The latest TDG: http://www.mca-marines.org/Gazette/0105tdg.html Tactical Decision Game #05–1 Bound for Trouble by Paul Turnan What is your solution? -
haha, it has that funny (but quite common) engine that makes soldiers' legs "click" into consecutive staircase steps. I get this impression too in Far Cry: it's like the characters are hopping from one static animation into another. game itself looks interesting though. hehe, I wonder whether you have seen this America's Army movie, Marines' legs and Army SF's look quite similar http://tscholastique.free.fr/DeltaFr....sh).wmv

I often play it as a ultimate RTS (F5 key) , actually, you can control infantry and vehicle units; With the powerful editor/planer, you can command OPFOR units Btw, if you like M1TP2, you will love SB. I hope the developer will improve the soldiers appearance.

I think Battlefield II and Brothers in Arms have learned more from OFP... Btw,will BIA be more realistic than BF2 ? http://www.f7c-network.com/data/media/256/bf2_7.jpg http://www.f7c-network.com/data/media/256/Daqing_Oilfields03.jpg Cheers! bop

too arcadic and reminds me of the action GAME, Red Alert Close Combat is still the king of pure military RTS.
-
None of these WWII shooters such as COD, MOHAA has a mission editor or good planer.. NONE!(Hidden and Dangerous is uneditable ) Why? because current ones are only arcade games just for fun killing? because there is no WWII based infantry sim except OFP WWII addons in the world now? I hope Brothers in Arms will be a WWII OFP, but I don't know what will its developer think ... To be a pure action shooter or to be a great military simulator, that is a question...

Did he watch "the ring" video or something? lol,but sorry,my pilot, the photos are edited by somebody...you know military...

Now it works after my editing Some years ago: Falcon 3 turned into Falcon 4; 1942PAW turned into European Air War ,and Strike Fighters by "TK" today; Gunship...->M1 Tank Platoon 2/Gunship! It looks your flight games (including classic Fleet Defender) are all from Microprose But MPS is history ...

I have never played Illusion's Vietcong. I want to know if VC has the same good tactical control/tac simulating (or a tac map) as Hidden and Dangerous? http://image.com.com/gamespo....008.jpg I needn't a pure so-called "FP SHOOTER", so I want to know if it is a land combat sim(tac sim) or not, just like OFP(AA,GR,HD,FSW,BiA) type ps,the Desert Storm series are too horrible edit: please check image file size before posting. limit is 102400bytes

http://www.fpscentral.com/index.php?game=11&site=news&id=7422 ------------------------------ Posted By: residuel Tuesday September 28, 2004 at 1:09 PM EDT EnLouise has sent us word of a new licensing agreement with Digital Illusions. The Swedish Defense program has made a deal with the developers of the Battlefield 2 technology so they can use it in training programs. Here are all the details: The Swedish Defense licenses Digital Illusions’ technology Digital Illusions CE AB (publ) 2004-09-28 Digital Illusions has sold a development license for the Battlefield 2 technology to AerotechTelub. AerotechTelub will use the technology to power simulators used in the Swedish defense training programs. The agreement has an initial value of SEK 4 m. The Battlefield 2 game is a first-person shooter game taking place on the modern-day battlefield. AerotechTelub is purchasing a development license for the technology powering the game with the intention of developing training simulators and demonstration facilities for the Swedish defense. - Licensing technical platforms to a third party is a great source of additional income for Digital Illusions, especially as it doesn’t require substantial effort on our part. We chose to license to a party outside the gaming industry in order to maintain our competitive edge in the games area, says Patrick Söderlund, CEO at Digital Illusions. - The fact that the Swedish defense industry will use technology developed by a Swedish game developer illustrates the strength of Digital Illusions. Developing a similar technical platform would be very costly, and by licensing a commercially developed product we hope to help the Swedish defense in training new talents quicker and thus save money, says Jörn von Treskow, Business Manager at AerotechTelub The agreement includes a development license worth SEK 4m. The license also includes a minor license support function. AerotechTelub chose the Battlefield 2 technology because it enables simulation of large geographical areas. It also gives the player the possibility to co-practice different roles in the Swedish defense, and the ability to train for international efforts. The Battlefield 2 engine can also be applied to support the development of new management methods within the military. The Battlefield 2 game is being developed at the Digital Illusions office in Stockholm and will be launched in spring 2005. AerotechTelub is part of the SAAB group. For more information, please visit www.aerotechtelub.se. This sounds like a good deal for Digital Illusions. Hopefully their technology will be able to better the training programs for The Swedish Defense. Keep up all the good work guys! Source: Dice Website Comments (25)
