I had this idea, it may be impossible, but I thought it was interesting.
I have this idea where the game doesn't really need to use anims for people. The AI determines what a model is and isn't capable of performing. By some presets in the model or cfg, a model would determine how far it could move it's legs.
It would use this to be able to move it's arms however far it needs to grab something on the ground or how wide to open its hands to pickup something. Maybe we would even see AI soldiers actually trying to climb onto a tank or into a chopper.
I also see the AI not using a complete "grenade throwing" anim to just drop a grenade down a hole or a light toss through a nearby window.
I also see soldiers carrying their weapons in different ways than the guy next to them.

You do realize that MP5s generally look like MP5s.

I saw the rifle and it looked(To me) like an old US M1 Garand.

1. Make a folder in the base Flashpoint directory.(Name it whatever you want)
2. Make two folders within the folder you just created. One should be AddOns, the other should be Bin.
3. Put the addons you want in the AddOns folder and copy the config.bin from Res\Bin into your new Bin file(Can also use other config.bins like Dyn. Range)
Make a shortcut that should be:
"C:\Program Files\Codemasters\OperationFlashpoint\FLASHPOINTRESISTANCE.EXE" -mod=Modname
Replace Modname with the name of the folder you created and named.

Try redownloading it.
When asks whether you want to Save it or Run, select Save.
You will then be given a dialogue box with the editable filename, filetype and where to save it.
In the filetype box, select ,from the dropdown menu, All Files. Then rename the file XXX.zip.
That should work.

i think someone should make a C130 with the ramp open (fixed) but class it liek a helo (hovering) that way u could at least to a running jump form the plane in mid air to start off missions. just a thought<span id='postcolor'>
Why make it a piloted vehicle?
You could just as easily, make a C130 Object that looks like its flying and then just use the setpos commands on it/player(Did that with the LSD, object version of course, it never came down and it was useful for a mid-air chopper landing)

At the time, Somalia was being fought over by Warlords. Not exactly military...

(Look at the American Revolution for one example)...and you could also look at the VC in Viet Nam. In many (but not all) cases, they were untrained villagers with weapons.<span id='postcolor'>
But those militia groups had used firearms since their birth and you HAD to aim them properly or get killed trying to reload.
The American Revolution?
About half of them were soldiers during the French & Indian War, they passed that knowledge on to others.
VC?
They were under command of the NVA, who in most cases had trained them to fight as soldiers would(In groups) and carry out orders like ambushing a US Convoy.

I'd like to compare the Somali Militia to your standard US "Rob Convenient Store-Bank-Anything-Murder a person every other week-gang related-criminal".
Theres not much difference except weapons and language. The above most certainly wouldn't hit the deck at the first sound of a gunshot.
Oh, and thanks for that "Copy/Paste" thing.

Because it takes months of training to learn to lie down? I've been going prone since i was about 10 seconds old...<span id='postcolor'>
So, you think this Militia force(Half of which are probably high off some drug common to the region) are going to take the time to hit the deck?
That months of training, is there to teach you that the prone position is actually useful. A Militia force doesn't know that or doesn't care to know that.

Thats what respawn scripts or a massive enemy force is for.
Edit: Besides, you'd probably be having such an easy time hitting targets, you would flip the fire mode to full-auto and empty 5-10 rounds into a target, wasting ammo.

Idea
Remove their ability to go prone.(G8 Mod did it with one of their early units)
I doubt if some 83rd rate militia force knows about going prone.

I think those Iraqi Soldier's came with a Desert Island or something like that.
Of course, the first work of a Gulf War mod also reminds me of them...

I believe(My personal oppinion) that Rocket Launchers phased out Anti-Tank rifles because there smaller. The PTRD was about or over six feet long in comparison to any rocket launcher which is about 3-4ft long. Not to mention rocket launchers fire an explosive projectile that is propelled most of the way by fuel.

Regarding the PTRD, not bad. The sound needs work. And 14.5mm rounds aren't explosive. I haven't tried it on anything other than the WW2EC Stug, and you can see it does most of its dammage to the tracks, which is what its really supposed to do, immobilize vehicles.

I'll tell you when you change a line in the CPP called:
"RequiredVersion" from 1.91 to 1.90 so I can play it and it doesn't contradict the readme which states 1.90.

To my knowledge, there is no PTRD made or planned.
Someone's working on a Maxim(More like a heavy MG) and the Nam Pack contains a DshK(A real HMG).

I take it, that the RPG can target aircraft like the RPG-2 in Nam Pack 2.

Upminder's pack will be correct when he fixes that curved bolt on the standard Nagant.
