  1. Hi all. I've searched the FAQs and can't find an answer, so sorry if this is a dumb question.

    I just can't get random civilians/vehicles/animals spawning using the appropriate modules on user maps such as Japahto or Panthera. They spawn just fine on Chernarus/Utes.

    Is there something I should be doing? It gets pretty lonely running around completely deserted islands :)

    Maybe you can ask that question to the makers of the islands?

    seriously I had a small idea that I might enjoy a bit of old call of duty but this seems like it all downgraded so much its depressing.

    Gonna play this at a friends place to see if it is going to be as bad as it seems like..

I would make a coop mission where all the survivors start spread out around the map and have to gather gear like engine parts or spare tires, dunno how i could get it shown that they carry on visually, maybe just have to have a action menu thingy saying take tire and then the mission knows you have a tire on you :)

    Then all survivors meet up and build a escape vehicle or something and then escape the place :)

    This could work somewhat similar to the mod Zombie master that was released for Half-life 2 that then died off i believe but it had a cool setting and the map objectives very much more original than L4D's imo.


  4. In your custom mission folder you should have a file named description.ext where you can change the line that says DisabledAI=0; to 1 and the a.i will be disabled in that mission or at least the A.i that are playable i believe.

    So they will stand there but not move around or something.

    Probably will shoot at your if you get close enough to them, if you have enemy a.i playable soldiers...


  5. There is a lot of dispute about how many shots kill, so i probably will implement a global variable that determines 3 strengths of zombies/infected. So "weak" means 2-3 torso shots to kill,"middle" 5 and "strong" 7 or more.

    I think this sounds like a excellent idea, would be sweet if it could be controlled by clicking out a game logic or using the new module system that arma 2 has. :)

  6. Im not sure there will be a arma 2. I remember hearing the developers saying they wanted to do something less realistic like a fantasy game or so, Im intepreting that as they wanna do they own Rpg game cause of the rpg elements spoken of in the interview i read that in.

    Hey Arma 2 could be like "oblivion with guns" :D

    Imo it makes for variation when shit blows up around or close to your position and not only bullets flying around :)

    I wish JAM pack would make a comeback for arma 2 in a original kind of way, there you could have soldiers that shoot rpg's at soldiers or vehicles or choppers/aircraft :D

    Really made them blackhawk insertions alot more tense if you know you could get a hit from rpg.

    The grass textures on the ground was like half-life 1 quality :P

    And DR is supposed to be a AAA game..

    I really love Arma 2's ground much more cause of all the rocks, grass and bumps in the ground. Im not sure but sometimes I swear Arma 2's ground has even got a normal/bump map applied :D


  9. really awesome stuff in the pack, I especially love the M249's with elcan and acog sights :)

    Nice touch with the custom acog sight :)

    Im wondering if when you update this great pack next time maybe you could add a M4A1 with Acog sights and silencer and m203? I really would love to be able to snipe away with a silenced M4 acog and have the extra backup of a few grenades just in case things get bad. :)

    Other than that its a very decent pack.
