Well, with hamster, redstorm, black op and nobby gone theres no real motivation to stay at the forums, for me at least they kept the place going and made the whole place generally fun to be in. I can think back and think of all the good times we've had together with all our spam and pissing off mental pete and the mods but now since they're all gone i think the only fond memories i'll get is maybe occasionally getting a pacifist to agree with my theory that country x is right to be ethnically cleansing country y (since the offtopic forum will probably be a major political thread now), but will there be another cereal thread? no. Will mental pete ever return? no. will any more guys like wisdom show up so the forum is plunged into a massive 3 man flame war? no. While the moderators are pretty fair with their rules, except that they have stalinized the whole place, i think that these rules will mean these fond memories will never happen again in some other form. Will the forum ever have a thread involving spam lords fighting intergalatic battles with raw sewage and suicide spamiban, with some hot sarah michelle gellar clones chucked in under the watchful eyes of placebo, sith, hilandor (and whatever mods are left), i doubt it. Even if there was i doubt there'd be many people to talk with in such a thread since those people are all now banned, and i just wouldn't feel happy with a few crazy forum people joining in. All the flashpoint conversations have been done as well, so have all those immensly fun america vs russia vs britain vs france vs germany threads. Many members i enjoyed talking with, the mighty five, sniper, shambler, moleman, pete, L24A, noone, wisdom (aka murda inc), grimreaper...... are gone now, theres still people like nordin, kingbeast, spacealex, avon.... who are a good reason to be on the forum, but with so many of my mates gone, i feel the place will get boring quickly, and so, i can't be arsed staying, watching as the forum gets more and more like the opfn forums. Well anyway, to wrap it up i'd just like to thank: Black op - for being my mighty five compadre and my day of defeat partner, also good friend of course. Hamster - again for being in mighty five, and for being my cs (cheating) compadre Nobby - for being a great guy to talk to about football, and crazy stuff generally, and for being in mighty five and inventing some of the funniest things to grace the cereal thread Redstorm - for being in mighty five, starting the cereal thread, being the co writer of the big USAF piss take comic, and telling me about the wild life a regular dutchman leads  Stealt Eagle, nordin, damage inc - for being great blokes and spamming a lot Erex - for being the coolest OF developer on the forum and for making me that custom wallpaper ages ago Pete for telling loads of stuff i didn't know about all these key issues in the world, and for being a good argument whenever we argued about stuff. And for going mental that was a good time even if it did piss me off back then L24A - for making that trivia thread and being a good argument Murda inc - for being a good competitor in the massive flame war me you and black op had (you fought well even tho against me, black op, nobby and redstorm) And thats all i can think of really at the moment sorry if its overly long its just redstorm said it'd be more dramatic btw - redstorm would like to say theres no hard feelings about him being banned, since he didn't get the oppertunity to say that. and i thought you'd like to know sith - charlie mcsheenie was my other account (i suppose i'll get banned for that now ). I suppose since i'm dishing out all the thanks i'd like to say - i shouldn't have been so graphic and horrible to the mods with that account, its just generally the mood of the time was everyone hates mods so i went along with it. (This goes for redstorm as well btw - except the charlie mcsheenie thing) I'd also like to thank placebo for un banning me, even tho i had to kiss his ass to get un banned  I'd also like to point out that the old forum wasn't the home of sades like many mods would like to have you believe. 2 examples of this - the flame war with murda inc - massive massive flame war that encapsulated a lot of the forums - we have put this behind us and all involved are good friends - the moderators had no input cos they weren't moderating at this time. and pete going mental - we all compromised and both parties were made happy - the spam went (temporarily at least). so i request that the mods get off their high horses and stop slagging off the old forums, since they had no real input into them (even if they did register ages ago). i feel this is fair well, theres lots more thanks i'd like to give but i can't think of much to do now, but if i don't get banned (i probably will since my charlie mcsheenie confession will set the mods off) i'll thank anyone else who has made my time on the forum cool. I just got back into playing opf again and i've completly forgotten some stuff. I'm on that mission where you gotta blow up all those choppers as a spec op, and i've forgotton where the base is located :/ anyone help me?

its not like they run an unprofessional operation down in bos, since they have so much trouble down there people can set up piracy businesses without fear of being busted, so, you can buy music cd's that look and sound like the real thing, even with the books. A ps2 game comes with a dvd box and an immaculately copied cover thing with pictures printed on the cd's. my dad asked the women down there about the black and whiteness and she said the chip is overheating so next time he goes down he's gonna get it replaced, hopefully it'll solve the problem.

