yeah! it is Train Master!
I have seen the videos. wish it is a MSTS2

Actually, there will be FOUR Train Simulators in the next year. Â I have it on the best authority that Train Artisan Train Simulator is still in development, and from what I saw last year it looked excellent, and had a good multiplayer feature too.
I remember games such as "iPanzer 44" and an Abrams game - the guide books were so thick I could have kept warm all winter burning them!!

The FAQ
Quote[/b] ]...
7. Who is to say, Operation Flashpoint is one of our alltime favourite games, and to be considered in the same league as it is a great honour, we are inspired by it and how it plays, and aspire to create our own unique game with the knowledge of it in our mind. At the moment I would say Operation Flashpoint is the closest , Hidden and Dangerouse (1&2), Soldiers : Heroes of WW2 and Total War Series would be our key influences ant what we aim to achieve is a blend of gameplay inspired by those titles.

A unique, out-of-the-ordinary military commando is on the prowl on the Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon 3 stand. Just for E3, he is equipped with real, ultra-modern military prototypes. The camera he is hooked up to is linked to a giant screen on the Ubisoft booth, giving fans the feel of actually being in the soldier’s boots.

FCS and its videos

http://www.globalsecurity.org/militar....#58853;
http://www.globalsecurity.org/militar....#58853;
Quote[/b] ]From the recruitment tool America's Army to actual training tools that have been turned into games like Full Spectrum Warrior and Close Combat: First to Fight, it's clear that creating games for the military can also turn into commercial ventures. Developer Zombie (Shadow Ops: Red Mercury) has been working on a new game called Future Force Commander that was first developed as a training tool and is now being developed as a commercial game. Gamecloud got a chance to chat briefly with Zombie's John Williamson to find out more about their plans for the game.
Gamecloud - How did the idea for Future Force Commander (F2C2) come about? Did you approach the US Army or was it the other way around?
John Williamson -SAIC, one of two FCS Lead Systems Integrators (LSI), came to us. The U.S. Army’s Future Combat Systems project is highly complex and difficult to explain. SAIC wanted to create an exciting game product that would help to convey how FCS will work on the battlefield when the system is fully deployed in 2012-2015. Their intent is to engage the ultimate beneficiaries and users of FCS: young, junior Army officers. Companies typically do this through passive, 20th century vehicles like pamphlets or videos. SAIC was very innovative in that they sought to create an interactive, 21st-century game simulation.
Gamecloud - How would you describe the ultimate goal for the simulation?
John Williamson -The ultimate goal is to give the user real insight about FCS operational capabilities. FCS has myriad systems, each of which has unique capabilities. These stand-alone capabilities will be demonstrated in the game. More importantly, however, the game will show how all of these systems operating in tandem can create a force multiplier beyond anything that has ever existed in the battlespace. This is truly cutting-edge stuff; it’s very exciting.
Gamecloud - What kind of game and gameplay would you use to describe Future Force Commander?
John Williamson -It is an RTS, but with a few unique differences. Most games develop a total “fog of war.†This is military-speak for mass confusion on the battlefield. There’s so much going on that you lose track of who’s who; you no longer can distinguish friend from foe. Friendly fire casualties can and do result. This has become a growing problem in modern warfare, which is increasingly complex and multifaceted.
These problems can occur in F2C2, but they shouldn’t -- and if they do, you likely will lose badly. The intent is to use the new systems at your disposal to avert and avoid the legendary “fog of war.†You basically use your vehicles, troops, and sensor arrays to track the enemy -- just as in the real world. However, there should be no friendly fire incidents because, thanks to F2C2, you ought to have full “blue†situational awareness.
The game essentially enables a skilled player to track all allied and enemy movements. For example, in 3D mode you can get a real-time video feed from any unit at any time. Even in Map mode, where most of the game will be played, you have unprecedented access to data -- including 3D terrain data, line of sight, time of flight, etc. -- and the ability to manipulate that data. F2C2 plays more like Harpoon than Act of War or Empire Earth 2.
Gamecloud - Why do you believe such simulations are needed in today's military?
John Williamson -They allow rapid prototyping done with breakneck speed on concepts that are too complicated to design any other way. They are an amazing marketing tool and also an amazing learning tool. That’s why simulations are playing an increasingly prominent role in militaries worldwide. They have tremendous value.
Gamecloud - Are there any plans to create a more commercial version of the game?
John Williamson -We are talking to several publishers about that. Depending on the deal we can broker, the commercial version of F2C2 likely would have several changes and enhancements. Much depends on the release date. We would like to make F2C2 a multiplayer game, add a mission editor, and allow for conflicts over a wider range of countries. Ideally, the version we made for SAIC would be included in the commercial version.
Gamecloud - Finally is there anything else you wish to say about Future Force Company Commander (F2C2)?
John Williamson -It is an amazing system that will move the Army into the 21st century. The Army aims to achieve ground supremacy, much as the Air Force already has achieved air supremacy. The U.S. Air Force truly rules the skies; no one dares to challenge them. But as we’re seeing in Iraq and Afghanistan, our ground warriors are being challenged daily. F2C2, with its new weapon systems, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), robots, state-of-the-art ground vehicles; etc., will help to avert many of the types of attacks that are killing our troops today.

VBS2â„¢
Quote[/b] ]The VBS2â„¢ System Description
The VBS2â„¢ system offers realistic 3D simulations and the ability to operate a myriad of land, sea, and air vehicles across vast terrains. Instructors may create virtually any imaginable scenario and then engage the simulation from multiple viewpoints. The advanced company/platoon/squad-management system enables participants to efficiently issue orders to company/platoon/squad members as well as coordinate both lethal and non-lethal tasks, rescue missions, and coordinated efforts.
The VBS2â„¢ system allows free play within scenario-based training missions. It also incorporates real-time simulation of wind, rain, fog, clouds, time-of-day, sunrise, sunset and tides.
I think BATTLEFRONT might be the publisher, who knows.

OMG -Control a platoon??!!
Quote[/b] ]The game will ship with an American campaign, like the first game. The campaign will actually ship with three specific chapters, or essentially three different campaigns. The player will start out as a USMC private essentially playing the game as a grunt out in a combat environment. The second chapter will have the player play a 'mid level commander', essentially a platoon leader controlling a small group of men in battle. The third chapter will have the player play as an SF detachment officer, essentially doing all the deep secret hoorah stuff.
The game will be a little different with its control of soldiers than the original OFP. This version is planned to have the individual control groups of troops (teams or squads) more than individual soldiers. How this is going to work I am not totally sure but it looks like the higher you go up the chain the more control you will have over groups and the less you will have control over individuals. This is a nice touch since a company commander would rarely, if ever, send individual soldiers out to do the mission. Instead he or she would instruct the platoon leaders to perform a task and then let that individual leader perform the mission. You get a feeling of command that will actually be put into the game. If the game pulls this off it will be a first.
