I have about as much faith in this project as I have in the OICW. In other words, nothing.

All I want is my M14!

Quote[/b] ]Maybe cause the sky is too blue, the land too flat, important OFP features missing (no commanders icons either)Sky- Looks like a Flashpointish sky to me. Although the sky texture may just be a test.
Land to flat- Maybe the place its based off of is flat. Maybe your just looking at flat section while the rest is covered by the viewdistance fog. Maybe its just something so you don't have to show your 50% completed island when you don't want to.
Commanders Icons- Who says he's playing the commander? I don't like playing the commander. Maybe he's playing a single unit without a commander. You notice, only one screen has anything on it, so maybe he doesn't want the screen cluttered up with icons and menus.

Right and notice the people standing in the boat...why are their weapons not on their back? Oh let me guess ...they made a new cargo proxy standing position with their weapons in hand ?Err, yes.
-
Not to mention the firing position looks the EXACT same as the MOH:AA one, and so does the position they are in the boat.Firing position? I take it you've never used a rifle like the Garand before.
Boat? A simple anim that can be modified, and if you notice, the MOH "riding in boat anim" looks just like it does in SPR and most time when you would see a dozen or so soldiers crammed into a floating tin can, they look like that.
I see no one has commented on the realistic running anim.

That surely looks like an OFP ingame screen as it has the ofp "get out" useraction showing and that does look like OFP muzzleflash.
You forgot to mention the M1919MG is in the "Ammo Counter: in the top left corner, and that red puff when someone gets hit.

I do recall, that a Destroyer sat within viewing distance of Vietnam, and supplied constant fire support for the troops.
And i'm not saying we should include a dozen different support craft, just a couple of basics like an Aircraft carrier, Destroyer, and an Amphibious Assault Ship.

Quote[/b] ]The death penalty does not detur crime. This has been studied extensively in the U.S.And ten years in prison does?
Of course, our death penalty consists of sitting on death row for 30-60 years eating food I described earlier. What a harsh sentence, especially when sometimes looking at a trial that lasts ten years.

Who says your gonna put in a whole country or continent?
Besides, what does africa have to do with Naval Warfare?

Quote[/b] ]2. Reeducate the perpatrator so he/she can be reintegrated in to society. This would lead to much shorter prison sentences and has very little if no place for the death penalty. This is wat is practised by some european nations.Who pays to employ the "reeducateors" for the several hundred thousand inmates?
-
What about the death penalty?I am against it as I belive that a punishment should keep the public and the convicted safe (as prison does) and not  just be a form of revenge. Personaly I would prefer death to a life in prison.
But, you forget that Life in Prison means regular meals that are better than what you get out of USMC Mess Tent.
You also forgot, that prison costs money to feed prisoners, build more prisons to accomodate the number of prisoners that will just take up space for the next 70 years, clothing, more food, and other small things that get expensive when its several hundred thousand small things.
And don't even think about releasing thme in order to make room. There was a state here in the US, that released a few prisoners because of cost and space. Most if not all were right back in 2 days later.

The maps would have to be very very big just for a small battle.
Yet, its a nice idea. But I don't think it will be featured because of the enviromentsI thought BIS said they were trying to make terrain have no limit...
500km ocean anyone?

OFP Taiwan has a good M1911, with a working slide. But the unit that comes with it is a civilian...

Quote[/b] ]And where does it state that they are MBTs? in the readme?I never said that you said they were MBTs, its just the general armor values for them which make them quite a bit overpowered.
Quote[/b] ]why would anyone choose a semi auto M14 over the M21 which is more accurate and has a telescopic sight1. Test of accuracy.
2. Why would a basic rifleman carry a sniper rifle?
Quote[/b] ]Is the G36 or the Steyr AUG issued to US troops? because they are there under West MenNo, they aren't. The G36 is issued to German troops if i'm not mistaken, and the Steyr is issued to Austrian troops. BIS just threw them in as extras to play with.

Quote[/b] ]Perhaps firing blanks changes the sound, or M16's really do sound like pop guns?M16s are pop guns.
One of the things I find most annoying in this pack, is that you have all tanks as being MBTs. An M60 Patton is NOT an MBT by today(Or '85's) standards, same goes for the T72 and T55. Another thing, the Mini-14 is not an issue weapon, it is a civilian .223 rifle, it isn't automatic, it doesn't sound like a full .308 M14, it does about as much dammage as an M16, and it doesn't say what the standard M14 has printed on it.
And another thing concerning the M14, is the full-auto. There weren't very many of them in use or made with full-auto. Thankfully, you made it uncontrollable on full, but i fear the AI will start using full-auto unlike an actual solier with an M14.
And lastly, there are no groups! How am I supposed to make a simple two squad battle that has the same units as the BIS groups(10 Man Squad, one LAW/RPG, etc) without spending 8 minutes placing single units?
*Note*I own several somewhat large rifles from WW2.

Laptop on a gun? probably. One of things that always made me laugh at the Landwarrior was that its 2000+ and the thing has a camera thingy from the '80s.
Neat...
The visor looks like it gives information and by the looks of that weapon(No sights), a crosshair.

Just copy the dta folder from your hisky directory over into the DynamicRange folder.
-
Realism as in dammage levels definitely needs fixing. Specifically for the Sniper rifles.
A full sized cartridge like the ones used for the Dragunov(7.62x54R) and M21/M14(7.62x51) should drop a target if you hit him pretty much anywhere.

Sorry?I'm talking about Operation Flashpoint 2, which is still in development, meaning it could not be rated as of yet Â

Well, unless you want to see the "red puff" replaced by a "grey puff", it'll get an M rating.

Dude, you don't need Hypersnap. Just press Print Screen and paste into your favorite imaging program. Like in Mspaint its: Edit->Paste

Quote[/b] ]Perhaps character Geo-mod is more optional (as seen in Soldier Of Fortune series), but with character geo-mod would come a hefty Mature Audience rating no doubt.Flashpoint is already rated "M" by the ESRB.

My specs:
Pentium 4 2.40Ghz
512MB PC1066 RDRAM
128MB ATI Radeon 9700 TX(Dell Only)
120GB HD
I fixed up my Data3D pbo and played Battlefields(The original. with no problems other than the Grenadiers still having the original BIS M16 w/M203.(The M4A1 SD with M203, just wouldn't fit with a regular unit).
Walking on moving vehicles...
in ARMA 2 & OA - SUGGESTIONS
Posted
You should of course still have the "Get In" actions that are associated for small vehicles like trucks, but also the addition of a "Weapon Rifle" action so you or the AI could fire from the truck, and much more detailed animations so you don't just "appear" in the back seat. I don't think you would want to stand in the back of a truck hauling ass across bumpy terrain.
Now for vehicles like ships and large helicopters, the ability to walk or stand on/in a moving vehicle would be nice.
