If you'd like similar looking ACU troops, SF and regs, grab the FacePlant stuff and Johnny's SF - they use the same ACU textures. Grab his latest version for the happy happy non-regular-Afghan look too.

As always, depends upon the weapon, sonic or subsonic ammo, etc etc ad infinitum. The silenced M4 using sonic ammo is particularly "loud" as far as being a silenced weapon goes, compared to the MP5SDwhatever it's like clanging a cymbal. Sure sounds could be heard a ton in the desert, no ambient sound, and no muffling structures.

I agree totally mate, and I think I'll release two configs. Gotta feed the chickens, once in a while. Plus I prefer having the uber M4s with the uber AT weapons myself. That said, some have a slower connection than you and me, I spose.

@action man - yeah, I'm still slogging away at the rock face of my mod, though I'm getting less and less inclined to work at it - if only Armed Assault stuff was less easy to get! I may have to go back on the original mod idea, and release each part piecemeal, since I don't think I'll be able to get around to completing everything I had in mind. It's a sad thought, I know, but the community will be a hell of a lot happier, I suppose. Unfortunately I recently pirated Colin McRae Rally '05 on a whim, so I've been racing around and smacking into trees a lot more than I've been OFPing. But yeah, I still have those projects, if you know what I mean.

Either the .22 you fire is an absolute monster, or you need to take up some barbells. I've fired quite a few 22s, and when I was 12 and shooting cans in Rockhampton at a mate's property I thought 22s had piss all recoil, at least compared to the 12G. IMHO, from what I can see in the videos, the 5.56mm recoil is quite realistic, and judging from my own experience (I'm qualled on the 5.56 F88 (Steyr)) the recoil is fine, seems just the right amount to me.
