  1. Hi aj! Well, the error message isn't of that much use probably. I'll pm yoy my email address, it'd be easiest if you could send me the cpp file itself. Might just be a matter of internal syntax, I can't really say...
  2. Hey guys, well... there's not much I have to add to the comments placed by my teammates, there's one small thing however... Unfortunately exporting of variables is currently unavailable in this version of the binviewer. Most of the public version of the tool was re-coded to ensure better performance (both for preventing errors and speed improvement). Didn't get round to that feature though... I will continue development and in time this (and other new features) will become available to everyone interested. Either as separate utilities or as added functionality to this tool. Cheers...

    nearestObject

I'm creating a script that searches for the best location for setting up a base. I figured this could be done by moving an object of some kind around on the map (starting at the insert zone) until all conditions for a good location were satisfied. Things to look for could be: - enough cover? - are buildings near? - away form enemy activity? - etc. The nearestObject-command could help me here...
  8. Hi all! I'm working on a script where i need an AI unit to find cover after he has been dropped by helo. I figured i could use nearestObject to find something like a tree or bush, but i can't seem to get it to work properly. I finally got it to return to objects, but they all appear to be different from the ones i need. I don't use the option to return only certain objects, so this shouldn't be the problem. So one very simple question remains: is it at all possible to retrieve the positions of trees/bushes...?
