oh really? Would you mind telling me which M4 you think is a SCAR? The FN SCAR is not operational so it would be very unlikely to see it in a training and on the pictures in the thread you linked to, they all use M4's

News from  the "Northern Ireland mod"
Cpt. FrostBite replied to Jimpy's topic in ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
Really nice. I hope that ArmA will feature better urban combat and that you guys will also work on addons for ArmA when it's released. I really like the various unique vehicles used in the NI conflict. -
OFP photography - No images over 100kb - Pictures only, NO comments

*Cough* Talking to the mirror again? *Cough* *Cough* Hope you aren't going to "cuss me out" just like you did with CanadianTerror *Cough* The mods already said something about it which matter is dealt with. This also means you should not continue. What you just did it called flame-baiting and is against the forum rules. An old forum-member like yourself should know better. crappy picture addons; CBT M113's, MAS OH58, BRG Island for terrain pack 4 (I think, not sure about it's name) -

Laser's US Weapons pack v3.0 and Para Rescue pack
Cpt. FrostBite replied to Shadow NX's topic in ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
I love the m249's and the M4's. The desert textures on the M4's are still a bit too dark IMO, but they look very high quality so the dark colour doesn't really bother me. The PJ's are AWESOME. And the HALO scrip in STUNNIG I've never seen such a nice animation script before. Too bad though the shute doesn't seem to be controllable as the one in the FDF-mod, but perhaps this can be done for a future version or update. I totally love this pack! -
This stuff looks awesome Very good. I'm looking forward to this!

Indeed the model is not even close to a G3 (no offence) and would require a lot of work to make it look like one. Editing the PSG1 model is a good start, but the handguard, pistolgrip, buttstock, sights and barrel all need to be changed. The picture posted a few pages back, shows a model that still needs a LOT of work. I think the decission to drop the model for V2.0 of the pack is very understandable and I would not ask Jackel to reconsider (knowing first hand how much work eventually goes into so called 'small adjustments' In the mean time I suggest using NORFOR's G3's which are currently the best out there.

Not flaming, but could all people creating their addons and don't have the name DLEM, please get their stuff out of this thread?? This has nothing to do with the current addon and are peronal modifications that can't be released (unless DLEM gives you permission). So stop jacking this thread! If you want tp create your own modification of these units, than ask permission and start your own thread!

that was me dude And it was a suggestion as to why they use it. It's not the only reason of course. Marpat is for the Marines. SEALs are US Navy. But in the future I think you'll see them wearing Marpat or ACU when operating near Marine or Army units. Otherwize they'll be sticking out and everyone can see they are SF. And that's not good.

@Newleafman Shadow is right. You might also want to contact zigzag, who perhaps had the same problem as you had and seemsto have solved it. Chech out this (now closed) topic; http://www.flashpoint1985.com/cgi-bin....t=51662

GREAT have you also included an F2000? j/k

If I remember corretly a simular question was asked in the troubleshooting section. The simple but effective answer was that it's not the forum software, but a computer specific problem; your own computer to be more accurate. And subsequently the topic was closed.

I believe Canada uses normal metal mags. The Netherlands uses the plastic mags, though. Diemaco is now called Colt Canada btw.

Weren't those used by South-Korean Rangers units?? Correction; That would be the Daewoo K7, but it's not a grease-gun modification; http://www.realitymod.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1567 Grease guns were used though. But the silenced version is the same as the one used by SEALs in vietnam AFAIK.

That was the first thing I noticed when looking at this picture aswell!!! I sure hope it will indeed have two gunpositions. If you read the scanned pages of the interview which can be found on ofp.info, you can read that walking around will be a feature in game 2. I doubt it will be a feature in ArmA, but who knows. But I don't think this is very important. Just improve the looks, performance and remove the engine limitations and than I'm completely happy

Large viewdistance, high detail settings ect ect. For screenshots you normally use higher settings than for normal playing

oh yes, it's a 140mm allright. And indeed the barrel is a bit long, but the long high-velocity barrel on the leopard2 with 120mm round (spain uses that barrel) is not that much shorter (120mm L55 gun). So it wouldn't be a very big change.
-
Germany did some research on a 140mm gun on the leopard 2. There are even some pictures flaoting around on the internet of that beast. The US is looking into rail-weapons for the future. Since the enourmous power-usage this is still something for the long run and is far from ready to be used on the battle-field. The 140mm gun achieves almost the same penetrating power as those rail-guns and it much better than the current 120mm guns. It never made it past prototype state though. Quite a shame since the 140mm gun with it's very long barrel looked awesome! found a picture on my harddisk;

Flashpoint in the Falklands: Dead?
Cpt. FrostBite replied to ofp_fan's topic in ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
No actually im a sergeant in the British Army and i dont like your U.K.F as you like to call yourself's me and a few of my fellow comrades dont think you should be doing that. You want to wear that uniform or even play as a british soldier you should earn the right, the right being, serve as a british soldier and not a virtual one, now i have been reserching these litlle "clangs" only the British ones and me and my comrades are very unhappy about this. So i suggest you come down to Tidworth to see me and my platoon because we would love to meet your team and have a little chat with you. P.S wear protection if you are coming down. Very Upset. Sgt. Jones R.W.R (2nd) Battalion (A)company. Dude, what are you talking about?? This is a game and stuff get's created for it. The fact that british equipment is also being released is because we also like to use that. I haven't seen an american soldier oppose all the american stuff that's being released (or the original contents of the game). People don't 'serve' as a digital british soldiers and even the thought of it is rediculous. They play games and like to play OFP with a group of people. The fact you are now insulting a forum-member and are threathening him is already stupid enough. But that you do so in the name of your entire platoon is an insult to the platoonmembers that know nothing about this and want nothing to do with this! As a sgt you should know better. You show insulting behaviour and you use your status as a Sgt to back it up. I love to hear what you commanding officer has to say about that. Frostbite out
