Oh, nice! :) Yeah, but if I overclock that much, I will probably need to buy a better cooling system right? Or will stock cooling do the work? :S

Hello, been a while since I either have been here on this forum or played Arma II. The reason is because my old computer (Geforce 9800GT, E6600 2.6Ghz and 2GB RAM) just wasn't enough. It ran fine singleplayer, but as soon as i played online the FPS flew down to around 20. I had enough and pretty much threw the game to the ground. But! Now I am back, with a new computer, and as it was a long time since I had an eye on how the hardwaremarket looked like I'm not up to date. The new computer is: i7 930 2.88Ghz, ATI 5870HD and 6 GB RAM with Windows 7 64. I haven't recieved the parts yet for me to be able to test the game, so I ask you guys here. Will multiplayer still make me want to **** something up? Will this system be able to run this game online (coop) without 20FPS at the lowest settings possible? I've paid around 1500 USD for this computer, so I rather hope so! Best regards, Borg. EDIT: If i'm at the wrong topic, please, spank me.

Whatsup! Our band Suicide Chapter just released our first song ever. It's called Bones Held High, and of course, it is about war. It's about the people at home waiting for their husbands, fathers or whatever who's serving in the military. www.myspace.com/suicidechapter Take a listen to it! :) If by any reason someone wants to use it for a video, mod or anything related to operation flashpoint, or ArmA (1 & 2), just contact me and I will send you the song! :) Have a happy new year everybody!:)

Thank you very much! :) No, Im not from UK, I'm from sweden! ;) About the mix, yeah, the drums are too low, the song isn't actually fully mixed. We're recording some more songs right now, and when the whole EP is done it will be mixed properly. :) Again, thank you all! :)

Uh ok, then there is not much for me to do, as I do not have the money to buy new parts for my computer right now. Let's hope the patchez do their work.

While playing SP missions, lets say the SecOps my framerate is around 40 to 60. WHen joining mp missions my framerate drops to 19-25 fps, no matter what graphicsettings i use. Why is this? GeForce 9800GT Intel Core2Duo E6600 2.4Ghz. 2Gb Ram.

ArmA2 1.03 Impressions - ALL Impressions/Videos/Screenies Here
Borg replied to Placebo's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - GENERAL
I bought ArmA2 yesterday, played it the whole night. I have played OFP since the beginning and ARMA, and now I can honestly say that ARMA2 is the best one yet. And with TEH PATCHEZ it will be even better! The only complaint I have is the performance and some things in the campaign that just goes weird. Played the SecOp mission in the scenarios. It's so much fun! I also saw how improved the AI has gotten. Ex. They reported movement in the forrest and then they changed the "direction" of the formation so that they would be facing that area, even when I hadn't ordered them ANYTHING! I read somewhere that people are complaining about not being sure if the medic will help you or not. That is not the case for me, they always show up. even if I don't give them the orders. Combat has been improved too, somehow it creates a bigger sense of unawareness and danger. Just too bad my soldiers kill all my enemies before I do! I want to shoot some too! -
Hello everyone! I'm playing the demo right now as I have not bought the full game yet. Planning on buying it tomorrow actually, but first: The performance difference between the Demo and Full game, how big is it? I'm playing at normal/low/disabled settings with GeForce 9800GT, C2D E6600 2.4 Ghz and 2GB ram. I think it's kinda' funny as I play ArmA with full settings without any lag at all, but ArmA 2 looks even WORSE and it still lags! :S The graphics looks really silly actually.. the trees look like OFP trees.. x) Also, will the game run smoother if I OC the C2D E6600 from 2.40Ghz to around 3.2Ghz? If so, will I need some better cooling system, or will it be ok with the standard cooling system?

Yes, I am experiencing this on Windows XP. Geforce 9800GT E6600 2.4Ghz 2GB RAM. It's really REALLY annoying. For example when I'm running in the woods it's really hard to control my movement as the "cursos" moves too far away when turning because of the lag. I don not see any reason to have this feature in this game, it only makes you less excited to play it.

