  1. Quote[/b] ]The real AAV7 carries 21 marines, but they don't really seem to fit in the back ( thanks to the sitting animation... and marines with their legs in someone else his legs looks weird

Well, you could make a new sitting animation/cargo proxy.

  2. US Soldiers NEVER carried Lee Enfields. They may have carried M1903 Springfields up until '42.

As for it being '42, Berlin was not under siege in '42. US Marines did not invade Okinawa in '42. Arnhem was not in '42. The Battle of the Bulge(Y'know, Bastogne) was not in '42. The STG44 was not in '42. Kursk was not in '42.

  3. Whatever. Now, the lack of obvious weapons and my personal favorite of BF1942 hatred, Kursk.

BF1942 contained only British and German weapons. The Japanese and Soviets are stuck with K98s and Lee Enfields as well as an Mp-18. Any firearms collector, can spot the problem here. As well as anyone who played MOH Spearhead.

The Ruskies had one of the best SMGs of the whole time period, the PPsh 41 with a 71 round drum magazine. Why the hell they didn't include this is a mystery to me...

Now, Kursk, the site of the largest tank battle in history up until the Gulf War. Reading MANY historical accounts from both sides, you find that Kursk was a large and open grassland that was used for farming, like wheat and corn. In BF1942, Kursk is a  Pine Forest that even includes a Saw Mill. My exact words were: What the fuck?!

That, my friend, is something everyone knows.  smile_o.gif

Just a second though and enlighten me, what weapons did the Japanese use? I've never really seen any reference to what they actually did use.

    The list:

    Type 38 Arisaka 6.5

    Type 44 Carbine 6.5

    Type 99 Arisaka 7.7

    Type 14 Nambu 8mm(Pistol)

    Type 92 HMG 7.7mm

    Type 99 LMG 7.7mm

    Type 96 LMG 6.5mm

    Type 100 SMG 8mm

All of the above is regarded as "crap" by collectors.

The Japanese also had their share of grenades as well as the occaisonal sword.

I guess your going to ask about Russian Weapons now.

  5. Like Sherman vs Tiger, and lack of proper weapons.

I still don't get how you guys think the Sherman in the game is stronger than the Tiger. I've played both in a sherman and a tiger and both times the Tiger came out on top.

While the game has many retarded points, its still fun.

No one said the Sherman was stronger than the Tiger, but its a whole helluva lot stronger than it should be. Hell, to start with, unmodified Panzer IVs with their original 75mm gun was better than a Sherman. And i'm not even gonna start on the Chi-Ha that was outdated before it was even built.

  6. I believe the jetpacks they used in shows were actually real, but weren't very fuel effecient. Its total flight time was measured in either seconds or a couple of minutes.

  7. Quote[/b] ]I still dont see why you call this the WWII disgrace. I've seen much worse. Odd, you dont bash MOH for its arcade-ness. At least this game has a better balance than most others.

    1. Not a single US, Soviet, or Japanese weapon. And incredibly wrong armor values for tanks(A Sherman can easily beat a Chi-Ha, but it should take 4 Shermans to take on a Tiger).

    2. Moh includes correct weapons and pretty good AI.

    3. Balance? And you play Flashpoint?

Just a note, but the SS9RM mod is pretty good for BF1942. It at least adds a Garand and Carbine.

  8. Quote[/b] ]Maybe if BIS wants to lose a shitload of sales because their game´s restricted for anyone under the age of 18

    My box for Resistance says:

    Mature(17+)

    Blood Violence

Obviously, anything with firearms, explosions, and a red texture that appears when an NPC is shot is rated M.
