I have been playing this game on and off I don't know 2 years and I think it's the best game ever. But my brother still thinks Counter Strike is My point is that if you look at stats of who's playing which game at any time of the day and you can see that Counter Strike 10 or 12 years later is still at like #1 What does this have to do with Bolstering this game? This game could have a counter strike feel to it if we made good templates for mission makers Rescue the hostages, stop the bomb and buying the guns based on your last round also new maps with the same templates so as they changed rounds it had some variety. It is in every players interest as well as the developers to want this game played more often and by more people I think any serious effort made to mimic a game like this with ummmm way better graphics would do very well here. Lets not leave off the score at the end of each round very big for the counter strike player. I started another thread earlier about downloaded content and many of the folks there feel that the developers are making smaller maps to cater to the run and gun gamers and trying to bring them over. I think if we could start producing some good buildings warehouses a sewer system other areas within our large cities. What Arma 2 offeres in a map is fantastic and should never be changed but it can be stretched and improved by bringing in other city elements like a sewer system or many buildings that would bring on lots of close quarter firefights. I mean there aren't really any games out there that have the space that this game has if we could bring the short game in and make it good as well as keeping the long game well then you have something that no other game has really. I hope the others are wrong and that BI is not leaning that way to these tiny maps that aren't good for much. However if you have other ideas that you think would make more people want to play this game or try it I encourage you to share these thoughts because again it is in all of our interests to see it happen.

There were 5000 people playing counter strike the other day and 500 playing Arma, Let me be clear I don't like counter strike, I don't like domination either but its good for this game. You can look at my suggestion and say that it is your personal opinion that Arma be played this way or that way, But lets be honest the more people that play Arma the more money that's made and hopefully the better product we continue to get. I would like to see this game continually evolve. Without a Strong user base that wont happen

In terms of editing this last expansion didn't give us the map to use or the buildings did it? Outside of a helicopter and a SUV a couple of Models there's not much to it for editing? Or am I all wet here? -

Well I just watched a few videos on how to use this and I got my finals tomorrow so hopefully tmrw night I will actually start to enjoy this it looks really nice I am so glad to have this.

I am not making the connection but the RTE now shows up and launches I wasn't sure about the DLL file from the JayArmA2Lib I installed the addon folder as I would any other addon and the dll is prolly in the route and the addon folder cause I wasnt sure where to put it.

The update feature reads no update available and I am running windows 7, any chance I can just get the contents of the RTE folder and do a manual install? Yeah still no RTE folder

I still dont get the RTE to install the RTE Capture does and I can run my settings the same as the pictures I see however it doesnt see the @RTE Folder which is in the right directory but there's nothing in it.

OK I am going to install this for use of the RTE however I have no idea of the effects this has on the normal game is it going to affect me in other ways Im unaware of?

I have most of boot camp done and I have to say its been really good however I cant get the Unmanned airplane to work I got the little bird to go up and it was really cool but the airplane isnt working any ideas?? I heard it was bugged when first released but was under the impression it was fixed?

How to use the 3d Editor. [Tutorial]

So as we do this say we go in and place down a base and some units we don't have to do any importing? we are good to go? Then we can go into the 2d editor and plan out triggers and such? Can we flip back and forth easily? -
It doesn't seem to load screen just stays black and the chopper took awhile to load to but this never seems to come out of the black screen.

I think the next one should have a useable map I was thinking we were going to get a new island all we got was a lawn and a gas station. I love this game but that just not looking like a map wheres the map that the campaign takes place on I only played a minute or two of it so far but it sure dont look like proving grounds map.

I want to say that I think that the down loadable content is a great idea and I understand that there is a lot of apprehension with it because there are a lot of companies that might have features within the game that should go to all players, For instance in your patch that's coming out with the military company campaign it lists that there are game engine improvements. To me Personally I think game engine improvements should be a patch and not down loadable content. I love the idea of down loadable content and will buy all of it I like the idea it keeps you involved in the game However I must be clear on this point what keeps me playing your game and keeps me so interested in this game is the fact that You allow your game to be easily modified by the modding community without this feature of your game I would not like it, So as long as the modding stays the way it is and it is kept easy for our modding community then I love down loadable content I just hope that you guys at Bohemia Continue to make modding easy for our community and keep adding new content to it. "But Engine improvements for all please" !

I asked a question in the mission editors forum and I think I should have asked here. I want to know if AI can see through grass and trees? Are they of any use in CO-OP missions for hiding and or cover? I was also interested in if they aren't by default is there a values that can be given to the addons that are available for bushes and things can they be strategically placed and have a values added that does make them where you are able to hide? Thanks in advance if anyone knows?

I got to say when I saw that new island proving grounds I was totally disappointed what is it exactly its totally barren? I dont follow the logic there? the campaign is nice looking and then you get grass with just about nothing else for the editor?

I have heard from people on occasion that AI can see through the grass where we can't? I want to find out if it's true ? Also if it is True, When we place bushes with Different addons is there a way or a code that we could add to an init line if bushes even have an init line that the ai couldn't see through it? I just want to know what the AI can and can't do and do everything possible to keep it as real as possible. I also want to stop hiding in grass if they don't see it.