Yes I have, and I have tweaked everything else in the Nvidia CP. -

I'm playing with this machine: Geforce 9800GT 512mb. C2D E6600 2.4Ghz 2GB DDR2 RAM. And I have almost every setting on low or very low. Im sick of it, how can this be? I played ArmA1 on very high, and now suddenly ArmA2 looks WORSE than the first one. Also the framerate is around 40-30ish, but I experience really bad mouselag inside forests and such. Any thoughts about this? And last but not least, Im thinking of OCing my C2D to 3.0Ghz, will this make difference? Do I need to buy new fans for this? -
I'm not sure if it has to do with bigfoot, but I was running around adoring the landscape. I opened up the map and saw a marker on the map, aprox 100 meters away from me which said "? VEHICLE", and it moved. So I was like "WTF?!" and i thought of bigfoot. I made sure the gun was fully loaded and on full auto, and then I started sprinting towards the marker on the map. When I reached it, the marker was gone but I kept looking around in the forest. Then suddenly a f***** rabbit shows up at my feet and I just look at it and thinks "Whaaaaat is thaat?". Then it took of running! :D

I'm on a: Nvidia GeForce 9800GT 512MB Intel Core2Duo E6600 @ 2.6Ghz 2GB DDR2 RAM. And when playing this game I'm having all setting except Texture and Aniostropic on LOW! Texture and Ani is on Normal/High. And still i get bad FPS when playing missions. It's really silly, as i play ArmA1 on Veryhigh/high. Let's hope it gets better optimized. Everything is also very very blurry. Miss the good old AA. Fillrate is F**** up, if I may express myself like that... Completely worthless. Although, if the graphics gets fixed (Actually they are worse now than in ArmA1), this game will be a monster of a game! :) -
Idle animations, will they be more random?
Borg replied to MehMan's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - SUGGESTIONS
Yes idle animations are really important to add immersion to the game. Like if you have your squad in a sitting position in the woods, it would look so great if they would scratch themselves, correct the helmet on their head, and changing sitting position a bit as its uncomfortable, checking the time. And depending on the situation (Orders like; stealth, or safe/careless), they should be doing different animations. If you have told your squad to go stealth, they should not do any animations except the normal ones (looking around). A soldier in careless mode could be smoking, singing or talking. Maybe pick something from the ground. You know what I mean. Sorry for going OT here but I can't controll myself: The animations IN COMBAT are REALLY important. When people get shot they shouldn't just stand there, and then just fall over. I've noticed that when your teammates get shot they fall to the ground holding the wound now in ArmA2 (this is good, but can be improved) Make them fall over, SCREAM for help. Make it feel like they really are shot. Make the player really feel compassion for their mates, so that we will feel like "Damn, I have to save him, he's in a lot of pain!" A bit of blood wouldn't hurt either, just to make it feel like real war. It's a simulator right? And the people who don't like it could turn it off in the options menu. Also the unarmed people should do something rather than just standing there like a doll. Just making them crossing their arms sometimes would make them feel more alive. Also now when the missions are about saving civilians, its important that they make the civilians be more "alive". Saving dolls are not making us feel like we've accomplished something. -
The Crate 2 - an Armed Assault movie project
Borg replied to [GLT] Legislator's topic in ARMA - GENERAL
Looking good ! :) Looking forward to watch this movie! :D -
Yes, this is a problem I have too. No lag at all, just pure "mouselag", where the movements are delayed some 0.1 seconds or so. EXTREMELY annoying.

What are these Babies and Can we Play with them
Borg replied to rusty75's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - SUGGESTIONS
When I saw the scud missiles i cried a bit inside. Why, oh why are people allowed to have those weapons? One button and thousands of people die. -
I've installed the "mod", but I get the error: Kegblablbalbal somthing requires addon 'Sara_db1'. YES, I have QG installed! :S Tried installing the PROPER mod, it works, but I do not see any difference in FPS.. still having mouselag when looking at trees and bushes... Please help :)
