  1. Well here's the update to my situation,

I finally got in touch with a real person at metaboli through e-mail, they apologized for the corrupted links and sent me new links and guess what?

    same problems different corrupted pbo's

And this time the installer quit's after a crc error, so it's not like my last time where the game fired up but was missing important things.

    I have tried

    Downloading each individual file directly

Dl'ing each individual file with the manager

dl'ing them all at once with the manager

All of these ended up with corrupt pbo's and installations

And I know these problems are not on my end at all. I just reformatted my drive reinstalled winxp32pro updated all my drivers etc.. two weeks back. My comp's running lean and mean.

So now I'm off to send another simply worded polite german email to metaboli to request yet another fresh set of links with the diminishing hope that this time it will work.

I have now been dl'ing and redownloading for 3 days straight trying to get this to work.

It's starting to become my white whale.

  2. Well things haven't turned out too well for me.

Finally got my key and all that but my download must be corrupted somehow, I dl'd twice from Metaboli just to be sure but every time I try to install I get a host of errors about corrupted pbo files.

    Buildings2.pbo

    Characters.pbo

    structures.pbo

    tracked2.pbo

    weapons.pbo

All these are corrupt, I can start the game, I can even get into the editor but all the soliders units are missing and if I try to start any missions or campaign I get a crash.

I know this really isn't the right forum for this but does anyone have an idea for what I should do?

Does metaboli have a support forum?

I have tried to email them today but have recieved nothing but automated responses.

  3. These above two posts are exactly what's getting me on edge.

And all the e-mails I have sent only get me automated responses, I havent got a real person from Metaboli to answer me at all.

14 hours later and not a peep.........

Now I know what wolle said about buisness hours and such but in ethne's case? 4 days without response? come on that's really pushing it.

  4. I understand Wolle. Just for the record I have been very polite in any e-mails I sent I'm a firm believer of mutual respect.

What you said does shed a whole lot of light on the situation for me, this is my first time purchasing anything online like this and I have to admit I'm pretty nervous about it.

I also did not realize that Metaboli may not be a 24 hour service. Good to know.

  5. 4 days after buying from Petergames, No key, no replies to e-mails demanding action and no replies to my request for a cancellation.

Again, I know some of you have not had problems with these guys but my advice is to stay WELL AWAY.

    Eth

Somebody please tell me I didn't just get ripped off:confused:

Is there anything we can do if they don't send our key's? I mean I live in america if worse came to worse do I have any legal rights here considering the dl service is out of germany?

  6. Thank you Hoak I really appreciate the reply.

For now I guess we'll just have to keep our fingers crossed.

BTW has anyone here ever had any expirience with www.game.co.uk ?

According to their site they still ship to the U.S. and they have the ArmA2 preorder up here -> http://www.game.co.uk/PC/Strategy/~r340775/ArmA-II/?s=arma set for release on the 26th.

If this is legit, it may be a really good option for those of us here in the states.

    Any thoughts?

  7. Hello everyone,

I'm fairly new here, only posted a few times but I've been lurking here for a few years.

That being said, I am totally freaking out.

I thought I would just be able to buy this game through amazon.uk but now I find out they no longer ship to the U.S. ??!!!??

    Big Ouch.

I know there are a few digital distibuters claiming they will have it for sale but I for one will never buy something I can't hold in my hands.

So now comes the begging, please please please do any of you fine folks know of any stores in the UK that does still ship to the US?

I don't care what it might cost, I gots to have me ArmA2.

I hereby swear that I will build a golden monument in your honor if you can direct me to said store.

    Thank you

  8. New version? Awsome!!!!

You're doing a really great job with this D Murphy!

I really like the idea of doing missions for $$$

All in all I think this mission is becoming a "Must have"

Have you ever considered using The Cuda's from Sigma wheels addon?

I edited them into your mission for myown personal use and I gotta say there's something almost spirtual about tooling around a post apocalyptic wasteland inmy badass muscle car.

    Food for thought....

Keep up the most excellent work!

  9. D.Murphy man,

Wonderful mission!  I have been waiting for a mission just like this! It's things like this that makes Arma really special.

I just have one request, would it be possible to add some friendly units to the weapon smuggler?

I often play single player, and as of the latest version it is just too hard to sell things at the smuggler.

I often only have time to sell one item before I get mobbed by zombies and have to fight my way out.

The last time it cost me a very expensive MH-6 which I worked hard to get smile_o.gif

Once again though, excellent work! I just can't get enough of the zombie/survival.

Edit: Oops, I forgot to mention when I played the new version in single player there was an error with the bank script.

Most likely because of the changable starting money added in the new version.

Is there anyway I could fix this on my end? If you have the time would you mind releasing a single player version with a set amount of starting cash?

    Thank you!
