    CMF_Units = Canadian units

    I use these units under ACE mod, there is no problem with them so far. Changing the ACE conf may be the solution.

    FFN MOD

    I had a weird thing when I tried the SP_replacement. When a fellow soldier was wounded, and the medic went there to help him, started to treat the wounded, but the others from my side started to coup de grace the wounded man...looked very annoying...maybe some glitch with the ACE mod?

    Usually I'm staying clear of sound mods, because generally I don't really like the sounds some making, but this one definetly worth download, it will be on my hard drive for a very long time. I like the new sound of the weapons, the AK-47's sounds are my very favourite, you feel the weapons sheer power from the sound If I might suggest one thing, can the M249 sound be made a little sharper, like the sound of the SAW from this vid (from GK) at 5:45. Not the same sound neccesarily, but a little bit more "woodpecker"-ish

You're right, there might be over seventy-thousand-eighty-two variants of weapons if you would listen to every petitioner for new weapons and variants, and I understand you don't wan't to waste your time to make new models for every M4 with the laser sight on the other side of the rifle I was just curious about it, because I'd love to see the M16A4 with EoTech and top-railed G36s with grenade launchers and diffferent sights. Of yourse you shouldn't rush to make 24 new weapon variants for only one man's request, if I don't have them, I will still survive this horrible loss Anyway, I can still do it myself, I'v heard putting different parts onto guns is just some kind of copy-paste procedure, and is not very hard to do. If I figure it out how to do it, then I will ask for permission from you to make some new wep models. Other: the chevron of the Cobra sight is very dim for me, and it's barely visible when I'm looking at some objects. Other other: in the mission editor, some addons that works with the mod are invisible in the editor's list. For example SchnapsdroSel's mercenaries are working fine with it, but the civilians are not. I've put some of his civvies onto Rahmadi in normal ArmA, then I've started ACEmod, opened the mission, the civs were there. When I move the cursor over it, it writes "Civilian1(City)" and when I click on them, the character class shows "Iraqi civilian 1". And this is the case with some addons, they can be played in the mod if they're already in the mission, only they are not listed in the editor's unit placing window. Not whining only reporting
  5. The mod is just getting better with every update, you gentlemen make a superb job I really like the new M16/M4 models. Just a question, are you planning you make more weapon modifications? Like M4s, M16s with EoTech, G36s with grenade launchers, M16s with vertical grip to be specific...

    The sound replacement doesn't seem to work for me, I have the vanilla weapon sounds. Did anyone else had problem with that too?

    ArmA Addon request thread

    I would like to ask someone to make a "project Nogova Army"-reskin. We have Modern Nogova troopers, which have infantry, BMP, BRDM and MH-6, wich I think is not too much. My idea is that it should be like the armies of Poland and the Baltic states; weaponry and equipment mainly changed to NATO and US stuffs. Here's a list of ideas:-Armor: Leopard 1A5(maybe 2A4) M60A3 T-72 ZSU-23-4 -APC/IFV: BMP-1 BTR-80/90 M113 Sisu X-360 -Cars: Ural UAZ HMMWV Landrover Defender -Helis: UH-60 Mi-24 Mi-8 SA-330 Bell 206 UH-1 NH-90 Eurocopter Tiger These are existing addons, of course I have ideas for non-existing (or WIP) ones, like T-55, PT-76, A-129 Mangusta, UNIMOG trucks, Warrior IFV, 2S6 Tunguska, etc...But I don't want anyone to make them, just to reskin existing ones, if it isn't too much of a job.

    Also I found that default BIS M1A1s main gun is a bit stronger, it takes out CH T72s with one shot, while CH Abrams has to fire 2 shell to completely destroy them. I also tested both Abramses on 343rd Badgers russian tanks, and on some occasions BIS Abrams destroyed a T80UD with one shot, while with CH it took 2, rarely 3 shots. If it's a deliberate feature to balance the game, then please assume I didn't say a word

    Hey, nice to see the tanks reached 1.0 status. I don't know if it's a bug or not, but AI Abramses do not engage any flying units, not even after a direct attack order. If I order the gunner to target the chopper, it does only when I switch to the main gun, with the aux M240 it just turns the turret in the direction of the heli, but does not elevate the gun to it.

