - bipods and resting (and the PCML plunger) working swimmingly again.
-
\m/ Excellent! EDIT #2 - fixed it, via the sneaky replacement of "VehLockTargets" in a couple of places.

ASR AI 3 does this nicely. I use it in conjunction (minus the ASR_AI3_SysDanger PBO to avoid any danger.fsm conflicts). -

CameronMcDonald replied to thetrooper's topic in ARMA 3 - USER MISSIONS
Nice mission - I hope you don't mind some constructive criticism! Firstly, I'm using devbuild, and get the following script errors: Error in expression <ightAmbient _moreRed; }; sleep 0.2; }; };> Error position: <};> Error Missing { File missions\__cur_sp.altis\scripts\car2siren.sqf, line 95 Error in expression <ightAmbient _moreRed; }; sleep 0.2; }; };> Error position: <};> Error Missing { File missions\__cur_sp.altis\scripts\car3siren.sqf, line 95 Error in expression <ightAmbient _moreRed; }; sleep 0.2; }; };> Error position: <};> Error Missing { File missions\__cur_sp.altis\scripts\car4siren.sqf, line 95 Error in expression <ightAmbient _moreRed; }; sleep 0.2; }; };> Error position: <};> Error Missing { File missions\__cur_sp.altis\scripts\car5siren.sqf, line 95 Error in expression <ightAmbient _moreRed; }; sleep 0.2; }; };> Error position: <};> Error Missing { File missions\__cur_sp.altis\scripts\car6siren.sqf, line 95 Error in expression <ightAmbient _moreRed; }; sleep 0.2; }; };> Error position: <};> Error Missing { File missions\__cur_sp.altis\scripts\car7siren.sqf, line 95 Error in expression <ightAmbient _moreRed; }; sleep 0.2; }; };> Error position: <};> Error Missing { File missions\__cur_sp.altis\scripts\car8siren.sqf, line 95 Error in expression <ightAmbient _moreRed; }; sleep 0.2; }; };> Error position: <};> Error Missing { File missions\__cur_sp.altis\scripts\car9siren.sqf, line 95 Error in expression <ightAmbient _moreRed; }; sleep 0.2; }; };> Error position: <};> Error Missing { File missions\__cur_sp.altis\scripts\car10siren.sqf, line 95 Error in expression <ightAmbient _moreRed; }; sleep 0.2; }; };> Error position: <};> Error Missing { File missions\__cur_sp.altis\scripts\car12siren.sqf, line 95 Error in expression <ightAmbient _moreRed; }; sleep 0.2; }; };> Error position: <};> Error Missing { File missions\__cur_sp.altis\scripts\car14siren.sqf, line 95 Error in expression <ightAmbient _moreRed; }; sleep 0.2; }; };> Error position: <};> Error Missing { File missions\__cur_sp.altis\scripts\car15siren.sqf, line 95 Error in expression <ightAmbient _moreRed; }; sleep 0.2; }; };> Error position: <};> Error Missing { File missions\__cur_sp.altis\scripts\car17siren.sqf, line 95 Error in expression <ightAmbient _moreRed; }; sleep 0.2; }; };> Error position: <};> Error Missing { File missions\__cur_sp.altis\scripts\car18siren.sqf, line 95 The error repeats throughout the mission, in sync with your car light bars, it would seem. Secondly, old mate Lone Wolf also repeats the "Go get 'em Mac!" or words to that effect twice as I pass him. Thirdly, I did enjoy the mission on the whole, and I hope you keep making more. :don 11: -
I'd use Jane's. This is for non-ERA versions, of course. For the T-64A: No further info given. T-64B: The article goes on to specify that the T-64B usually totes ERA, too.

Hidden Identity Pack V.2
CameronMcDonald replied to Cunico's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
Nice stuff, Cunico. Some food for thought: - WRT the shemaghs worn around the neck - perhaps you could consider closing the top of the shemagh's model to prevent the untextured (and therefore transparent) interior of the shemagh and the character's neck from being shown. I don't think the additional faces would cause significant issues performance-wise. Can provide a screenshot if you wish. - Some further tweaking of the items to allow for helmet straps and collars would help the aesthetics. At the moment, helmet straps and collars tend to be showing through a lot of the models, particularly for BLUFOR. - How about collaboration with LordHeart and his LHM Glasses mod for teh immerzionz? Keep up the hard work. -
[OPEN BETA] [SP] bCombat infantry AI Mod
CameronMcDonald replied to fabrizio_t's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
I can't speak for fabrizio, but I'm glad he's done that. I recall mods in the past where the "move to cover" feature make it a royal PITA to get your troops to do anything. You'd be trying to get your guys to sit in a specific spot, mount a vehicle, or keep up with you, and all of a sudden, *BAM*, they get issued a silent "move" command by the AI mod that moves them from where you put them, interrupts what they were doing or otherwise slows them down.
