I wonder if anyone can offer some quick advice here. I'm rebuilding after being down for almost 2 years. Its why I havent completed any projects on CSM3 at all even for ArmA2. Anyways, I want to replace both CPU and GPU. I have a GTX285 with Intel Quad Core Q8200 x64 with WIn7 which runs about 2.4GHz or so. Will I be ok changing my CPU to my line up of what I can afford: i5 3350p, 3470k, 4670k, or i3 3320, or 4130?. The only thing if I change my CPU I will have to upgrade my MOBO. I have the Gigabyte EP43. This setup is for both ArmA2 and 3. Or should I just change my GPU and my line up would be GTX650ti, 7850, 7770, or 7790 until I can afford another CPU? Or vice versa just change my CPU and use my existing GPU for as long as I can?. Any suggestions? -
I have the same error and it gives me an option " you must install the extra pack to play error" in a DOS window and asked to select 3D or 3D HTML but FFUR never starts. I have 1.99 of OFP installed.

Will this solve the installation issue I am getting? I also have CWA 1.99 installed and I am getting an errror installing FFUR 08. It says I need some pack or such and gives me 2 options 3D and 3D HTML something like that

Hmm, after installing FFUR 08 , when trying to start it it says FFSX ; you must install the extra pack to play... and it gives me 2 options -

Yes I know, I am reinstalling OFP again, after 12 years heh. But I'm getting this messege when installing the Gold Eidition and Resistance; "cannot create files\program files\codemasters\operation flashpoint\ijl15.dll . I tried to restart though my computer will not fully shutdown now, but now I cannot run OFP at all. SHould I install patches at all? And where can I find the patches at since there are no more websites that will carry them, or that I can find? right now i am running it on Windows 7 and Intel Core Quad 64x -

Yes it fixed it , as well as my patience. Actually i didnt install from the disc, this 1.99 is the actual game all addons into one.A big thanks to the genius who created this -

woohoo! it works! so I dont have to install any of the other addons weeeeeeeee!! Oh, but can I install and run the other mods with it? Like FFUR 08 and what's that other mod that features a south African conflict with the Tonali Island and BAS/JAM? -

I have an Intel Core 2 Quad 4 core Q8200 x64, Windows 7 64bit, and im running the GTX 250 with it right now, but it's starting to poop out. Had this build since 2009. My mother board is a Gigabyte EP43 UD3L. Can anyone suggest one I should get to replace the graphics card I have now THAT will run Armed Assault 3 in most or max settings? I know I need to replace the processor soon but for the time being. -

Yep, the direction and dampening they use. Also, I notice gunshot sound is better sounding when in stereo, not mono. My idea for those so inept in getting something close to as what you would hear is going out to the range , fire a weapon, standing back a few feet like 10 or more and have someone else fire it, and remember what it sounded like and compare the sound of what you heard to the recording. 3 and 6 variations featured here of the PKM are the closest to hearing this bad boy in person. All the others are great for other distances and angles and such if it were to be put in a game. I really really wish one of the sound Devs and head of Dev's in Project Reality would check that out. I've always had a hard time trying to reason with those guys. These guys have top if the line, but you can still get a great basic recording with a Tascam palm held dig recorder. It's just the dampening would have to be right to keep the sound pressure from distorting. Great video btw -

Hey buddy, thanks for the props bro, I really need the motivation and you guys are helping me, thnx again. I am trying to make at least , almost all weapons with somewhat a distinct sound each its own. Although, in real life, when firing these weapons without hearing protection, actually, listening whilst standing aside the firer about 15 to 20 feet you will notice that most rifles will sound just about the same, with that sharp crack as you know already. I think the reason why some weapons will sound different from one another on videos is that the mic is recording the reflection the sound off a surface since the sound pressure will not manifest on the mic. I hope I can get this out before ArmA3 -

by any chance, do u have it updated to , or ArmA2 up to date? If so , then that's why. I have the same thing going on that's why I want to make CSM to modular, hence, why I need more help with config. Well, at this point I am trying to finish it, working on the modular version. ugh, it's just so hard to find the time at this point. some real undivided attention time. I pick it up at least when i can but right now what I really need is someone who is good wit the sound configurations. I had 2 other guys helping but they dissapeared on me. One guy, Hellfire , is busy with school. The other I don't know. At launch Iget "requires 1.57". And when selecting a mission and trying to play it tells me " something something has been deleted that it is dependent on and it gives me a list of a bunch of addons or vehicles. I know one of the addons was "Noe" so i assume that is an island. -

ok. here is a lis of what is going on: Shotguns: Saiga and M1014 use the vanilla reload which is the M16 reload. I'm trying to change the "getin" sound for the M2 but can't find the right entry for it. 4x AZP-85 has a weird sound as if the ROF is way way too fast. GP-25 has vanilla sound M1911 has vanilla sound the M8MG or SCAR machine gun has a 100 round ball sack but only holds 30 rounds. I'd like to make a reload sound for the tanks. the UH-1 door gunner has no sound and has sound for the pilot but not for the door gunner or does not sound in 3rd person. the Hydra does not have a consistant sound. It fires 2 at a time but will not sound that way. unless I put a multiple sound to go with it. I'd like to add a configuration for the sound of the Falanga 3M11. It uses the AT5 and Konkurs the AIM-9L Sidewinder has the vanilla sound. Alot of these nuances are hard to find or pinpoint in the config because I can't for the life of me , find where the error is. I can change something that is relative to the shotgun or any one sound, and still it will not do anything.There are a lot more configurations I would like to add to separate the sounds as individual -
