That's it. Also check out things like velocity, acceleration, speed (note velocity and speed are not the same thing). But if you want the nutcase stuff, you might have to venture back into sincostanville.
-
That's bloody classic!
-
Agreed, but I tend to shy away from things like that. Basically what I script for is limited to cutscenes and objective-based stuff. I leave the heavy gear to the real pros, like you.
-
Nope. Don't fret though, you'll surely know about it when and if it does happen.
-
Ta mate, you are indeed very aptly named. Thanks!
-
You can do it in real life (if you're that poorly trained) so you should be able to do it in Armed Assault. Limitations are evil.
-
Depends what you're trying to do. Anything with units, waypoints etc => generally fairly easy (unless you're doing something as epic as THobson's Abandoned Amish). Only a limited number of commands, most easy to learn. Anything with the drop command => way out of my league. As soon as the happy trigonometric trio of sin, cos and tan show up, I'm out of there. I did well at maths in school, but I'll be damned if I'm gonna waste my time working on a problem while I'm meant to be playing a game.

From my military experience, I've been told women aren't allowed on the frontlines due to the possibility of capture and rape. Ugly, blunt, but true. Not to say men aren't likely to be raped either, but the idea of female soldiers being raped by an enemy carries a much larger stigma than the other way around. Hence, very few developed nations are willing to let their women on the front lines, Australia being one of them.

C'est ca. Hopefully the NSLA guys will be too, if they'd like to preserve their hearing. I'd like to see (or hear?) tinnitus (ringing of the ears) in Armed A, if not straight up, then ECP will tide me over. Â

All the bad stuff happens at once, eh. What model motherboard you looking at here? My motherboard is quite interesting, it has the battery sitting nice and easy, open to the air... my last one wasn't like that. I do fret that it'll fall out sometimes. I reckon you ought to get yourself a surge protector, I've had one for years (SkyBlaster is a good brand), and I've never killed a system, even that time I blew the safety about 4 times in a row without knowing what I was doing. -
Looks mighty pissed off, whatever's going on. I have a favour to ask, and would do it myself, but I have no idea: could someone please pull the sound component off that new US Forces trailer and host it up? I'd like to add it to my ever growing 2-strong Armed Assault music collection!

XCess, posting in the wrong forum? I'm shocked! What kind of knowledge you after? What area of maths?
-
I thought the heads were fine myself. Nice to see the good ole pudding pot got a strap, finally.

Check your jumpers too, though a FUBAR'd battery sounds like the problem. Just to be sure. -
Either or. Whatever he was, he was crap. Looking forward to seeing the modding possibilities with the new engine. Weapon resting/MG deployment especially. Hopefully the age of muzzles going through walls is over.

Bah, we'd win hands down. Youse might have been around longer, but jeez, only Guiness comes even close to anywhere near Aussie beer. And that ain't even English. And don't get me started on how crap American beer is, though I acquiesce that they're not part of the C'Wealth. Back on topic: I wouldn't mind seeing something like Ukraine or another ex-Soviet satellite going up against the Russians, but that sounds like a Dale Brown or Tom Clancy novel the more I talk about it. Or even just the ole Resistance campaign - think I'll be quiet now. Besides, isn't it already decided that the US will be (once again) up front in Game2? My first quote!
-
Woah... in that case, I may just drop them an email. Ta Dwarden.
-
Tip my hat to you, Rock. Looking good.

That flight video is hilarious! Either the flight model is uber hard, or that guy had no idea what the hell he was doing. Anyone notice the put down weapon animation? Hopefully this means no more "Force-like" pick ups or drops. Solid shtuff.

Weirded out. Strange one. XCess - if you don't like it or stuff starts to crash + burn, jump into BIOS (depending on which mobo you've got) and reset your speed. The only weird overclocking experience I've had is one day I woke up and noticed that my computer was suddenly recognising my humble P4 dual core with HT as an uber Pentium Extreme 3914MHz with one core. That was very strange. A quick glance at me overclocking utility said I was still whacking away on two cores though (thank god). And as far as computers trying to prepare for Armed Assault... within the next month or two I'm expecting a shipment of 2GB of fast DDR2... Â Guess my brother will be happy - he gets my old RAM too. -

I got the whole thing from work for free! That's a nice all-round system you're grabbing, J W, btw. Good stuff. -
Sounds good, I'll grabbage when I get home from uni. Lots of content for me to drool over today.
-
Ah, BF2, what a CS clone thou art. Tell those guys to improve their driving skills.

Nice stuff, Olemiss. Quite enjoyed blasting across your island in an MH6. Looks just like the real thing (well, as far as I know).

Erm, did anyone ever care to think that maybe the characters in Armed Assault are actually aiming with arms extended, CQB style? I mean, look at the standing animation in the following picture, and compare it to the one you're all having a go at. Animations Ironsights Now, if you imagine the soldier in the first picture simply lifting the rifle to the level of his eyes... like so... remembering full well he already has the weapon pressed into his shoulder (although he's not tucking it back)... Aiming ...then your original sight picture will be almost (note the word almost) exactly as BIS has got it, except for the fact that he seems to have (yes, a pain I know) extended his arms a bit. I think it's fine.