    No Army?

    If I remember well, the first units in Afghanistan were marines in 2002 (not counting the special forces). Over the times they proved their value in many different conflicts. Maybe they have a lot of media attention, but the 82nd and 101st airborne has their own too, as well as Army Rangers, Green Berets. I didn't hear less glorification about these units than the marines, or about fow example the French Foreign Legion. I think the idea behind that there will be marine units in the game, because each MEU is like a little "joint ops" armed force. They have their own infantry, recon, spec ops, armor, artillery, air force and logistics, all under one command. I think that justifies that a pure Marine force is representing the West. Altough I admit the 82nd airborne is an excellent fightint force, and I'm sure their value as individual soldiers are on level with the marines, but on their own they are only light infantry. And also the Marines won't fight on their own, they will help the Army of Chernarus.

    It's BIS default bug and only on player controlled characters. It's fixed in SLX mod (and maybe in ECS but I'm not sure) Anyway good work, you brought some more quality to the game

    Uhm sorry, I tought it was a deliberate feature. I mean that when I put a group of 6-10 or any of them grouped, they didn't stand up in normal formations (line, echelon, wedge...), rather they were standing in a disarrayed manner around me, wich is I think better for a group of one-time civil unresters than seeing them walking around like a group of trained soldiers.   19. Since I didn't find anything about it, the last resort is for me to ask it. I remember in OFP one could change the name of the base in a mission (from the deafult Papa Bear call sign). I can't recall what was the command for it, neither I know if it can be done in ArmA. Is it possibe to change/set the name of the HQ?

I just hope that the honorable addonmakers don't overtake themselves, so that they get upset one time with some things they can't achieve, get fed up, and the addon never makes it to publicity. So for me, I will welcome this work with or without any special features, if it will be able to fly and transport some footsluggers on the field, I will be completely pleased. PS: sorry if you felt a bit offensed, I didn't mean. Please don't take these kind of comments too seriously from me, I just have a way of showing the other side of the coin. Regards!

    On behalf of me myself and I, I say it would be cool to have the chopper just in its pure existence already, rather than being delayed because of building in a lot of negligible features as openable cockpit post trap-doors, animated LCD displays in the back of the pilot's headboard and usable Xboxes for the passengers (Sorry no offense I just couldn't let it pass ) Tack-Up good to see you still on the front, and I hope you won't get delayed with building in fancy but generally unnessecary features .   23. Hi folks! I have some theoretical questions First I really searched after it I swear but couldn't find anything alike Is it possible to make some script to force a group of AI firing "from the hip" in full auto without any proper aiming? I made some missions when I'm up against gun-slinging civilians/bandits/any other unorganized armed bunch and I think it would be good to have something to make them a bit "unprofessional". I tried SLX mod and it has a similar feature (AI has high dispersion and goes stressing when under intense fire ectect...) but in that mod I cannot set up a skirmish with more than 8 units per side because the dust and smoke they making makes the game going into a comic  (I also don't really like the high armor value - funny to see an "unarmored" man takes five shots in the chest to get brought down with a rifle from 50 meters  -anyway love the mod ) so I decided to live a little longer without it So what can I do if I want to see an unprofessional group act unprofessionally - firing full auto while running without hitting the lake they are standing in, almost always ignoring getting into cover, making amateur mistakes and so on - while my side's doing their job as trained grunts? I just thought it would be fun to see the difference when you fighting against weekend rebels or die-hard specnaz.

    not a bad idea maybe I can silence some cry around Ok for those still getting the message: "No entry '@SLX\bin\config.cpp/CfgVehicles/M1Abrams/Turrets/MainTurret/Turrets/CommanderOptics/ViewGunner.initAngleY'. The game needs a beta (wether it's 1.09, 1.11 or 1.12) installed on Arma, and you have to write into the shortcut's target line the next: -mod=beta;@SLX +any other mods you want to use...but the beta is neccesary to eliminate the error message With this you won't get the error message again, I've just tested it Have a good one!