Games like silent hill2 and resident evil are unplayable in black and white, but smackdown 3 and legends of wrestling, as well as fifa 2002 are pretty playable if tyou just get used to them (the best games i got from bosnia are in color anyway, such as twisted metal black and pro evolution soccer, which is good ) i think that buying pirate games (and music, and dvd's, and video's, and hardware ) off the bosnians is alright since it just adds to their economy, increasing the amount of tax the government recieve which could go towards paying for a higher standard of living for them poor people besides, pretty much every person in the british army who goes to bosnia does it (at least most of the ones i know) its a very organised system, you can contact a guy in bosnia and ask for a game and he'll bring it back with him on his R&R for example

It wouldn't be profitable to release wave after wave of snazzy, huge requirement games to the public because the market has so many people who can't afford a 2ghz pc with geforce3, so they wait for that hardware to become cheaper so more people can play the game - therefore increasing sales. thats my theory anyway

well, when games like doom3 and unreal2 come out you'll be eating those words just look at games liek sacrifice (which is an old game) and freespace 2 (again - old game) and you have 2 games that can hold their own on graphics stakes. Besides, games like gran turismo 3, burnout and gotham racing suck ass, boring and repititive. by any chance have you seen the new ps2 medal of honor btw? if you have please compare it to the latest pc version in the graphics stakes in fact, compare to wolfenstein as well just for the hell of it. Then compare the ps2 red faction to the pc version racing games aren't what make the pc great, it strategy games, flight simulators such as il2, and of course, first person shooters. racing games suck ass (except gta3, which the pc is getting anyway)

I'll still probably buy one tho, eventually, its just not while there aren't any must have games on it.

only exceptions i've ever found to pcg uk reviews: 1.warhammer darkomen and star wars rebellion actually quite good, although on both those they made a lot of valid points tiberian sun = crap force commander = rubbish deus ex = boring and slow all quakes = naff thats pretty much everything, and i've been a subscriber for years. i think people are overly harsh on them, they are pretty nice guys. On my time on their forums ages ago they were always helping me out with stuff. i even once had a massive debate along with about 20 other with kieron gillen and matt pierce over why limp bizkit sucked/didn't suck (this was back when i only had three dollar bill y'all, i didn't have choco starfish). And just because they gave a BIS game a shite score doesn't mean they suck, because it seems to me this game sucks ass

In case you didn't know already - the palestines dragged the body of an isreali collaborator into some square (where jesus was apparently born) in jerusalum,then loads of palestines cicrcled round his (dead) body and started partying in front of loads of nuns and stuff Ultimatly i support neither side but in this case it just seems the isreali's just retaliate to the palestines cowardly attacks with acts of force using the army and stuff. Its the palestines that truly suck in this as far as i see it, because this has been going on for ages, the isreali's have lost tolerance for their shite and retaliate. If they were just going in and killing all those armed palestines then i'd probably support them but since the palestines terrorists love to surround themselves with their own kids and wifes in the hope they can cry collaterol damage on the isreali then its a no win situation. i think it's best we just leave them alone to kill each other, its not like we can do anything about it, and we don't really have the right to interfere just because we're richer than them. If anything we just make the situation worse by giving them guns, and also by fuelling hatred towards ourselves. We shouldn't feel obligated to ''help'' these people out just because the american government see themselves as the saviors of the world, we all know the american government does EVERYTHING with their own interests the only thing on their mind, so they aren't exactly the global police, so at least other countries shouldn't be following them into the situation, and the americans should pull out of the situation as well and let the isreali's and palestinians slug it out, because with any religious conflict if you throw westerners into the equation it'll just make the situation worse. IMHO anyway. If i went into school and some smaller kid would throw rocks at me all day, i'd probably attack him, maybe not lob tank shells at him, but i'd consider kicking his ass, even if he was a little smaller than me.
