I may be wrong, but wasn't it ITV which showed that documentary? I could swear there was adverts throughout it.

What's your point with that? It doesn't add to the discussion one way or the other.

They are the only country to use nukes on civilian targets, and they sponsor countries as bad as Iraq, as well as impose sanctions on third world countries and having children starve in the streets....... However lots of countries do that. Just the USA isn't a knight in shining armour, that's all.

Someone's probably already mentioned this, but this is where the oil conspiracy theory came about-left conveniently out of the news in the UK at least. Venezuala provides 18% of USA oil. And, a few days before Bush started his vendetta against Iraq, things got bad there. I'm not sure of the politics, but the fact that the USA buys all their oil, their main export, cripples their economy in some way-I might find out if I can find a reference somewhere. So, they're on the verge of civil war and they want to burn down the oil fields-nasty economic crisis on Uncle Sams hands. And then we have.....Iraq. Leader with a criminal record in charge of a country filled with oil. Perfect scapegoat, eh...

I've been stuck for nearly a year on Red Dawn, the final mission on the original campaign. I just don't know what I've got to do-the first time I drove to Guba's house but he wasn't there......and then I went up to the port at north but he wasn't there either.... Please help me!

All right children, here's a merry little song.-you sing along now! Here's a song, not sure if the link works but it's a funny satire on the war on Iraq.

The Russian soldiers have 3 modes for their rifles-they have Full Auto, wheras the M16s only have burst. That could be why they faired better in open combat. A good read, all the same. Do you think that Ofp could be used to test REAL military strategies? Like, the USA could use it to see how their troops would fare in a battle against Iraqi troops. Hey, you never know.

For obvious reasons I haven't read the whole of this thread, and this has probably been answered. But how come the USA is allowed to have shitloads of nukes but nowhere else is? As far as I can see that shouldn't be allowed either, but I'm sure someone can come up with a reason for it. It doesn't matter who uses them, it's impossible to use a nuke on a target without killing innocents, unless it was a secret base in the middle of the desert or something. A nuke launched at NYC and a nuke launched in the middle east will still kill innocents, although admittedly a different number of them. Also, I reckon Bush justs wants the oil supplies in Iraq, but he can't invade because he'll get no support. A lot of terrorists have been Saudi Arabian, Israel disobeys UN resolutions (I'd hazard a guess that the USA does too) and dictators are all over the Middle East. So why exactly do they need to invade Iraq? They even let the weapons inspectors in dammit, I doubt not letting them back was just as a sign of defiance as Saddam is deluded to believe that Iraq is suppressed-but now I'm thinking that he's not so deluded. Superpowers come and go, rise and fall-I think soon will be Americas turn for the fall.

The French thank the French police and anti-terrorists organisations so everyone should BLATANTLY thank the French for there various deeds, but of course we must ignore that the USA and Britain saved the French's ass in WWII, because they didn't do it honourably. **muttering** People these days....bah.... OK.....this has been very successful on other forums, but I'm not sure if it will work on here. It seems like spam, but it's spam reducing. This is where, if you have doen something you're proud of but doesn't deserve a topic you post here. Like if it's your birthday, you passed an exam, you won a competition..........everything like that you post in here. Here is the original version-ok, it sort of went to shit but we can stop that sort of thing happening here hopefully. This topic will probably get closed here as I'm such a new member but never mind-it's worth a try. The original Sol's bar. OH, and for a start for this sort of thing that goes in here- How do I import an image for my avatar? I have one ready but I don't know how to import it.

I was fiddling around with the mission editor and made a mission in desert malden where 3 black op teams attack a military camp at night in a pincer movement, with 3 snipers giving covering fire-I was the sole survivor while testing this mission, and then suddenly the snipers started shooting at me because I was the only USA troop wearing desert camo like the Russians. VERY clever indeed.

You know, if you press "1" and then click somewhere either on the map or on the screen you don't have to go through that irritating "Lee-eft" "Foooorwrawed" "Reverse" "FAAAst" crap-you never really need to use the direction thingies.

Hey, I loved that mission! Just order your men to stay prone on the hill and give you covering fire onto the base whiel you run amok with grenades-you can take out most of the guards this way with surprising ease, and so long as then try and give your most skilled man an RPG launcher you should finish it with ease.

What I WOULD like to see is an unofficial CD which gathered all the unofficial things off the net, and put them on a CD. And then installed them all without doing the annoying extracting files business. That would be great, so long as they change some of the islands to makes them look more, "official." The island by Fat Ninja Kid just irritated me for some reason because of how immature it seemed. I dunno...I just like my OFP to be tidy.
